Chapter 6 - The Guild Master's Office

"Let's check it out!"

I said as we both walked towards the gathered students.

As we got near to the group, I quickly recognized it really was a fight.

Inside the circle of students watching, there were three senior students sitting above some new students. There were two more new students present, but they were kneeling down with bruises all over their bodies.

I can clearly see the noble guys act trash like this. I can't take this anymore.

"Now, you better listen up, kids. We are the seniors here, so you should be respectful towards your noble seniors. Got that?"

"Ha... Yes sir..!"

"We can't hear ya!"

"YES SIR!"

Ah... these noble shits. Just because they are born in a noble house, they think they are so great. I complained about this to father a million times, but it seems I can't ask him again for this. I should just take things into my own hands.

"Make Way! Make Way!" Leon cleared up the path for us both to go inside the circle.

"Hey, isn't that Ryan?"

"Yeah, it is him!"

The students gathered started to chatter and talk about me after seeing me enter there.

Humph...

"Hey Silva! Are you bullying students again?"

I yelled at the guy who was sitting in the center and apparently the leader of the bullies, Silva Hart. He was the son of Baron Hart and one of the senior students here.

He and I aren't on good terms, and I would just ignore him for every idiotic thing he does, but as a person who is respected by my fellow classmates, I should at least help them... right?

"Yeah? What's it to ya?" Silva started to talk back in arrogance.

I swear, this attitude is really pissing me off.

"Let them go Silva!" I said to him with a calm look.

Its not like can just use force with him straight away right? what difference would it make between me and an asshole like him.

After seeing me asking them politely but a angry look, the guy near Silva, one of his lackeys bent to him and said, "Young Master, this guy is dangerous. He is the Guild Master's son and if word gets out, your will be trouble." with a concerned yet arrogance look pointed at me.

Silva Hart looked at the lackey who was just talking to him and reacted, "Tch"

Well, even if I am ashamed of him being feared by my father's name and not my own strength, it would be the best option to save these kids from those a-hole bullies.

"I will leave for now. But this isn't over yet. Mr. Guild Master's son!" Silva said with an angry face and an annoyed look on his face.

As the bullies walked past me and my fellow junior classmates, I walked up to the new students and helped them.

"Are you guys okay? Here, let me help you!" I asked them with a courageous smile.

"Oh! Thank you, sir!"

"Yes, if you hadn't shown up, those guys would've just beat us to death!"

"Oh..It's nothing, guys. We are all fellow classmates here. My name is Ryan Dainsleif by the way, and you can call me Ray. Nice to meet you all!" I introduced myself.

"Are there any healers here?" I asked to the crowd standing around.

"Yes! I'm a healer."

"Yeah...me too!!!"

"Same here!"

"Good. Could you guys please heal our friends here?" I asked them so these kids who got bullied would be healed and feel better for now.

"Sure!" they all agreed and proceeded with that.

After that was all taken care of, the students thanked me and left as soon as they got healed.

However, the healers were just junior students who are around Red or orange state. Because of that, they were exhausted and fully depleted of mana and it seems the healing was taking a toll on the junior healers who were healing them all.

I should thank them properly.

"Thank you for healing those students, guys!" I said to them all with a smile.

"Oh no problem, Ray. We know you would do the same if we were in those students' place."

"Hmm-hmm."

"That's true, Ryan!"

...Well. I was expecting them to say something like "It's nothing!" and just take off, but these guys know how to make me feel like a leader here.

After that, me and Leon started to go towards the food providers in the cafeteria and brought our food to our table.

"Hey Ryan, I forgot to inform you of something!"

"Oh. What is it, Leon?"

"The Guild master was asking for you before when I came to get you."

"Father was asking for me. Why?"

"Who knows? You two act much mentor-student like in the guild and father-son like in the days off."

So he says. Although I do accept my father is that kind of person. And when me and my classmates are around, I'm calling him Guild master or sir, respectfully, as he is one of the mentors for us all.

I wonder though. Why was father calling me.

"I will go see him after eating. You go straight to the dorms. I will be back after speaking with him." I replied to Leon while stuffing my face with the ham.

"Roger that!" he replied while slurping his juice.

...

The Guild Master's office is located on the second floor, so I walked out of the cafeteria, took the stairs, and started to head towards my father's office.

As I reached his office, I knocked on the door three times to signal him that I, his son, am here for him and not some official waiting to report something to him.

"Come in!" I heard his voice through the door and pushed it open.

In his desk, which is in the middle-top of the room, my father sat as a dignified middle-aged man. Even though he was a mage in major, his face was as fortified as a knife and an axe, with his sword brows on his temples.

His strong hold in appearance would make anyone anxious to speak with him after seeing how strong he looks. Only I know what kind of softie he is.

Although I have come to this room many times, I was amazed by the shine of the floors and well-arranged neat room my father maintains here. The bookshelves on both sides contain valuable contents about magic and this world, and the bookshelf behind his chair is the official shelf where he keeps stuff regarding the guild and stuff.

If a secret book in the bookshelf behind him is pulled out, we can open another room which is where my father stays.

I used to live there too, but due to me being a student here, I'm only allowed to stay in the dorms since a year ago.
