Few days has passed and I have to say, from.what mom and dad explains of how people learn magic or aura, they sure quite good at learning things.
Steven is easily one of the best students I ever meet, either in this life or my past life. All of those prodigy that easily learns new things with zero effort, it's basically him.
His Diamond Armor is amazing, easily the best defensive skill I ever seen. Mom and dad decided to try to test its durability and the armor leaves only small scratches and dents. If he grows older, he'll get more tanky. He picks up basic aura technique as easy as sponge absorbing water.
And for the second student, Anthony, he may be the most insufferable student I ever met. He is also a prodigy, in fact, he rivals Steven in picking up basic aura technique. And my god, did he won't stop bragging about it.
I really want to shove my aura blade through his ass, but since crime is frowned upon and mom will be disappointed, I stop myself from doing it.
But, that doesn't stop me from trolling him with the help of magic.
Speaking of magic, Lisa is a very good mage. Before training, she is able to learn severals beginner and intermediate level magic. And her progress in mastering them is also good.
Too bad that her mana is very low as she gets tired so easily.
For her sister, Sarah, I can only say one thing, she's a Ax-Crazy Blood Knight.
Ever since the training starts, she won't hesitant to ask for a 'friendly spar'. I doubt any of the spar with her is friendly given how fast she ignites her fist with fire made out of aura.
And for her unique skill, it does has versatility. It can launch a fireball by punching the air, the flame stays on despite you didn't clench your fist, and apparently, she can control the shape of her flames.
I seriously question why is it name Burning Fist of Warrior? I was hoping it'll be something more accurate and better like Spirit Flames or something.
As for me, aura training is meh. Because I was too focus on mana training, some of them stucks while doing aura training. Sadly, only some basic technique works similar to mana training.
I'm more focus on basics and try to not get used to the instinct I somehow develop with mana training. It's harder than I thought as I keeps switching into mana instead of aura.
Because of that, I'm a bit lacking in aura training.
It was sucks. The kids got easy time to train their aura or magic while I got stuck on another wall again.
I guess this is another setbacks for having such monstrous strength.
As for physical training, I didn't expect that I excel at it. But then again, none of them ever try to do physical training before getting aura.
Thank you Andri for forcing me to train in physical part while we have a mock magic battle.
"Something in your mind, Matt?" I look up to see mom smiling at me.
"Nothing much. Just some difficulties in aura training." I admits while trying to summon aura but it end up being mana again. It's still invisible, but thanks to my unique skill, I can see it.
"I don't blame you dealing with difficulties. You've been train in magic for years, so getting out of your comfort zone will be hard." Mom said while patting my hair as I stop the mana flow in my hand.
"I guess, no powers comes with no drawbacks...." I mutter.
"So, what do you think of your fellow students?" Mom asked.
"Steven is easily the most easygoing one. I love to talk with him, he's polite, nice, and friend-shaped." I said.
"Friend-shaped?" Mom blinked.
"It's how we describe something or someone naturally comfortable and enjoyable to be around." I said with a chuckle.
"I guess friend shaped is a right word." Mom chuckles as well.
"Anthony...he's annoying." I groan. "How did a kid has an ego the size of a sky, I never understand."
"Humility isn't his string suit." Mom teased.
"Oh, yeah. His existence alone screams 'I'm the superior being! Kneel before me, mongrel!'." I said jokingly.
"Don't be mean." Mom try to chastise me but her smile betrays her intention.
"For Lisa, she's.....too quiet. I try to start any conversation with her but it always end up awkward." I said while rubbing my head. "Then again, I never have experience talking to a girl."
"Well, maybe try harder. I would love to see that girl no longer have that lonely look in her face." Mom said with a smile.
"Gods, I hope so." I mutter. "And then there's her twin. Trust me, if it wasn't for their appearances, blond hair, baby fat cheeks, small nose, and similar skin tone, I thought she's the adopted one. I swear, I lose count on how much she ask each of us to spar since we start training!"
Mom actually laugh out loud this time and I joined in. It's one of the reason why I love my parents. Despite knowing my past life and everything, they never stop seeing me as part of the family, and it's really nice.
"But, at the end, I can't help but glad I meet them. Well, except for Anthony of course." I said as Mom smiled.
"Do you see them as friends?" Mom asked as I paused.
"...I would love to, but I don't know about them." I said with a shrug.
"I'm sure they see you as friends, Matt." Mom smiled while ruffles my hair again.
"Gods, I hope so..." I said while looking at the tomato plant I grew. "So, mom, got any advice to help me with aura problem?"
"Matt, you ask the wrong person." Mom said in amused tone.
"It's not wrong to ask." I shrugs. "Oh, well, let's try it again." I try to summon aura kn my palm again and this time it works I was happy and try to coat my hand with aura. But, sadly, it dissipate.
I stare at my hand for a while as mom suddenly snorts and starts laughing.
"OH, COME ON!!!"
