Chapter 33 - Bloody Waters [III]

~Are these... chunks of flesh?~ he thought to himself, stretching his hands out to catch one of them.

It felt soft, squishy and wet.

Once he pressed on it a little, a small crimson cloud sprayed out, the unmistakable scent of blood bombarding his senses. An instant later, the other floating particles began to spray crimson mist as well, until eventually, the entire area looked like bloody waters.

"What in the world," he whispered, taking a step backwards.

An ear-piercing shriek shook the air around him, and he felt several gusts of wind come from everywhere all at once.

He instinctively turned around and headed towards the earlier section, however, he noticed a massive silhouette swimming in the distance. Its figure was veiled by the crimson mist like a creature of hell.

~How?~ he thought to himself, before rushing in the opposite direction.
