Four years passed, and I swiftly celebrated my eleventh birthday alongside my graduation. Only Evana and I were granted special permission to take the final examination of our apprenticeship from the Magic Guild.
My father played a crucial role in securing my early graduation. Finally, I had become a Yellow-Light stage mage, capable of fully utilizing my Wind and Flame attributes through precise mana manipulation and control, preparing me for my journey as an adventurer. he even gifted me my own sword for my graduation as well as for my birthday as couldn't some thing I would value more.
As for Evana, when I inquired about her early graduation, she simply mentioned that her father insisted on it.
As expected, she achieved the status of a Yellow-Dark staged mage, showcasing her exceptional aptitude. However, at the graduation ceremony, she left immediately after receiving her award, without saying a word to me or the others.
Despite this, over the years of dedicated effort, Evana and I grew remarkably close, spending most of our time together—although, admittedly, not without some awkward moments that, in hindsight, seemed trivial. Reflecting on it now, I realized I struggled initially with her cold demeanor.
While her attitude towards others remained largely unchanged, she developed a strong fondness for both Helen and me, with Helen eventually becoming her best friend in the guild. On the other hand, Leon unexpectedly dropped out of the apprenticeship about two years ago due to personal reasons.
Before his departure, I refrained from probing too much, sensing that the decision weighed heavily on him.
Despite the closeness we shared as friends, Leon accepted the path he had to take. He made me a promise that we would meet again and, when that time came, we would determine who had grown stronger. I couldn't help but feel proud of my friend.
And now, with all training I went through to become a yellow-light staged mage at the age of eleven, my guild members and my father said I was the youngest person to ever become a yellow-light staged mage.
Well, what can I say. I didn't waste my time and used all my trainings with the memories of my past life. And now, alongside mana flow and magic, I have attained the Aura manipulation, which was a major skill to utilize the elemental energy in my past life.
Thankful to this world, my elemental energy is synchronized with my mana core, leading me to cultivate it along with the mana flow. Not to mention I've gone through hell while training my body to get to awaken my aura.
An aura is a type of power that many heavily trained individuals in my past life awakened. Aura represents our inner soul and it is a a part of a person's strength, and cultivating Aura lets them manipulate their soul to increase their physic in my past life. And even my mana flow in this world as I'm the only person to have used it.
Aside from magical stuff, I think I grew a bit and my hair is now grown significantly after refusing to cut it, extending just past my ears, and above my neck.
My father insisted me to get haircuts again and again over these years while it was growing to be what it is now, but I always change the subject while he is talking about my hair. He would still insist me but after my graduation, he didn't seems to care about my hair being like this.
My blue eyes didn't really change but the blue hue in my eyes when I see myself in the mirror seems to be glowing lightly when I use mana.
"Ryan! Are you ready?" My father asked as I prepping myself to take up the adventurer's exam today.
"Yes father. I will be there in a sec!" I replied while, I changed my outfit, wearing nothing but a plain t-shirt and slacks, putting on my glove, and carrying the Hoodie and Potions, along with a few other things, into my bag. I slung a sword my father got me as my graduation gift and the dagger that my father gave me when I was young, around my waist.
My father said he ordered the sword from a dwarven workshop in the central city and he got it a week before he present it to me.
And seeing the blade, sure enough, it was a work of fine blacksmith. The sword a kind of crimson steel which quickly reacted to my mana and while trying to use it, it actually amplified my techniques two fold. The Sword had a stark contrast to the matte-black scabbard and the handle. No markings, and no decorations, with a razor-sharp point this weapon is the ideal choice to turn my enemies into Swiss cheese.
And my father also got me a mask to hid myself from the other adventurers. As being a eleven year old now, no one would acknowledge me as a full fledged adventurer even with the skills I have.
So, he gave me a mask infused with four effects. Magic Resistance, Breathing Support and Amplify Senses.
Not to mention, it looked just plain white with holes for my eyes. Well, if that's what takes to change my persona to become an adventurer, I might as well change my name while adventuring.
As soon as I got ready, my father and I took one of the carriages in the Magic Guild to go to the Adventurer's guild as it was located further into the city.
...
When I entered the Adventurer Guild's Hall, it was not what I had expected.
Sure I knew it would be different from the Magic Guild as the magic guild acts as a asylum for research and teachings, but now what I was seeing is just like a well maintained mercenary recruiting office.
I saw a vivid visual of a location full with goons gathered around wooden tables downing beer. Instead, it was a structure oozing with prestige and elegance.
Like a religious museum, a marble building towered over us. Once inside, it was evident how much effort had gone into the intricately constructed decor. There were metal tables nearby, and I could see other adventures passing us by. The entire building had an opulence that didn't fit me, let alone some of the barbarian-looking explorers here, but I just kept walking.
"Welcome! How may I help the two of you?" The prepared smile of the female receptionist shined a glossy white. That was until she didn't my father clearly. Haha, as my father slid his identity token towards the woman, I remained silent.
"I would like to sponsor him for a rank examination." his face remained expressionless as he said curtly.
"OH MY!!! The the magic guild's guild master?! Oh my! Welcome sir!! Y-Yes! I understand," the receptionist answered, nodding her head kinda strummed-fervently as she handed back the token.
As a kingdom which values strong individuals, my father was one of the higher authorities in the whole kingdom for magic research. Not to mention his muscular warrior like appearance would be enough to make anyone run away.
Can't blame her though. Well, she took a deep sigh and relaxed herself before her next words. "Please sir, come over this way." she said.
The woman rose from her seat and opened the door beside us from the other side. I couldn't help but notice the quiet murmuring around us as we walked in.
"Hey! isn't that the Magic Guild's guild master?"
"Why is he here!?"
"Hey hey! there's someone taking a rank examination," someone whispered.
"That Guy looks so short though! right boss?" another hoarse voice mocked blatantly.
