Chapter 8 - To make

Half of the guild members that were there, didn't expect to see one who was considered averagely strong, being put down by someone who couldn't even be considered a newbie as yet, since he didn't even have any form of identification.

Some people looked at Zion surprised, since they did not expect that and Zion's eyes narrowed as he felt their stares and his brows furrowed then Rivar looked around and sighed.

The receptionist glanced at Zion, who was walking towards the entrance of the guild, then at the young man in the street.

Zion exited the guild and a few people came to the door, to see what was going to happen and Zion looked at the guy, who glanced at him and Rivar approached him.

"Oh my, don't tell me, you weren't on your guard once again?" Zion asked and the guy gritted his teeth in irritation and some of the others, that were present there at the time, wanted to laugh but held back, since they knew that may cause more problems.

"What the hell do you think of yourself, huh?" The guy asked as he got back up on his feet.

The guy scoffed as he looked at Zion, who knew that the young man was looking down at him as well, just from the way he was looking at him and Zion did not like that, one bit.

"Zion, let it go now," Rivar said and Zion glanced at him and Rivar's brows furrowed.

Rivar appreciated that Zion was helping him but didn't want Zion to get into trouble and lose their chance to get more from the guild, including their chance to get their official titles.

"Hey, don't look at me like that, it's irritating, stop looking down on other people so often and take a moment to look at yourself, if you keep this up, it will be your downfall, one day, you might mess with the wrong person, quit now, just leave," Zion said as he turned his back towards the guy, who gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

"You..." He said and Zion glanced back at him, with his eyes narrowed as he was about to go back inside of the guild and the guy flinched when he looked at him, then his brows furrowed.

"Hey, that is enough, let's just go from here before something happens in which we will all regret later on," One of the guy's friends said and he sighed.

"This is not over, you better remember, I will see you again, bastard," He said and Zion looked away from him and he left with his friends.

'Damn it,' Zion thought then Rivar approached him and Zion looked at the people within the guild, who were looking at him and many smiled at him and his brows furrowed.

"Let's go aside," Zion said and he went side with Rivar, whilt those who were spectating within the guild, went back to doing what they were and Zion sighed.

"I am sorry about that, Zion, you had to get involved because of me," Rivar said as he lowered his head, gnashed his teeth and Zion saw and then scoffed.

"Forget it, there is no need to apologize, but this also shows that you need to get stronger, Rivar, you can't stay like this, no matter what, you have to push yourself, remember the decision you made earlier," Zion replied and Rivar glanced at him then his brows furrowed.

"I remember and I intend to stick to my word as well, I will work to get stronger as well," He said and Zion nodded then pointed to the receptionist he went to earlier.

"She is the one that's handling the paperwork and so on, it's time to make your choice, we have to go and take the test directly after, they are not giving us any chance to prepare," Zion said and Rivar glanced at the receptionist then sighed.

"I get it, then, shall we go ahead and make our choices at once or do we have to wait longer?" Rivar asked and Zion looked at the time.

"We can go in a few minutes, that's all it will take her to complete it, these things can become quite complicated, depending on your age and so on, they have to know so much about you, it's irritating," He responded and Rivar chuckled.

"Yeah, I understand, I know how irritating it can be, sometimes it's just like a job interview, stupid, me, well it is one, sometimes they even watch where you come from," He said and Zion scoffed as Rivar exhaled deeply and a few people approached them.

Zion looked at them and realized that they were adventurers due to the badge they were wearing and his brows furrowed, wondering why they would be coming to them, since none of them had done that before, other than when they used to bump into each other outside.

"Do you think we are going to get into more trouble this time?" Rivar asked and Zion sighed.

"I don't know but we will see, let them come and see what they want," He responded and Rivar exhaled deeply,

"You are really something else, aren't you? At times at least show certain concern," Rivar said and Zion scoffed.

"That's not for me, I only show that when certain things are concerned, relax and let's see," He replied and Rivar nodded then the few adventurers came to them.

"Hey," The leader among them said.

"Hey," Rivar replied and he looked at Zion, who just smiled a little and waved at them.

A slightly nervous look appeared on one of their faces, since he found Zion, sort of scary but the others just ignored him.

"You guys are the ones that stood up to them, that was nice to watch, that, I have to say, are you here to register?" The leader of the group asked.

"Yeah, we are," Zion responded and the leader smiled as he looked at them.

"Then, maybe we can work together sometimes, we are currently recruiting," The leader said and at the same time, the receptionist called out to them.

"We have to go take the tests now," Zion replied.

"Then, go ahead, we will be right here in the lounge for lunch, if you guys are finished by then, you can join us, we will talk," The leader said and Zion glanced at him.

"All right, fine, we will talk then, let's go," Zion replied as he walked away with Rivar, following the receptionist to go take the test.
