A boy could be seen moving through the corridor, dressed in School uniform. Black Flowing coat with red color on collar and golden border.
A circular monogram could be seen using white, purple, and red colors; in it the words, 'Where darkness meets Destiny' were writtem.
Its borders were adorned with intricate patterns of golden color, symbolizing their status as demons.
Below it, he wore a white linen shirt that matched his hair color. At bottom he wore black pants and shoes.
He stopped before a room with a board hanging outside it with, 'A' written over it. Entering it, he saw there were benches lined up one after another.
Both sides had two seats each, while in the middle were three seats; he saw most of the seats were already occupied. Demons with the same species and status were sitting together.
He ignored everything and looked for an empty spot; he didn't like attention much. The term 'Attention Avoider' fits him quite well.
It didn't take him much time to find the perfect spot, which was neither in front nor back. He approached one of the side desks, which had two seats.
He sat on that spot closer to the window; after sitting there, he opened the window and started looking at what was happening outside.
His eyes fell on the garden beside him. It was beautiful, filled with various trees covered in colorful leaves. It reminded him of his birthplace.
Now, he regretted not exploring Duskcronwed City properly; he heard the noise and shifted his eyes toward the class again.
Noticing almost all the students had appeared and taken their seats, they were talking with each other. After some time, the class was full; there was only one seat empty, which was beside him.
A woman appeared wearing a long flowing robe of emerald color, filled with intricate serpentine patterns embroidered with thread that gleamed like precious gemstones.
She had long blonde hair that reached her back; her eyes were shining yellow with slitted pupils that were hypnotic.
Covering them were dark eyeglasses; she carried a thick book with her as she entered the classroom.
All students stood up and greeted her; she smiled and asked them to take their seats.
"I am Seraphina Coiledviper; I will teach you about History and Geography. Now, I would like you all to introduce yourselves one by one." A sweet voice rang inside everyone's ears.
She looked toward the class; even her simple gaze sent shivers down everyone's spine. It was as if they were all mice before an anaconda; there was no chance for them to even dare and lift their head before her.
Her presence confused the class; multiple students stood together in the front and back rows.
They looked at each other's faces in confusion, unsure who would start.
A smile appeared on the teacher's face as she set her glass and pointed at the student on the first bench on the right side.
"You, girl with red hairs. Start with the introduction, rest please sit down and wait for your turn."
Everyone followed her command and sat; the girl stood up and introduced herself. Others behind her followed her lead and introduced themselves one by one.
She looked at each of them as if noting everything inside her head about them. It was then someone knocked on the open door.
This surprised everyone; the boy who had just stood up to introduce himself looked at the door. Others also turned their head toward the door.
A boy appeared there with silver hair and black eyes, wearing a uniform like others, but he had his sleeves folded and carrying the coat on his shoulders with his right hand.
He looked to be half asleep as he stood there.
The madam looked at the boy and said, "Come in." she looked at him with a severe expression.
Others were scared when they saw her like that; they thought this guy was gone. However, to everyone's surprise, there was no expression on his face as he looked at the class looking for a seat.
He finally saw one empty seat and was about to go there when the teacher asked, "Can I know why are you late for the class?"
The boy looked at her, rubbing his eyes and opening them wide to see clearly. He looked at her, and his bent posture suddenly became straight.
"Oh Shit," escaped his lips as he looked at her. Looking at him, the class burst out into laughter for a moment, but next second, they held their mouths as they looked at the serious expression of the teacher.
"I asked you a question," she raised her voice, her hair wiggled as if it had come alive.
The boy didn't know how to respond; he was nervous. "Ma'am, I had a fever last night and could not sleep properly. In morning, I got late because of it."
She looked at his face, guessing if he was telling the truth. She could not confirm it; this boy was good at masking his emotions. he also appeared confident.
She was not sure, but she was not in the mood to let him go for easy; her eyes met him again, making goosebumps appear all over the boy's body.
Another thing that bothered her was the presence of this boy; she could tell from one look of his silver hair and light brown skin he was a mix-blood.
From his smell, she could guess he was half-Dark Elf; Chances were he came from a noble clan. This severely limited her from going fully hard against him; after all their families were in familiar terms.
"Why are you not wearing your uniform properly?" she asked as she looked at how he was dressed.
"I was in a hurry; I was just in the middle of wearing them." He said as he wore the coat, he looked at her with a smile and showed a thumbs up as if everything was alright,
The more she talked with him, the more he irritated her. "Go and take your seat."
With a bright smile he went to the only seat that was empty, he was just about to sit when he heard her, "You are not allowed to sit for ten minutes, so next time you remember to come in time."
