Certainly! Here's the corrected version:
We all thanked Richard and found a table to sit together. The cafeteria was filled with students chatting and enjoying their meals.
As we started eating, Leon and Helen continued their playful banter. It seemed like they had a special bond despite Leon's protests. I couldn't help but smile at their interactions.
"So, Ryan, what do you like to do in your free time?" Helen asked, directing the conversation toward me.
"I train my body and work with weapons available in the training area after classes. I also read about magic and stuff!" I replied.
"That's cool! I've always wanted to use a sword, but my family is more into magic. I'm not that great at it, though," she admitted with a sheepish grin.
"Well, if you ever want to learn, I can help you out. I can assist you with swords and magic, but you have to put effort into developing further!" I offered.
"Really? That would be awesome!" Helen's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Haha. Seeing how free and extroverted she is makes me remember someone who is the complete opposite of Helen. The Cold princess, Evana.
Evana had a petite, doll-like appearance with porcelain-white skin, big dark eyes, thick lashes, black hair, and small lips. She also had a delicate, small stature, which makes her appear delicate enough that I want to get to know her more.
She is really pretty for someone of her age, and like me, she seems so focused on her work. However, her stoic expression and rare display of emotions make it hard for anyone to understand her.
While Helen had short, curled brown hair, and blue eyes. She wasn't as pretty as Evana, but she was beautiful in her way.
This is the first time in this world I have met someone who I wasn't able to get through on the first try.
Suddenly, as we were having the meal and I was thinking about these things, "Ryan!" A voice rang out from the cafeteria's entrance.
It was Ms. Angela. She seems to be in a hurry, and why is she panting this much?
"What is it, Ms. Angela?" I asked her from the place where I was sitting.
"You have to go to the Guild master's office soon!"
My father is calling for me? Why? It's better to go prepared. And it's not like I can leave my lunch.
"Has Ray gotten into a fight or something?"
"Seems like a serious matter, though?"
"Ryan isn't a guy to cause trouble. He is a sweet boy!"
The students who were eating in the cafeteria started to whisper.
"Ryan, you better go. We will meet you later!" Helen said as Leon nodded, "Yeah. You should go, man. We will talk later. Can I take the steak from your plate? You aren't going to eat that, right?"
"Really, Leon?" Helen spoke out as soon as she heard Leon.
"Well, take it. Helen, you take half too. I will just take the juice and go!" I said as I slurped all of my juice and ran to the cafeteria's entrance.
"Alright, guys. I will see you guys later." I shouted as I waved my hands to my friends and started to head towards the Guild Master's office.
Ms. Angela left after seeing me heading upstairs.
...
As soon as I got to the guild master's office, I knocked on the door thrice, and after getting a "Come In!" signal from my father, I opened the door and headed inside.
Pushing open the door, two people were sitting inside the office with my father sitting in his guild master's chair. And a familiar face was sitting among the two as well. It was the middle-aged man of the central party, Durden Walker.
The other man seems to be around my father's age or above, and from the mana flow around him, he should be at least at the silver-light stage. Who is this man?
"Good afternoon, Guild Master. Hello, Sir, hello, Sir Durden. Have you been well?" I greeted them in a noble way.
"Well, Sam, you have raised your son well, I see!" The man said as my father smiled in pride. "Of course. Although, he learned most of the things himself, I was only able to guide his path to growth." My father replied.
"Well, I know firsthand of Ryan's capabilities. Thanks to him, our student Leyla is alive now!" Mr. Durden said with a thankful smile.
"It's nothing, sir. Anyone would've done the same thing!" I said with a dignified voice.
Seems like Leyla is doing fine. And as for saving her from death? She was just poisoned by an E-ranked spider, and saving someone from that kind of thing is nothing I would be proud of.
That aside, this man seems to be an important figure from my father's manners towards him. And with Durden here, is he a teacher in the Central academy?
"Seems like he is confused, Sam! Won't you introduce my nephew to me?" the man said with a gentle laugh.
..wait. Nephew? Is he related to my father somehow?
"Ah yes. Ryan, meet your uncle, George Aurae. He is my wife's...let's just say your mother's younger brother, and the vice-dean of the Central Academy."
What. the. HELL?
My mother? My father is married?
I thought he was an unmarried man, but it seems like he has his story behind him as well.
I'm surprised but at the same time, I feel happy. I lost my real mother whose name and family are unknown to me, and now with the wife of my adopted father would make me have an adopted mother as well.
Now that my father's truth is coming out, do I have any siblings as well? I always wanted a little sister.
"My...mother?" I asked with surprise.
"Yes. You see, me and her are no longer together, but as I am a father to you, she is a mother to you too. You have a sister and a brother as well. Although they are five years older than you are..haha."
I do have siblings now. They being older than me doesn't change the fact, though.
"Alright!" I said with a confused face. Well, what could they expect from me as soon as they say something ridiculous.
