Chapter 36 - Loot: Deadly Depths Part 1

She flew a few centimetres short of the summit, before turning back to her human form. For a moment, her cloak flapped in the wind, revealing an expensive-looking crossbow that had black detailings instead of the standard blue.

She gave Edric a quick glance, covering her crossbow before climbing to the top, a confused expression on her face.

Edric had a lot of questions, however, he wasn't in a position to be thinking about all that right now. The water wall was fast approaching, and he still had some distance to cover.

It felt like he was moving slowly, each climb forward stretched to an agonizing crawl, while the speed of the water wall seemed to only increase with each passing second.

When the summit was right in view, he could feel the cold aura of the water wall right at the tip of his soles, the ravenous worms splashing some of the water as they writhed in hunger.
