Magic is complicated than I expected it to be. I thought that it is simply limited to energy conversion and manipulation, but given Nature Magic's existances, I can't help hut doubt it's only that.
I never got to prove that, so I believe that it's all it can do. But, today, I finally found a proof that shows how wrong I am.
And it's in a form of the spellbooks mom lent it to me since I was a kid. Mom refrain myself from getting to advanced magic since I was too young and inexperience.
I can't help but curious about the advanced magic based on what Andri told me back then, so I decided to take a peek on the book.
And my doubt resurfaced the moment I saw two types of magic I didn't consider it might exist.
Healing and Support Magic.
Healing magic converts the mana on your body into a completely foreign energy, and the energy will force the human's cell to copy itself and repairs the wound. It also act as a purification for any type of poisons by literally destroy it into nothing through contact.
For support magic, the user will create energy coating the target and grant various powers, like barrier, enhancement, debuffs, etc.
I can't help but facepalm towards myself for not thinking such poasibility. I played enough RPG and MOBA to know that they exist, yet here I am, forgotting shits like this.
It's safe to say that some theories I made about magic will be in a trash can.
I decided to try it myself by cutting my finger with a knife before applying the theory of healing magic. I was surprise at how easy it is until I read the page again.
Note: Any mages with affinity for Nature will find learning this magic easy.
All I can do is deadpan at the note left by the author. To think that my specialty is healing just because of ny affinity towards a certain element.
I guess that proves that magic is more than just advanced science like I thought it was. Sure, sciences will help a lot, but it shows that it's more than just that.
I decided to test what can I do more with just magic. Summoning Ignicullus, I add some mana to increases the intensity.
Can I pull a certain anime character's move with this?
I willed the flame to shape like a bow and arrow as the flame finally took shapes. I grin as a stringless bow and arrow appears on my hand.
Thank you mana control.
I pull the fire arrow backward as the bow stretched. Well, ain't that weird. Hmm, what if I add aura to a mix?
Activating my unique skill, I pour my aura into the flaming arrow as it suddenly turns blue. I wince at the sudden increases of heat, but I can feel the heat subsidued. I let go of the arrow and-
Wait, why is the arrow creates a sound of a flying missile!?
I pulls out rock from the ground and create barrier around myself before a loud explosions occur. I wince as the sound causes my ears to ring loudly and I can feel the heat intensifies from the explosions.
A minute passed as the heat stopped. I take a peek and pale at the damage I caused. A large crater around 5 feet radius alongside several blue embers around the area.
I summons water to put out the fires, but much to my surprise, my water immediately evaporates from the flame. I decided to use my unique skills again to combine the water vapour with my aura and summons water again, but to my surprise, the water was more than the one I summons before and sucxessfully extinguish the flames.
I covers the crater with earth and nature magic to hide any evidences. Thankfully. it work and no sign of changes shown. I sigh in relief before decided to leave the place, but I was greeted by Andri giving me a disbelief stare.
"...What the fuck was that!??" I never heard Andri curses, so I know how much I fucked up.
"....I can explain?" Nope, I can't.

"Of all moronic things you do, this one takes the whole cake!"
"I'm pretty sure that's not how you use that phrase."
"I was being serious! Why did you even think to use magic and aura with no supervision is a good idea!?" I wince as Andri roared at me.
"Sorry.....I was curious." I mutter lowly.
"That curiousity will get you killed! I've told you dozen times that you should not do any of those things, but no! You just have to! Why do you keep refuse to listen!?" I look away in shame, unable to meet his gaze.
"You have gone through mana exhaustion for 9 times in just a month, and you continue to ignore my warning!" Andri yelled at me as I winced.
"....." I don't have any words to say about this.
".....can I ask why you keep doing all this?" I look at Andri giving me a concern look.
"....I guess I was too caught up at all the possibilities magic can do." I admits.
".....you might need to control that urges to discover new things." Andri said. "I saw so many mages trying to find new ways of using magic, but only for them to fell prey to something they can't comprehend."
"Like necromancer?" I asked half-jokingly, half-curious. I wonder if it even exist-!
"How did you know that!?" I yelped as Andri grabs my collar and stare at me in horror and fear.
"Back in my world, magic depicted as reality-bending powers, which also include the power over life and death." I saw Andri sigh in relief.
"Yeah, I rather if you never discover how that magic works." Andri said sternly. "Or else I'll have to put you down myself."
"I'm not that suicidal." I said as Andri raised his eyebrow. "I mean it! I saw Anubis, God of Death himself. I rather not piss him off."
"Good..." Andri mutters. "Just....be careful...."
"Yeah, sorry...." We both ended up hugging each other solemnly.
