Third person POV
Later, in the afternoon after work, Lloyd and Sati are at one of the capital's two barracks. Lloyd's sword lessons had begun.
"Fighting is complex, so you must learn the basics," Sati started.
Lloyd then nodded in agreement. He was using one of the Sati's swords since he didn't have one yet. But, he'll craft his own in the future.
As a first lesson, Sati drew out his Undead sword and pointed it at a scarecrow with a fighting stance as Lloyd observes.
Zeke and Xerxes are watching this from the doorway of the barrack's courtyard, too.
"This is one of the simplest stances when in combat," Sati said to the young human.
He then returned to his normal position. "Now you try, master." \
Lloyd did so, and did that combat stance.
But Sati spotted some inconsistencies in his stance.
He then checked those inconsistencies and made some minor readjustments to Lloyd's position.
"Did I get it wrong?" Lloyd asked him about it.
After he made those readjustments, Sati responded, "No, not at all. Some of your positions are a bit off."
Lloyd gets it and tries again.
After that, Sati showed him how to react when fighting an enemy, which was simple, straightforward, and was by step-by-step. In turn, Lloyd did so, drew out his weapon, and attacked the scarecrow with it. His attack is a bit crooked.
Later, at 5, Sati became his opponent, and he and Lloyd used wooden swords in their mock battle. They were both clashed with one another.
"If you stand like that," Sati said to him regarding Lloyd's standing position, "you'll be pinned down."
Lloyd then looked at his stance, then at Sati. "Right."
He then tried to push Sati out, but Sati was too strong so Lloyd was pushed out.
At this point, Sati realized that Lloyd needs to train more physically.
"I think you need to train for your strength, master," he suggested.
Lloyd then stand up and dusts his clothes. "Yeah, you're right. Let's do that tomorrow morning."
"Okay then."
And so, they left the courtyard and went to the administrative house to return the weapons in Sati's arsenal.
Zeke and Xerxes then went to the main administrative house shortly after them.
