As they walked to the entrance within the dungeon, the lanterns on the wall began lighting one by one and they glanced at it as they passed by, knowing that it was magic at work and within the pathway, there were vines covering parts of the ground, due to which, they had to be careful.
After a few minutes of walking, they came to a large opening which reflected a bright light and Zion glanced at it, then they came into the light and some of them left staring at what was before them.
"Woah, this place is very big and yet it's only just a few floors?" One among Nicolas's team asked and Nicolas sighed, then nodded as he looked around, as did Cyron, who was leading his team as well.
"Few floors but big enough, depending on the monsters, this may take a while and we may not be the only ones in here either," Cyron said and he glanced at Zion, who looked right at him before approaching him.
"I don't care who else is in here, we are going just going to do our jobs, not allowing anyone to get in our way either," He replied and Cyron chuckled as he looked at him.
They looked around the area which they were in and it was spacious and filled with broken down walls as well as other things, just like a ruined place should be.
There was a door ahead of them and a large hall filled with pillars and broken rocks as well as other things and some of the vines there were moving.
"How good are you guys with incest?" Zion asked and some of them looked at him.
"What exactly do you mean by that, Zion?" Rivar asked as he looked at him and Zion smiled.
'Because you might meet giant ones in dungeons, see, dungeons can be very tricky at times, you can ask Cyron if you don't believe me, each floor is different and there is only way door leading to the other in most, almost all the time, that's why you have to be careful and not get tricked," He responded and Rivar's brows furrowed.
At the same time, one of the members of Nicolas's group stepped on something and it began glowing and they looked at him.
"Move," Nicolas said and when he moved a bunch of magical circles appeared underneath the pillars which looked as if they began melting and Nicola's brows furrowed.
"What the hell is this?" Nicolas asked as large spiders, which were mixed with black and a purple stripe came rushing into the room and some of them gasped then Zion smirked and he pulled out his sword from its scabbard.
The creatures came charging at them with the intention of killing them and everyone attacked, defending themselves and each other.
"Be careful, these are not ordinary spiders," Nicolas said.
"They are poisonous, it's not normal posion either," Zion replied.
"Do not get caught in their web, it will be hell to get you back out," Cyron said as Zion slashed one of the spider's legs off and the creature kept a slight screeching sound and Zion smirked.
"This dungeon might be more fun than I thought," He said and it was about to attack him once again.
Zion dodged it and another spider came in his way, he jumped up in the air and then slashed it across its head before it could spew any web and its blood went splattering on the ground.
"You seem to know to fight good enough," Cyron said and Zion scoffed.
"Thanks," He replied and Cyron chuckled as they kept on defeating the creatures.
"They won't stop, we have to defeat the big one," Cyron said and before he could move another muscle, the others from the teams began attacking the big one.
They didn't want to waste too much of their energy, because this was only the start of the dungeon and they couldn't afford to be put down by it.
After they constantly attacked the big one, Zion cut it between them and slashed three of its legs, causing it to fall to the ground.
Cyron pierced it through its head and Zion scoffed then they looked at the door.
'This first part has been pretty each so far, but I have a feeling this wasn't all, the second part, if what that boy said is true, the first part was supposed to be easy to complete, what's going to happen next? Has there been changes to this?' He thought as his eyes narrowed.
"Then, shall we move to the second?" Nicolas asked and Cyron glanced at him then he sighed.
"Well, we can't stay here, we may not know what's behind that door but we have no choice but to keep going forward," He responded and Nicolas nodded in agreement with him.
Some of them among the two teams, watched the dead spiders on the ground, finding it quite gross since a few were not used to certain things and when Zion saw their reaction he scoffed and Cyron chuckled.
"Get used to it guys, this is not even the start, well, that's how I feel right now at least," Cyron said.
"How can anyone ever get used to this? This is disgusting, did I make a wrong choice by coming here?" A young man with short brown hair, who was slim and average height with fair skin, asked and Cyron glanced at him.
"We will see that the more we go into this dungeon, whether or not it was a mistake to come here, you might as well use the opportunity and test your limits in here, depends on what you bump into, especially if you want to survive, we still don't know what lays ahead," Zion responded and Cyron scoffed.
"He is right, show some guts at least, this is only the beginning, we have a bit more to go, the faster we get out the better, then let's get going, we don't have too much time to waste," Cyron said.
"Also, we are still on the challenge," Cyron added and Zion glanced at him then nodded and Nicolas opened the next door.
Just then the ground rumbled as they entered the next area and parts of it began opening up, sending Zion and a few others down, while sending the rest of the others to another part of the second stage of the dungeon.
