Seems like there are people like that who shout out their moves before attacking. I would go against it because it would give away your attack if the opponent predicts it; however, if that's how you can will more mana into an attack power, it is certainly useful.
Come to think of it, the girl and the boy are wearing the same outfits. It's like they are wearing some kind of uniform we students in the magic guild wear while attending the classes.
"This is what the students of the central can do nowadays? Well, damn. They certainly know how to show off!" My father said with a smirk.
Students of the central?
"Father, what do you mean?" I asked him curiously.
"You see son, the big sister and the big brother who are there, they are from the Central Academy located in the central capital, Atlas City!" he said.
The Central academy huh? I have heard about it before.
The Central Academy is a famous and prestigious institution built in Atlas City. It is an institution hailed as the most exalted sanctuary for any would-be mages privileged enough to have both the background and talent to enter.
Though there are many other academies scattered throughout the Kingdom of Vrisorid, the difference between those second-rate schools and Central academy was incomparable.
Those who qualified to graduate from Central academy were guaranteed a prosperous future and life. They were hailed as true elites, even among nobles. It was rumored that the top graduates could even become honored guards, instructors, or military leaders for the Royal Family, for the King of the entire race of humans, elves, dwarves, and the beast-folk on this continent. Of course, some choose to go the more humble route and focused on research by joining one of the Magic guilds too.
I have never met a student studying currently in the central academy before, but I have seen the ones who dropped out or graduated as they would come to the magic guild as mages and adventurers. I would hear their stories and their life in that academy.
"Ryan! Let's get a move on. We shouldn't be here." My father said to me as he was smiling. It seems like he doesn't want us both to get in their way.
Well, I've got to say. Even for students of some prestigious school, they seem to be only at the orange-solid to light level.
What can I say. Maybe they are new students or something. After all, I don't want to waste time seeing this party and do my adventuring stuff now I'm in this place.
So, I'll do what he says. I too want the same, and seeing the boy made me fired up. I'd like to fight a mana beast as well.
"Yes Father!" I replied as we both turned around to leave the place.
"Who is there, come on out!" the middle-aged man with the sword yelled out towards the place where we were standing.
"I should've guessed it. Seems like they found us out. Let's go and meet them properly son!" My father said with a smile.
Seems like while turning around, the noise we both made should've given us away.
Taking a sigh, I played along with my father as we both stepped out of the bushes and walked towards the party with a smile.
"Hey there! we mean no trouble. We were just passing by. My father spoke out as we were walking towards them and showing his adventurer's license, which was taken out from his spatial ring while we turned back to meet them.
Well, they were certainly surprised by my father's warrior-like appearance, but after seeing me, their reactions just became so flabbergasted.
"A Kid?"
"A Kid?"
"It's a Kid?"
"Isn't he cute?"
I can't blame them though. I'm seven years old after all.
"Oh! seems like you two really are just passing by, even though you, a grown man, is adventuring with....hey kid! how old are you?" The middle-aged man asked as he was speaking.
"I'm seven this year sir!" I replied with a cheerful voice.
"Right..With a seven-year...WHAT? how do you even manage to bring a seven-year-old into the wilderness!?" The man was flabbergasted.
My stature is slightly taller than others of the same age, so, I can't blame him there.
"Well, you see sir. My name is Samuel Dainsleif. The magic guild's guild master. And this is my son, Ryan Dainsleif. I brought him here today to teach him stuff about magical beasts and about the forest" My father said to them with a confident smile.
"Oh. It's nice to meet you good sir!" The young man in who appeared in his twenties greeted my father back and gave me a nod as well. He was pretty good-mannered.
"That explains how the cute kid got to enter into this wilderness!" The girl said with a smile and was staring at me in a creepy way.
The talking continued as I got to know their names.
The girl who was using Water magic is Leyla Sylriod. The guy who was another student with Leyla was her older brother, Lucas Sylriod. The young man in his twenties with the spear is Adam. The middle-aged man with the sword is Durden Walker.
After that, we helped them all to camp out for the time being in the same place where they had defeated the Flame Lion. And as we sat down, Lucas took out the meat of some magical beasts that they had hunted down and cleaned up for their meal.
At first, my father and I were about to leave as it seemed like we spent so much time here and we need to head back to the Magic guild. But, after Leyla tightly imprisoning me with her hug that nearly killed me, she compelled us to spend the evening with them all with some food.
Me and Leyla helped Adam to prepare the fire using my fire magic. Durden and my father were mixing up some ingredients for heating the meat before eating.
