Sonya was perplexed, and in her heart, she feared Louise was marrying someone else after calling him to end her relationship with him. But, despite her disappointment, she maintained a neutral expression as she stared at him.
"I announced that I am marrying you; my mother did not like it and has been looking for a way to change my mind," Louise replied.
Sonya was staring at him with her mouth open. Huh married to her, she thought.
Louise saw the warmth creep up on her cheeks, he smirked at her and said, "You seem happy, I thought you wanted to cut all ties with me."
"It is still the same, this is for our families, look what your mother did to stop you, we should stop," Sonya said, glancing at him.
Louise appeared as though someone had just slapped him in the face. He got up, crossed the bed to where she was, and loomed over her.
