'Eloise Bradbury should get lost!'
'Eloise Bradbury sucks."
'Eloise Bradbury is such an industrial joke.'
'Get lost we don't want you!'
'Just die and never come back to the acting world again!'
'Boo! You flop! Eloise Bradbury is a flopping actress.'
'We don't want you.'
These were the only things in Eloise's head as she remembered the part of her memories that she was trying to block away.
This was it, they always remembered her as the actress who flopped.
Like why were they so mean? Eloise asked deep inside her consciousness. Was she the only actress who failed in the history of acting?
But it was this way only because of one person, Eloise thought and gave Ruth a deep piercing glare.
But that was all she could do, just glare at the wench and nothing else.
And while the others were laughing and making jest of her, Eloise was fighting extremely hard to push the bad memories away.
By now her eyes were pooled up with unshed tears while her glare at Ruth only intensified.
Ruth who noticed it felt her skin crawl as goosebumps filled her milky skin, making all hairs on her back stand on edge.
'Huh? Why is she looking at me in such a manner? I'm sure she's feeling miserable already, exactly what I want.'
"Hey!" Ruth interrupted the others who were still laughing to their heart content. "All of you should shut it! How can you say such things about her? She used to be good back then, right? Right, Eloise?" She turned to Eloise and asked this time, giving Eloise an ignorant stare.
"Nah, I doubt that, I mean look how pathetic she is, good my ass, haha!" Someone from the table commented and laughed and the others joined in and they laughed out loud.
"Enough!" Ruth shouted and they immediately stopped and she went on to speak, "Look at her eyes, they are now filled with tears and it's thanks to you all. You should apologize for making her feel this way."
She finished and turned fully to face Eloise who was still silent but the tears that had pooled up in her eyes were now rolling down her flushed cheeks.
"Listen, you don't have to feel bad, you don't have to listen to them. No need to feel pathetic about yourself. Though you used to flop, that's in the past, maybe you should do something else, you know, there's a lot to do other than being an actress. That's a dream you can't achieve, just give up already and move on."
And while Ruth was talking, the others were nodding in agreement and someone said, "That's so true, acting is definitely not for everyone, get a life already."
"Now cheer up and have a drink with us. And I'd also love to visit you someday so we could hang out like we used to, I hope you'll invite me over to your big house, I can still remember how beautiful that mansion was, except..." Ruth paused and gasped before proceeding, "Don't Tell me that beautiful mansion was taken away from you too? Things must have been so difficult for you and..."
But Ruth couldn't complete her sentence when Eloise forcefully removed her hands from Ruth's hold as she had heard enough.
And after giving Ruth one last hard glare, Eloise walked away from their table.
"Hey, what's wrong with her? How rude." Someone said and Ivy who had been quiet the whole time nodded and said.
"Our Ms Ruth is the kindest of all, yet someone is being rude." She snorted and glared in the direction of Eloise's table.
"Hey, don't worry, I actually took a photo of her and would post it online, people would see how pathetic she is now, hahaha!!" Someone who sat directly opposite Ruth said while showing the screen of his mobile phone and they all laughed along.
Meanwhile, Ruth was feeling way better than ever. Nothing feels as great as putting a bitch in her place.
With teary eyes, Eloise walked slightly unsteadily towards her table and there she saw her best friend already passed out.
'How could she be like this? Of all time to pass out, why now?' Eloise questioned, already feeling her head throbbing as she thought of how she would carry Leah out of this place without making a mess.
She let out a shaky breath as she wiped her tears. Eloise went on to settle the bills while being conscious of the eyes' boring holes in her.
Afterwards, she walked up to Leah and gently tapped on her but Leah was too drunk to wake up.
Eloise sighed and decided to just carry her.
'What choice do I have?' She questioned herself and went on to gently carry Leah out of the bar.
After a few minutes of trying, Eloise successfully carried Leah out of the bar.
The sun was setting, it would soon be night time and it was a bit breezy.
With Leah heavily on her back, Eloise stood outside as she let the breeze touch her for a bit.
But she needed to keep moving and she did, with so much effort, Eloise walked towards where Elizabeth was parked and threw Leah in the back seat, Eloise then settled in the driver's seat, she was the only person sane enough to drive them away from here.
She sat there for a while, everything that had happened inside that bar was now replaying in her head.
And as she held on to the steering wheel, anger surged through her that she was visibly shaking while clenching the steering.
"How dare she...how dare..."
Though she hated it so much, she couldn't stop the tears that rolled down her cheeks.
She was only human after all, she just couldn't hold it in.
"Huh? I told you not to give up on your dreams, we are strong women after all, hehe." A half-unconscious Leah spoke up in a drowsy voice.
"Hahaha!" Eloise laughed maniacally in response to what Leah said. "You fool! I'm seriously losing it! Hahaha!"
She continued laughing while tears endlessly rolled down her cheeks and an ignorant Leah joined in the maniac laughter, leaving Eloise utterly in disbelief.
"Hahaha! What a crazy stupid best friend I have. The heavens really blessed me with such a wonderful soul, I'm so lucky to have you, Leah! Hahaha!"
With tears filled up in her eyes, Eloise screamed and laughed and Leah joined in too and she laughed like she was listening to a joke from an old friend.
