"Brother! What do you mean by death?" Listening to Lu Fei's voice, Li Jun did not hesitate to speak.
"I dare not be called brother by you. Look around carefully, this is not back in the sector, under the protection of the walls. Youa ctusolt dare to have the idea of attracting a monster toward us! Have you ever fought one? Did you win?" With the two question asked in succession, he shook his twice but this was obvious.
He actually dared to stand up claiming he could fight monsters with his little to no strength.
If Li Jun could rank this people in terms of strength, then the weakest link in the team was him, followed by this guy, but his confidence was too much.
He was indeed right, but that did not mean the two of them where the ones with the lowest combat power, on the contrary, it was far from the case.
Perhaps Emily was an anomaly, and should not be looked down upon, as for the three, Fei, Juxue and Cai'er he did not make any comment about them.
He was not so foolish to believe the behavior of this three, he always has that suspicion about people. But that did not mean he treated them as a threat at all.
He was just careful around them too. He was not as much concerned about them as he was about something expected coming up from the reckless nature they all had.
He had already an idea what was going, the trial they where under was not simple as his inteligence level of 55 allowed him to made guesses they where near the truth by just observing his circumstances.
"We are probably being sent in this place without regard for the loss of life that might happen." Li Jun was wary because of this.
For them to be put in such a dangerous environment did not match the nature of the immortal faction.
Those individuals care more about having a good reputation and seeing they did not stop this, he had a guess in his mind he could not confirm yet.
If that was the case, it meant the immortal faction was not a big decision maker in the world. Their high profile manner was probably something they where also allowed to do for a purpose.
Without even thinking having much understanding of the situation, he could already see this was a bloody trial. The purpose was to make sure this was to happen.
Looking around, he had determined they had to leave this region before they really attracted a monster over.
"Emily, let's move forward!" He spoke without even looking at this crazy group of people.
He was feeling very uneasy knowing that something had just passed by and could come their direction anytime.
He was someone that has some memories showing what happened when monsters attacked. Those that could not even put up defense where crushed so fast, and he was not interested in this outcome at all.
Things did not go the way he had planed at all, from the corner of his eye, a shadow was clearly visible.
It was approaching fast and he was not the only one that reacted.
Even Emily and overconfident Lu Fei where caught off guard.
The confidence he had built up seemed to collapse, he could not be blamed. The aura of savagery from the monster was already bringing them enough mental strain.
Not just them, even he felt it dificult to move, thankfully he still retained his rationality.
"Wake up!" With a shout, everyone seemed to regain their senses, but the fear in their minds was still present.
"What is this?" A shout came out from Tai Wei who seemed to recover right before Emily and Li Jun. This surprises Li Jun slightly, but he did not have time to care about this issue at all.
What followed was within his expectation as screaming from the three women took the stage.
He winked at Emily that threw out a slap, when it landed on Juxue's shoulder that was close to her, it caused her pain she then reacted and wanted to demand an explanation.
But seeing the look in Emily's eyes, she shivered for some reason, the only thing she heard next was a cold voice,"Tell them to shut up. If they continue to scream, it is best to just abandon them behind, anyway they are considered to serve as a good distraction for the rest of us to escape."
The moment she heard this words she shivered. She turned around to say something but the moment she laid her eyes on the monster gauging them silently as if planing to attack at any time, she froze in place.
Unfortunately for her, neither Li Jun nor Emily had any intentions of saying anything else.
"Run!" This was what Li Jun said before turning to look at Yu Tu and Emily with some approval hidden in his gaze.
The two did not even wait for him to explain anything, they reacted when he asked them to escape.
Without even knowing it, the worst nightmare of everyone in the group had just began. Some time back they where still talking about attracting the monster, and in the next moment it appeared.
The only problem was that the monster seemed to be more than they could handle. From the initial enthusiasm, to fear. If running was not the option, then what would it be.
Looking at Lu Fei that had already fled into the distance he thought secretly, "What about fighting monsters! It seems that this guy is quick to adapt to reality." he then then turned around and chose his direction.
Whether the screaming women stopped or not had nothing to do with him.
He was not on good terms with them anyway, at the moment everyone was for themselves.
When they realized this, they panicked and started shouting for help.
"Are this woman sick in the head?" This is what he thought, until he found that Fei's figure was long missing.
It was at this moment he knew, "What a scheming woman! She actually escped without even any of us realizing it."
He was even more wary of her, and everyone is else. "I have to be careful from now on, just because someone seems nice and gentle as a kid does not mean they are good people. She actually abandoned the other women she came with, and here I thought they where good sisters."
He was not shocked about this behavior, but just the individuals involved.
For himself, it would be a lie to say he had regrets, as he did not release the monster. It resembled a tiger and it had yet to even evolve, just like mortals, it was now the standard type of tiger.
The only problem was, even though it had not started on the path of evolution, its strength was beyond them. More importantly, to survive in the jungle, only killing was the way. This creature slaughtered others to reach its current height. How could it easy to deal with.
Escape was the only way, and even Li Jun was suspicious of their ability to escape unscathed.
This creature was enough to cause them massive loss, and yet the distance to the main objective was still far away.
In the classification of monsters, those that have yet to take the first step in the path of evolution are not deemed as a threat and left in certain areas as controlled sites for training.
Even through this monsters are considered less of a problem, the population is not left unchecked or this would be no different from raising wolves.
Such areas have a significant amount of monsters and those that manage to enter the first step of evolution will be targeted periodically.
Suprisingly, there are some that manage to slip through and escape from such areas in the end of the day, and the reason for this, is hard to guess. But there are indeed some that are able to slip through the crack, and continue on their journey of evolution.
In some cases, such monsters end up even attacking humans and the end result can be expected.
In the current state of the participants, no one among them is with the capability to tackle such a monster that has entered the first stage of evolution.
Once it appeared, the number of losses would be beyond anyone's understanding. Perhapa it is the reason that some strong people are present in the area.
They are to prevent such an event from happening, but they did not seem to make a move when the monster in the region Emily's team was located appeared.

In the sky, the woman that had been watching a good show seemed to be stunned slightly by the turn of events.
This was especially true for when those that where clamouring for attracting the monster being the fastest to escape.
"Very decisive little devils." She looked in some direction that Fei's figure was with some amusement.
