Third person POV
Along the way, as the sun sets, Lloyd asked Jan how was Gretchel, his legitimate, younger half-sister.
"She's fine, but not enjoying the high life," answered Jan back honestly.
"What do you mean by that?" Lloyd asked.
"Well," Jan replied, "she was not regarded as important unlike Hertzel-sama, and she once expressed to me privately that she doesn't want to attend Langton Royal Academy."
"Huh? Why?"
"She doesn't want to mingle with students of noble backgrounds, and plus, she didn't like the environment there."
"I see."
"Yeah, and she also planned to escape the house as well."
Lloyd was stunned. "What? Really?"
"Yes," Jan responded, "and she asked me to take her somewhere far away when that time comes."
"Okay then, that was a noble plan for her."
As Lloyd and Jan kept on chatting in the front, Sati and Xerxes are sitting at the back a bit tired, but have some energy to have a chat.
"Lloyd-sama had transformed our lives, Sati," Xerxes said to Sati, before yawning.
"Yeah, and he also transformed our lifestyle, too," replied Sati.
Xerxes then transformed into his wolf form and takes a nap on the floor.
"Just wake me up when we arrived back at Wooda," Xerxes told Sati, before going to sleep.
"Yeah, sure," Sati responded.
Back at the front, Lloyd expressed to Jan how he wished to stay at Baleville for a bit longer but couldn't because he would be caught by the authorities for alleged espionage.
"Yeah, I wished we could spend time together a bit," Jan agreed with him.
After that, Lloyd scoots closer to Jan and said, "Hey, I'm going to tell you something."
"Okay, sure," Jan replied. "What is it?"
"But if you keep this as a secret between you and me, okay?" Lloyd added a condition.
"With my life, yes," Jan responded.
Then, Lloyd took a deep breath and revealed that he became a leader of Wooda.
This surprises Jan a lot. "What? Leader? That Wooda?"
"Yes, just because Sati-san wants me to be the leader of his tribe," Lloyd replied back, "after he and his partner saved me from death, which they're the ones who was responsible."
"Woah, what?" responded Jan back while glancing at Lloyd and back at the road. "They killed you?"
"Yeah, but they no longer hunt humans anymore."
"Oh, that's why. So, how was it?"
"A bit complicated, but very manageable."
"I see. That must've been tough, isn't?"
"Yes, and our development is fast."
"Wow, it's only a few months and that tribe had become technologically advanced?"
"Yes, and first, it's actually a collection of tribes who unites with mine. And secondly, I gave them some autonomy over their jurisdictions."
"Wow, that seems fair, for a new united nation like that."
"Yeah, and I treated them equally, of course."
"Nice."
"Also, I thought I would end up meeting my late mother. But luckily, I didn't."
"You're one lucky kid out there."
After that, as night falls, Lloyd looked at the sky, thinking about all the things his late mother had taught him in the past prior to her death. He cherished those life lessons in his heart, hoping that it would last a lifetime. Later on, at 6, they arrived at the wooden walls of Lewole, and Jan stopped the carriage just in front of the main gate.
