"Hahaha! Today's shooting went well and smooth!" A man happily said, holding a bottle of beer, its content halfway down.
"Yes hahaha! And it's all thanks to our beautiful actress Ms Ruth, cheers to her everyone!" Another man seated right next to the first man concurred.
"Cheers!" Everyone seated around the table chorused while clicking their respective bottle of drinks together.
"Hahaha! You flatter me so much Mr Daniel, I don't think I was that great, haha!" A red-haired lady said with a smile, her cheeks red from all the praises she was receiving from the men from their movie crew. Her name was Ruth Mayer.
"There's no way Ms Ruth, you are simply the best." Ivy, a dark-haired lady who looks younger chimed in with a smile as bright as the morning sunlight.
The table consisting of seven individuals was lively and cheerful as they filled Ruth with songs of praise while thankful for their successful shooting today.
Meanwhile, Ruth who sat just next to her assistant Ivy felt like she was floating on cloud nine seeing all the praises being sent her way.
'That's right, I deserve all this.' She thought before taking a slow but long sip from her glass filled with beer.
Ruth Mayer was a beautiful red-haired actress who was a fast-rising star, in just two years of joining the industry, she was already getting famous and a name for herself.
She once received an award for being the best new actress of the year.
The table was still cheerful and loud when Ivy noticed the table on the other side of the bar, at first she was going to ignore the other people's existence.
However, she was quick to recognize the blondy seated on the other table and her eyes went wide from shock.
"So she is still around?" Ivy questioned softly but Ruth was somehow quick to catch on.
"What? Who are you speaking about?" Ruth leaned towards Ivy and asked after she heard and noticed the shift in Ivy's behaviour.
"Uhh...uhm...the thing is..."
"Yes? Please speak properly, you aren't dumb." Ruth pressed, already feeling impatient.
But she was quick to notice the direction Ivy's stares were going and she quickly followed only to see a table with two ladies.
"So? What the hell is the problem with...hold on. Is that... Eloise?" Ruth asked immediately after noticing who it actually was. And Ivy nodded in reply.
"Tch, what a bloody coincidence, again."
"Again?" Ruth asked because she was quick to catch up on that word. "You two already met?"
"Eloise?!" Ruth ignored Ivy's question and went on to shout Eloise's name, her frown completely disappearing and was replaced with a bright toothy smile.
And that was enough to leave poor Ivy confused.
"But..." Before Ivy could voice out her confusion, but Ruth already stood up from her seat and walked towards Eloise's chair.
Everyone at the table became quiet as they watched their queen Ruth with curiosity walk towards another table.
Ruth's smile never left her face, in fact, it got wider. 'What a perfect coincidence,' she thought in her head.
As she walked towards Eloise's table, her tall slender physique came into everyone's view. Ruth was indeed a beauty and the short red gown perfectly matched her red long hair.
She finally got to Eloise's table and she began, "Hi Eloise! It's such a surprise meeting you here."
But she got a glare and silence from Eloise as a reply.
And that was enough to make her feel awkward but she laughed it off and went on to grab Eloise's hand only for Eloise to snatch her hands away from Ruth's grasp.
"You shameless devil," Eloise said in a low whisper.
"What? Haha! Stop being this way, it's been so long since I saw you last, I thought you must have left the city after everything you went through." Ruth said with a broad smile but Eloise understood the underline meaning.
"How about you turn around and go back to the table where you came from?" Eloise replied in an uninterested tone.
"Yo, who the hell is this?" A halfway drunk Leah asked, staring intently at Ruth who chose to ignore her.
"Haha! Why don't you come over to my table, I'd like to introduce you to the rest." Ruth spoke in the most sweetest way she could think of but Eloise knew better.
"Yo Eloise, it seems you found yourself a new friend, haha! You always magnet good things. What are you waiting for? Quickly, stand up and go ahead with her, I'll be fine on my own, eh?" Leah said in her drunken state.
"You fool, how are you already so drunk?" Eloise said, suppressing the urge to give her best friend a hard blow on her face to make her sober up.
"C'mon Eloise." Ruth ignored the stupid drunk person seated opposite Eloise and went ahead to grab Eloise by the hand but this time tighter.
She pulled Eloise up from her seat and proceeded to drag her towards her own table.
Meanwhile, Eloise was utterly shocked at how strong Ruth's grasp was.
'How is she so strong? Even stronger than me. Must be the alcohol acting to my disadvantage, although I'm not drunk. Shit.'
"Yo, look at her, already making friends. I'm so proud of you, haha!" Leah said and afterwards passed out right on the table.
"What do you want?" Eloise asked Ruth, feeling angry at herself for being weak at this crucial time.
But Ruth completely ignored her. They finally got to Ruth's table where the others had been watching and silently waiting to see what their queen Ruth was up to.
"Who is this?" Someone asked.
"Hmmm, is it just me? But why does she look like I've seen her somewhere before?" Another person asked.
"Hey, I'm sure you must have seen her around town. Just look at her, she is nowhere near our queen Ruth." Another person responded to the second person to which Ruth smiled and everyone nodded in agreement.
"Everyone, this was my friend, Eloise Bradbury," Ruth announced but her words only left Eloise rolling her eyes upwards.
'Was? How about you don't mention we were ever friends, your English is so bad, ridiculous.'
"Hold on, Eloise? Bradbury? Why does that name sound like I know it from somewhere?" The first person from before asked.
"Hey, there's no way you would have...wait! Eloise Bradbury? Yes! I remember now, Eloise Bradbury the actress who flopped?" Someone said and realization began to hit everyone present.
Meanwhile, Ruth held a contented smile, already liking the direction things were heading to.
