Scarlet left school around few minutes past 4 after watching Melanie leave with a smile of bonding that they were back together again. She took the other road but she didn't head home immediately. She tried to find her way around places where there are bookshops, places where they sell diaries similar to hers. As a matter of fact, she was looking for the exact same place where her father must have gotten the diary for her.
She turned on the location on her phone and typed on the broken screen, "Bookstores" and it gave her a list of places closer to where she was. She just wished she wouldn't come across her mother in the process of finding.
After minutes of walking, she got to the first one closer to her and pushed the door open. Walking inside, she saw a woman just at the left corner, sitting and watching something from a phone which she placed to stand while having an earpiece on. It seems she didn't notice her presence.
