Zion and Rivar went to the guy who hired them, office to talk to him about the job, including the fact that they got their cards so that there wouldn't be any unnecessary problems.
Upon arriving at his office within the guild, they knocked on the door but got no answer and just when they were about to leave, the door opened and the young assistant came out.
"You guys are here," He said with a gentle smile on his face and they looked at him.
"Yeah, is your boss in now?" Rivar asked and the young man exhaled deeply.
"Not right now, he is currently out taking care of a few business, why? Is something wrong?" He asked and Rivar smiled.
"No, we just wanted to talk to him concerning the job," Rivar responded.
"I see, then that's something I can handle for now, both of you can come in, we will talk," He said as he moved aside and both of them went into the office then he locked the door.
They sat down on the couch and he sat opposite them then took out his notebook and began writing in it.
"So what would you guys like to talk about? Do you want your payment to be increased or anything like that?" He asked.
"No, the pay is good enough, that will last a very long time, right, Zion?" Rivar asked.
Zion glanced at him then scoffed before nodding and Rivar sighed.
"All right, if none of that is the reason then you guys can go ahead and talk, I am listening and don't worry, I will tell him, after all, he is the one that wanted this, ugh," He responded.
"We got our cards from the guild, they are official so now there shouldn't be any sort of problem when that is concerned, we can leave when he wants us to," Zion said and the young man smiled at them.
"Really? You guys got your card already?" He asked with a tad bit of excitement.
"Yeah, in fact, the guild is where we are coming back from, though, among the two of us, Zion's job may be the hardest," Rivar responded and the boy chucked.
"I can see that, well this is good news for the boss, he is going to be pleased to hear this," He said.
"Pleased to hear what exactly?" Someone asked.
The young boy jumped then looked at the door and saw that his boss had just entered and he sighed in relief.
"Well, these two got their cards from the guilds, I thought you might be pleased to hear that," He responded and his boss smiled as he approached them.
"That is indeed good news, something to make my day a little better, so, I take it you chose the hunter type huh?" He asked as he looked at Zion, who nodded and the man smiled.
"And you adventurer, a nice combo, this dungeon is a bit of a problem, will you guys be ready to leave soon as in today?" He asked and they exchanged glances.
"I don't mind, I have nothing to do around here anyway, I think starting the dungeon as soon as possible will be good," Zion responded as he looked at his right arm and the guy smiled at him.
"You seem to not mind danger, but if you guys are ready then you can meet up with the team at six at the front gate of the city, I will meet you there as well, how about that?" He asked and Rivar smiled at him before sighing.
"Sounds good enough to me, he is right we should get going with this job," Rivar responded and the guy chuckled.
"If you guys finish it faster, your pay will be more than it is now, you will get a bonus, you seem like hard workers you should at least be rewarded, well if you are... Whatever, now since you agreed, you can start packing," He said and Zion's eyes narrowed then he scoffed.
"Yeah, you are right, also according to our deal, I hope you remember it well and honor it because I am not the type to take anyone's nonsense, I don't care who you may be either," Zion replied as he stood up and the guy smiled as he looked at him.
"I think by now and from what I have seen so far, I know that, I heard you made a challenge at the guild this morning, are you sure you are not going to back out from it? Those people are no ordinary people Zion," He said and Zion scoffed.
"I know and it's one of the reasons why I didn't back out, after all this dungeon can help you make a name for yourself, I have no intention of backing out of this now," He replied and the guy sighed.
"I get it, a lot of brave people won't miss the opportunity either if they were in your space, so I understand, but try not to get into any problem with them, claim what's yours," He said.
"I will, don't worry, this is going to be fun, well, we will go get opur things ready and so on and we will meet you at the front gate," Zion replied and the guy nodded with a smile, then they left his office, heading to go do what they needed to, in the meantime.
Later that day, in a hall where you could hardly see anything due to the dim light, a guy approached another, who was standing by a window, looking down at something, glanced at the other.
"I heard that there was something interesting happening at the guild you went to this morning," The person said and the one who had offered Zion the job to join them in the dungeon and the one who accepted his challenge smiled before bowing his head.
"We were challenged by a young man, to see who would get the most out of the dungeon first, despite knowing who you are, he did that, interesting, I would day," He responded and the guy glanced at him.
"Interesting huh? Well, it's a good thing you accepted the challenge, however, the outcome may be, which I think will be in our favor, bring him here, let me see for himself after that, let me see who is so brave," The guy said.
"As you wish, I will bring him here once it's done," He replied then left and the guy who issued the job, eyes narrowed and at the same time, Zion and Rivar left their apartment to go to the front gate.
