Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 – Laura, a Waifu

Third person POV

Later, at the administrative house, Lloyd and his group opened the front door.

  "We're home," Lloyd greeted.

But then, Laura, dressed in a maid's outfit, was in front of her.

  "Welcome back, master," she greeted.

When they looked at her, Lloyd was stunned to see her in a maid's outfit. "What in the...?"

Then, Zeke came. "Oh, welcome back, master."

Lloyd and the others looked at him.

"Why is she like that?" Lloyd asked him.

"Well, you see," Zeke responded back with an explanation, "she's now a head maid of this house."

  "Woah, what?" Sati commented.

"Who assigned her to be that?" Hale asked.

  "Herself," Zeke answered back.

  "Wow." Xerxes was amazed.

And then, Laura smiled. "That's right. Anyhow, dinner is ready."

"Oh, you cooked dinner?" Sati asked.

"Yes, let's go to the dining room, shall we?"

And so, they all head to the dining room to eat dinner.

Shortly thereafter, at the dining room, Lloyd and his group are very amazed at Laura's cooking, which looks delicious and is very warm.

"Woah, is that mashed potatoes?" Lloyd pointed at a bowl of mashed potatoes.

"Yup, and I also cooked roasted mutton for tonight," Laura responded.

  "Oh..."

They all then sat down and do a prayer gesture. "Thanks for the food."

After that, they all grabbed their utensils and started eating.

"Wow, these mashed potatoes are so good." Lloyd savored on the mashed potatoes.

"I put some salt in it," Laura said.

  "Oh, that's why," Hale responded.

After that, Sati revealed to Zeke about what had happened at the forests, including Lloyd's newly discovered magic. Zeke was shocked to hear that, but he was also happy that his leader had finally discovered his true magic. The reason why is that since Lloyd was a young boy, Zeke had been monitoring his life from the shadows. At that time, Zeke was a teenager who loves to go in and out of Langton and other kingdoms as a spy.

Zeke then cleared his throat. "I guessed you had unlocked your magic, master. It's been so long."

Lloyd was surprised to hear the last part, so he looked at him. "What do you mean that?"

"I had been monitoring your life ever since you're a kid," Zeke revealed.

  "What?"

"Did you go into his kingdom?" Sati asked.

"Yup, back then, I loved going in and out of countries like his when I was a teenager," Zeke responded happily.

At that point, Lloyd realized that he had someone who had been spying on him all along.

"Then, how about the time I was banished?" Lloyd asked a question.

"Yes, that one, too," Zeke replied.

Lloyd was then amazed at his obscurity. "Woah..."

  "Yup." Zeke then resumed eating.

Then, Lloyd took a deep breath. "That was necromancy."

This shocks Laura while Zeke was amazed and impressed.

  "Necromancy?"

  "That's amazing."

"Yeah, and he even bring my dead comrade back to life and death," Xerxes responded back.

"What? How?" Laura demanded an explanation in a non-aggressive way.

"I just moved my hand and that happened without me knowing it," Lloyd replied back.

Then, Zeke said to him, "I'll help you with that."

Lloyd then glanced at him. "Oh, you had an ability to bring someone, right?"

Zeke then nodded. "Yes."

"I see. Sure. How's your grandpa?"

"Oh, Zane? He's monitoring the borders."

Lloyd knows Zane's name from Zeke shortly after exiting the End Dimension.

"Oh, did he eat for the whole day?" Lloyd asked.

"Yes, but mostly roasted deer meat," Zeke replied.

"Okay, that might be his favorite."

"Yeah, that was one of his favorites, alongside chicken and sheep."

At that point, Lloyd thought, "Strange..."

He then resumed eating.

Later after dinner, while Laura and Hale were washing the dishes using a homemade soap, Lloyd was in his room laying on his bed, which was made by him with wood. He had just finished studying and reading for the night.

"Wow, that necromancy was so cool," he thought. "I wished I could master that, too."

He then sighed and placed his hands behind his head. "But that'll take some time."
