A little while after, Zion had left the guild, he went to a brown building on the second main street within the city, where his apartment was and upon going up to the third floor, he arrived at his apartment.
They boy entered and saw that the lights were already on and he sighed, then went to the living room and saw that Rivar was sleeping on the couch and his brows furrowed, when he saw how messy the place was, with short on the ground and a plate and glass on the table with paper wraps.
"Give me one reason not to kick you out of the balcony," He said and at the same time, Rivar sat up on the couch, then he wiped his eyes and looked up at Zion, who was staring down at him and he flinched.
"If you want me to knock a few things in your head for you, all you have to do is tell me Rivar, I will be more than happy to do it," He said as he lifted his right hand up and a shadow formed over his eyes.
"Please stop it, I am not going to mess up the place again, I forgot to clean up and I was tired as well, I won't let it happen again," He replied and Zion scoffed.
"Good, I hope you stick to your word as well, now did you order dinner?" Zion asked.
"Yeah, I did, for both of us, how did it go for you at the guild?" Rivar asked as Zion went into the kitchen to get his dinner.
"It went well, better than expected but the full process is not finished as yet, how about yours?" He asked and Rivar smiled as Zion exited the kitchen with his dinner, then sat down on a couch.
"I passed, I have to collect my card tomorrow morning at the guild, I will officially be an adventurer," He responded.
"Good, your hard work is going to pay off, you better brace yourself," Zion said and Rivar nodded.
"Oh, about the dungeon that we will be going to, it will be soon, do you think that you will be able to get your card tomorrow or not?" Rivar asked as Zion ate his food.
"You don't think there will be a problem, do you?" Rivar asked.
"No, there won't be, relax I will get it, it's a good thing to have these things before going into a dungeon," He responded and Rivar nodded, pleased to hear Zion say that.
Due to their own problems, the boys shared one apartment as well as the rent, which was split since the two started living in the same place, because when Zion had first come to the city, he had a slightly hard time getting an apartment.
Since Rivar was having money issues, after they met and had become friends, the two decided to help each other out by sharing an apartment and splitting the rent so they wouldn't have to worry about that, making things slightly easier for them.
When Zion finished eating he got up then sighed and Rivar wished him good night, since he was tired and wanted to rest then he went to his room.
Zion washed his dished then went to freshen up in his room and when he was finished, he got into bed then sighed, while looking up at the ceiling.
Just then, he began remembering flames, engulfing something and someone coughed up blood and he flinched then his brows furrowed and he clenched his right as he gritted his teeth.
'I won't ever forget any of it, not from back then or from that time, I will not,' He thought then closed his eyes, with his thoughts wondering and after a few minutes of trying, he fell asleep.
The next morning, when Zion woke up, he got out of his bed, looked at his right arm before moving it in a circular motion then looked at the time and he exhaled deeply.
'If I want to get that to happen, I am going to have to push myself further,' He thought.
"It's time for my exercise," He said then left the room and noticed that Rivar was still asleep and he scoffed then left his apartment.
A little while, after leaving his apartment, Zion went to the woods, just beside the city and his eyes narrowed when he entered, knowing that there were dangerous beasts in some parts and decided to train right there, since he had a lot more to improve on.
Zion went into the woods and he exhaled deeply as he focused on his surroundings then he began his training, using trees and any other thing that was there as his opponent, to improve his strength in a natural way.
As Zion was training he exhaled deeply as his chest began feeling tight and he gritted his teeth then looked at his right arm.
'The energy within my body is not flowing properly, not since that day, this was not supposed to happen, it's going to hinder me for a while and how I do things, I have to fix this, I'm going to use this dungeon to start making my name, similar to what I did back then, my body was too small to handle my abilities then, now I have to get my abilities back, I have to get stronger, it's time to make my move,' He thought.
ion punched the tree, causing a small part of it to cave in and his eyes narrowed as he looked at it and kept on training.
Later that morning, when Zion had finished training he returned home then ate breakfast and freshened up, after which he and Rivar left to go to the guild to get their cards, since they didn't want to be late or wait in any sort of long lines.
When they arrived at the guild, Zion noticed that there were a few people looking as though they were from a royal army there, his brows furrowed, wondering what they were doing there and he sighed as they approached the guild and one of them among the knights, glanced at Zion as he passed by them and Zion's eyes narrowed.
