As they kept on walking the pathway, Lila was about to walk ahead of Zion and he grabbed onto her arm and she glanced at him then he pulled her back before raising her hand and she peeked at him.
Zion sighed, knowing that despite some of them being in dungeons before, they were not used to certain things and being trapped like that, was not one of them.
"Anything could be ahead of us, you may not want to wander around by yourself, especially if you don't know what's going to happen or what more we may have to face, these dungeons can get even tricker even when you just believe that you had begun understanding them," Zion said and Lila smiled a little.
"Got it, sorry," She replied then he kept on walking and her brows furrowed as she looked back at Goran, he patted her on the shoulder then decided to walk ahead of them as well, following Zion and the rest went along quietly.
As they walked, they came into an opening and just them, a creature jumped in front of them and without hesitating, Zion pulled his blade, slashing its head off and Lila jumped as it fell in front of her feet and Gorna looked at it.
"Be careful," Goran said and they all pulled their weapons and Zion closed his eyes as he held onto tightly to his sword since that was one of the only reliable things he had with him at the moment.
'This dungeon, where did I hear about it before? Am I right? Is this leading to the last floor? If that is the case, what awaits them there? I hope Rivar and the others don't get there before us, shit,' Zion thought.
"Let's go," Zion said as he rushed off and since they were in an open pathway now, leading to a different direction, he knew that they had to keep going straight.
But as they followed him, different types of monsters began attacking, most of which were following orders.
Zion and the others began surrounded in the middle of a room, outnumbered by the monsters within the dungeon.
"This is starting to piss me off," Goran said as he and Zion began attacking them as they rushed towards the others, who began fighting beasts.
"Is there a healer among us here?" Zion asked as he chopped the limbs off of a beast and the others looked at him and Zion's brows furrowed, knowing that the new ones were exhausted.
"I am a healer," A young man among them said as he stepped forward and Goran glanced at him and then smiled.
"Start healing them, I am starting to think that the bloody rumors about this place are true," Goran said and Zion glanced at him at the same time.
The young man began healing a few of them who were slightly injured, just to prepare for what may be ahead of them.
Zion and the ones who could fight looked around them, waiting to see whether anything else would attack them.
"Hey, do we keep on going straight up? There is a stair now," Goran said and Zion looked ahead of them and saw a stair.
"We have been fighting ever since we decided to keep on going straight, is this really the only way?" The one who had a slight problem with Zion before, asked.
"The other paths could be worse than this," A blonde girl responded and the guy sighed, knowing that she could be right as well and Zion sighed.
'I don't want to spend too long in this dungeon, I am pretty sure it's been more than a day so far, I have to move on and get to that city as well, it's the only way this will all go the way I want it to,' Zion thought.
"I am going to keep going straight, it's leading back up, that's for sure and who knows, maybe it's the final floor," Zion said and they looked at each other then Goran sighed.
"I don't really care who we follow as long as we get out of here, so fine, we go straight, it's the only thing leading upwards as well, there is no going back either, come on, let's get out of this place," Goran replied and his team nodded and the ones from Cyron's tram agreed with Zion as well.
At the moment, they didn't have a choice but to work together and even follow Zion since his way was actually leading in a different direction other than deeper in the dungeon or backward.
"Let's rest for a while then keep on moving, you guys need your energy as well," Zion said as he braced back against the wall.
The others sat down and decided to eat as well, since they were hungry, after they had been going at it within the dungeon for hours now and a lot of them were tired.
Everyone began eating and got their rest, including Zion, making sure that he had enough energy to fight whatever may come next and as he was relaxing, he noticed that a few of them had closed their eyes.
Zion sighed then braced his head against the wall, thinking about a few things, which he had to get done and couldn't take too long, since time was not something that waited for anyone.
A little while after, when everyone was fully rested, they got up and prepared to keep on going and Zion got up then sighed.
"Come on, let's just meet up with the other and get out of this place as soon as possible," Goran said as he looked at the rest of the members and Zion nodded since the healer had finished doing his job as well.
Zion walked ahead of them like usual and they all followed and beside him was Goran.
As they walked to the stair, Zion's brows furrowed as he began sensing something and when they came to a door, they opened it and saw that they were in a large hall with a huge door in front of them, one which had a stone carved into the middle of it and Zion's brows furrowed as they approached it.
'What the hell is this in the air? What am I sensing?' He thought and at the same time.
Cyron and the others arrived and Zion and the others looked back at them and they smiled as they approached them and everyone turned to look at the door, knowing that beyond it was the final stage.
Little did they know, beyond that point, trouble was awaiting them and a little surprise for Zion.
