Third person POV
1 and a half months had passed, and everything was, again, transformed. Bricks, concrete, and roof tiles were introduced by Lloyd, who had learned how to make them from scratch using natural materials common in the lowlands. As a result, under Lloyd's instructions, most of the one-storey, wooden houses were either replaced or obscured by slightly bigger brick ones. Also, roads are now paved, but lamp posts weren't introduced yet, so they still used burning torches, campfires, and bonfires. Then, when there is a surplus of goods and services, the first small shops and marketplaces are being established. At the same time, multiple floors, glass windows, and staircases are also introduced by the illegitimate, former noble, leading to normal housing and tenement-style housing, albeit mostly 2 storeys high. Their owners learned how to do business and manage them thanks to Lloyd's lectures on business.
Also at the same time, Lloyd's house was now being upgraded into a small manor-style house made of brick and concrete complete with tile roofing. Lloyd recycled the wooden planks as extra firewood and wood material for a desk. But, he just added an extra door to make a front double door. In his floor plan, he included a kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, a cellar storage, and a living room, as well as a lobby in the front, in addition to a library and a personal office. He also advocated for plumbing in every house, too, by installing aqueducts and even some simple water filtration stations between rivers. He had been reading books from the small trunk almost every day. Simultaneously, Lloyd also added more fair rules to the oral code of conduct.
But, as Lloyd and his subordinates were digging under the house for the cellar, Sati dug one part, only for his shovel to feel something hollow behind it. Upon seeing that, he dug it out, only to stumble that it wasn't just some small, hollow hole, but instead, a long tunnel leading to somewhere. Seeing how dark and long the tunnel was, Sati went to Lloyd and reported that to him.
"A tunnel?" Lloyd asked him back.
"Yes, and it seems to be a long one," Sati replied.
"I see. Where is it?"
Sati then lead him to that part of the cellar.
Upon arriving there, Lloyd takes a good look of it, before lighting the entrance with his fire torch.
"So, what did you see, master?" Sati asked him.
But one fire torch wasn't enough to light the entire tunnel.
So, he eventually turned to Sati. "Send out an expeditionary force to scout the entire cave."
"Uh, right, sir," Sati responded, before going off to assemble an expeditionary force to explore the tunnel cave.
Later, the expeditionary force, consisted of Marsa, Zeke, and two other Undead animals, tied a rope on their waists and went deeper into the tunnel with fire torches as lighting. Lloyd and Xerxes are observing the entire operation. Now walking through the tunnel, they saw nothing special about it until, when they reached the end, they saw a wooden door that appeared to be locked. And it wasn't just locked with a lock and key, but was locked and sealed with magic that no one knows. They then attempted to open it, but to no avail, due to it being sealed with magic.
Since none of his friends knew basic magic, Zeke decided to send his sister back to Lloyd to report this to him.
So, he ordered her to run back to Lloyd and reported to him about that door.
Marsa did so, and she untied her rope and ran back to the entrance to report this to Lloyd.
Arriving there, Marsa went to Lloyd. "Lloyd-sama, we just discovered a door that cannot be opened."
"What? Really?" asked Lloyd back.
Marsa then took Lloyd's hand and dragged him into the tunnel to the door, causing Laura and Xerxes to go after them.
Upon arriving at the door, Lloyd saw that and was marveled by the looks of it.
