It smelled of salt and blood, and a constant muffled hum played in the background, like a whale singing in the ocean.
The goggles were supposed to provide crystal clear vision, however there was a blue tint to the surroundings. Edric removed the goggles to see if there was a problem but found that it was pitch black without them.
He took a careful step forward, and a strange force fought against him, almost like the air here was made of something denser... something like water.
~Strange,~ he thought to himself, before jumping slightly.
Despite the small amount of force he used, he rose quite a bit into the air, before falling back down slowly.
~It really is like I'm underwater,~ he realized.
This was going to make things harder than they already were. He wouldn't be able to move as fast because of the resistive force of the 'water-air' and he doubted that his brain would easily get used to the strange buoyancy that accompanied his jumps.
