Time has passed ever since the day I determined to get stronger to keep Andri from being hunted. Life was surprisingly normal compare to before, but we still remain vigilant despite how peaceful it is.
WHOOSH!!!
I duck from an incoming projectiles flying towards where my head was before I run away from there. I detects trace of mana shot towards me.
Igniting the air around my palm, I unleash a controlled fire to block the projectiles. In front of me is Andri, who grew into a 3 feet majestic snow fox with twin tails.
"Your mana sensing has improved, Matt." I can't help but grin at his words.
"Well, I learn from the best." My brain sense another trace of mana from my back. Using mana to collect compressed air around my surrounding, I turn around to unleash powerful blast of wind, shattering an ice construct that's about to hit me.
"Don't get distracted, so easily." I duck from several shards of ice flying towards my head before mana detections sense huge chunk of mana flowing on the ground. Collecting as much air as I can on my feet, I jump from the ground before it freeze.
I widen my eyes when several magic circles appear around me. I guess I can test my new discovery.
Red energy starts to flow from my hand as I face my palm towards the magic circles. Red lightning appears from two of the magic circle before it shatters.
"Crud!" Before the magic circle prepare to shot magic towards me, I coat layers of mana around me before magic spells hit me. I was sent crashing to the ground as I groan from the impact.
The mana barrier is good defensive technique, but its not damage nullification.
"I guess you're as reckless as usual." I turn to see Andri approaching me while shaking his head. "Thank goodness these past 3 years we manage to curb every one of your reckless and crazy urges."
"It's not that bad...." I groan before chuckling.
"It's that bad, Matt." I sigh before grinning.
"So, how's my anti magic?" I asked.
"Need some work. Your mana control needs to be better if you want to produce as many anti energy as possible." I simply nodded. "But still, to think you manage to discover new type of power system from a broken anti-magic cuffs."
"It's not as much as new type of power system, Andri. People saw the material and learning that they can nullify magic, they simply stop there. Nothing more nothing less. They didn't ask themselves how does it works." I got up from the ground before applying myself healing magic to remove some bruises.
"And let's be honest, I'm right. I mean, their solutions of creating water out of magic? Think something wet! I mean, what!? I know sciences are hard, but is it really hard to find answers!?" I seriously questioning how this world is this primitive.
"Please don't ask. No one in this world has the same mindsets as otherworlders like you." I snorted.
"I can't be the only otherworlders that arrive in this world. I bet there's a country where said otherworlder share their knowledges." I mused. "But, then again, there's a chance that some of those otherworlders refuse to do so or didn't remember."
"It's not the only factor, Matt. Most otherworlders are brought straight from their world into here and reincarnations are very rare due to how complicated it is to sent a soul to an empty vessels." I blinked at the information dump. "And those otherworlders brought here as a nobody, especially in this world where nobles rule the kingdom."
"They refuse to accept other people's opinion." I deadpanned. Jeez, another cliche trope that can't be avoided.
"Those cliches are based on real things, ya know." Yeah, true.
"Anyways, what's your plan now?" I look at Andri who leans his head on my body.
"Another round of training would be nice." I stretch my own limbs before looking at the frozen area. "Okay, hang on." I place my palm on the ground to melt the ices before giving a pulse of Nature element mana to give a minor boost on the forest.
"If you do that 3 years ago, you'll going to faint and your face will meet with a pile of cow dung." I felt my eyes twitch at Andri before fire appears from my palm.
"DO YOU HAVE TO REMIND ME THAT DAY AGAIN!?!!!?"
BOOOMM!!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------
"Matt, I know you love magic training with Andri, but do you seriously have to overdid it?" I sheepishly grin as mom giving me a deadpan stare at me.
I can't blame her because both of us are a complete mess. Andri's once majestic fur coat now covers in dirts, leaves, branches, bark, and ashes. As for me, it's those and some scratches and bruises.
"Sorry, mom. But, if it wasn't for a certain someone brought up that day, I will be less aggressive." I glare at Andri who glares back.
"Note yourself this, if you don't want to be embarrassed by anyone, don't do something stupid in front of them." Oh, so that's how you wanna play, huh?
"This coming from a fox give in to their instinct and jump into a snow?" Andri widens his eyes before gasping.
"You dare!?!" Andri screams as I grin wider.
"Oh, yeah, I dare!" I shout back. Before we could do anything, a powerful torrent of water sent us flying straight into the wooden tub filled with water mixed with soap.
"If you two got time to embarrass each other, why don't you all instead use it to clean yourself up." Mom said with a tone that leaves no argument before closing the bathroom's door.
Both of us look at each other before snort escapes both of our mouth and we both starts chuckling, followed up with a full blown laughter.
"So.....we both agree we're being silly, right?" Andri asked.
"Nope, this is what happens when friends upgrade to best friend." Andri snorted at my reply.
"If this is how best friends act around each other, then there will be no dull moment ever going to happen." I shrugs before getting off the tub and taking off my clothes.
"Well, how's this for a dull moment?" Before Andri could reply, I immediately jumps into the tub and water splashes into Andri's face full force.
"Oh, it's on!"
Let's just say after a round of splash war, mom is disapprove but didn't complain since we manage to keep the water from escaping the bathroom and flood the house.
Yup, not a dull moment.
