As they followed the girl to the test room, she looked at them, then smiled and Zion glanced at her then at his hand, wondering what the test would be like and if it would actually be simple.
"This is both of you guy's first time right?" She asked and they looked at her.
"Yeah, it is," Rivar responded.
"I see, then I will give you the necessary information, the ones that are usually given, the test will actually be quite simple for those who want to become adventurers, we will just test your current abilities, meaning their level, we do that using an object that can analyze, so you won't have to worry, there is one catch though," She said and Rivar glanced at her.
"What might that be?" Rivar asked.
"You need extreme focus in order for the magical object to not judge you wrong, after all, everything here depends on what you can do and may be able to do," She responded with a gentle smile on her face and Rivar sighed then glanced at his hand.
"So that's what it depends, what you can and cannot do, huh?" Rivar mumbled and Zion glanced at him then his eyes narrowed.
"If you are not careful, it can give you lower statistics or higher, it is quite tricky," The girl said.
"That's why to make sure no mistakes are made, focus on one point, think of something that will keep you calm and allow your energy to flow properly, then you won't have a problem nor would the object and I think everything that that sort of test is private, can only be seen by the one taking the test, for their own good, right?" Zion asked.
After hearing the way he spoke, the girl glanced at him and her brows furrowed then she nodded and Rivar glanced at him.
"Yeah, you are right, each test is private, your card will be given to you by the object as will your badge, well not everyone gets the badge, most people just ignore it because that's not what's needed," She responded.
"I see, thank you for telling us what we need to know, this will help us during the test, also is there anything else that we may need to know?" Rivar asked as they were nearing the test area.
"If you guys get what you want here then we will officially register you and after that, you can receive many different types of things, I will give you the rest of the information, after the test, we are here," She said as they arrived at a section where there were many doors before them, each with different markings.
Rivar and Zion looked at the different doors and there were guards placed before them as well and Rivar's brows furrowed then the receptionist smiled.
"Are you guys confused?" She asked.
"Yeah, maybe just a little bit, what's with all of the doors?" Rivar asked and she sighed.
"Well, these doors are for different types of tests, after all, there are many different jobs that one can do, so most require different tests, and each has different capabilities, so, now you know, do you understand?" She asked.
"Yeah, we understand, quite clearly, now, which one of these do we have to go in?" Rivar asked and the girl went through the papers that she had to take care of and she looked at two different doors.
"You guys will be tested separately, one a hunter and one and adventurer," She responded and Rivar glanced at Zion, who glanced at him, then he sighed.
"You still chose to be a hunter? Are you really losing it, Zion?" He asked and Zion jumped as did the girl.
"It's what I can do and earn, in one day some hunter can earn far more than an adventurer, besides, it's not a big deal, later on, if you choose to, you can switch jobs, am I right, or not?" Zion asked as he looked at the receptionist, who stared at them.
The girl exhaled deeply then nodded, yes and Zion shrugged and Rivar's brows twitched, feeling a bit irritated then he exhaled deeply, knowing that Zion wouldn't change his mind and that it would be useless talking to him.
"You are really hard-headed at times, aren't you?" Rivar asked and Zion scoffed.
"Maybe or maybe not but I know what I need to do, what needs to be done, Rivar, this is my way of doing it, I don't want to be stuck, I will make sure that I am able to do what I want to, you can call me hard headed or any other thing, I won't mind," He responded and Rivar exhaled deeply then patted Zion on his shoulder.
"That would be a waste of time as well, don't worry, I won't call you more names," He said and Zion scoffed and then patted him on his shoulder.
"Well, are you guys ready to start the test or do you want to wait a bit longer?" She asked and they looked at each other then Zion sighed.
'This is my only choice as of now, the one path that I see clear ahead of me, the one that can give me what I want, I am going to chane what I walked on, even if I change more of myself in the process of it all,' Zion thought as his eyes narrowed.
"Well, we should get going, we don't have all day here, plus we have a job to do, don't forget the dungein awaits us in that place," Zion said as he turned towards his door and RIvar sighed.
"The place of monsters as well, don't worry, even if I want to, I won't be able to forget it so easy, let's just get this over with and head on back," He replied and the girl chuckled then she coughed.
"All right, you may each enter now, you test awaits you, I wish you both good luck," She said then they thanked her and she smiled at them as they opened their doors.
"Good luck," Zion said then his door closed behind him, as did Rivar's and Zion looked at the large room that he was in and his eyes narrowed.
