The Aderon Continent, home to four major races who had wisely formed their own kingdoms to avoid conflicts.
First, there are the Elves, humanoid beings graced with elegant, pointed ears. Their kingdom of Woodrow was nestled deep within the heart of the forests which is located beyond the northern mountains.
Then came the Dwarves, a distinctive race of sturdy and powerful humanoids who made their home in the underground Kingdom of Dragruel, nestled beneath the Northern Mountains to the north.
Next, the Beastmen, a humanoid race possessing both beastly features and extraordinary physical prowess. They thrived in the western forest some where within the Mir Kingdom.
Lastly, the most common race, Humans, called the Kingdom of Vrisorid their home in the southern part of the continent.
These races are spread across the continent, and for thousands of years, they have coexisted peacefully with humans.
Legends say there are other continents aside from Aderon, but the vastness of the Dense forests and sea has kept most people from discovering much about them. Thus, officially, Aderon is the only continent known to us.
While other races like the Balsik and the Numas once existed, since the end of the Holy War, most of the Legendary beasts and other races have vanished without a trace, believed to be possibly extinct according to the people.
In this World, a person's magical capability is the determinant of their power and authority.
In this world, Mana comes from the force of life. As a result, Mana Arts or Magic are a part of everyone and everything, including the world's atmosphere. Nonetheless, not everyone is capable of possessing mana. Because the mage-to-non-mage ratio is one out of every hundred.
So far, no conflict has resulted from these differences, and no tensions exist between either side. There are some who are looking into ways to expand the magical potential within each being, so far with only small successes.
There are many uses for magic, but according to the legends, it was initially created for warfare, battles and hunting. However, magic is necessary for survival in this world dominated by powerful individuals.
Mages would draw mana from the surrounding environment into their bodies, eventually condensing it in their Mana Core.
A Mana Core or foundation can be activated when a person is born. Following that, you can use magic as long as you have mana in your core.
A Mana Core can be one of six different colors: black, red, orange, yellow, silver, or white.
Because the body's blood and other impurities mix with the mana particles as they form a mana core, one's mana colour begins as black.
Except for white core, which does not have stages, each stage of the mana core colors is divided into three shades (dark, solid, and light). In general, the purer one's mana core was, the lighter the mana core colour. As a result, one had greater access to power.
The mana core becomes purer over time as impurities are filtered out, with dark, solid, and light stages for each colour.
The mana core's colors are Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Silver, and White. After White the next stage is unknown, and there was no one who had progressed further than White core.
There only legends about people progressed towards the unknown level, can reach the level beyond every living thing.
"Humph."
"Humph!"
"Seems like the energy flow from my body still isn't stabilized. Lets try using the sword to gather mana! Hah!"
I muttered to myself while swinging my sword as part of my training to enhance my connection with this world's energy or mana as the people here termed it.
I, once great hero Gladius Agroth, reincarnated into a new world after defeating the Demon King. Even-though the start of my life in this world was much sadder and emotional, I still am thankful to my late mother who brought me into this world.
My name is Ryan Dainsleif now and I for one kind of like the way it sounds.
Currently, I reside in Luton City, within the Vrisorid Kingdom. Positioned in the innermost part of the Kingdom, Luton City serves as one of the entrance cities leading towards the Central City.
