He swam above a sunken city, that spanned as far as the eye could see. Its marble buildings were shattered and ruined, and whatever people had lived here were long dead and forgotten.
There were statues of a woman carrying a trident, all over the city, so tall that they reached even the height that Edric was currently swimming.
These were the only structures untouched by whatever war had ravaged the area. They glowed faintly under the dark hue of the water, hinting that there was still some dormant power present within them.
Despite the city's ruined nature, its beauty was as clear as day. Various flora and fauna claimed the forgotten buildings as their home, giving colour and life to what should've been a pitiful sight.
Green, pink, and purple corrals lined the statues of the trident woman. Fish that flapped their fins as if they were birds, swam all around, eating from the vibrant green vegetation that grew from the buildings.
