Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - Preparation for the Diplomatic Visit

Third person POV

Later, at night, after his night routine and dinner, Lloyd was laying on his bed thinking about how to prepare his capital for Jasiel's visit two days from now. At this point, he landed in the field of diplomacy. At first, he thought it would be easy as pie, but since Jasiel wanted to visit his country personally, it became very tricky and difficult. So, he got up and went to his desk to draw out a plan of preparation for that occasion using a blueprint-sized, vintage paper and a charcoal pencil. He includes things like manners and rules of etiquette. He also includes decorations for the diplomatic occasion. Then, after some errors and setbacks, Lloyd finished making his master plan and went to bed at 10 in the evening.

The next morning, after his morning routine, he gathered his subordinates and had a meeting with them in the house's meeting room, revealing to them his plan for Jasiel's diplomatic visit. The plan was to give Jasiel a warm welcome, and that they should remain calm because he knows that the Undead animals believed that humans are selfish by nature. So, he wants them to remain calm, cool, and reserved during the king's visit. His subordinates, including Julie and Marsa, really agreed with him, but they were encouraged to raise their hands to ask questions.

They did, and Sati goes first.

"What is it, Sati?" Lloyd replied.

"What kind of decorations will we put?" Sati asked.

To that Lloyd thinks for a while, before he responded, "I know! Your tribe's theme. Do you have one?"

 "Yes, mostly leaves."

"That'll be good for the decorations."

Lloyd then extended that plan to include the themes of every autonomous tribes as well.

After that, Lloyd asked, "So, any more questions?"

Xerxes then raised his hand next.

 "Yes, Xerxes?"

"How long will they stay in this country?" Xerxes asked.

"I...I don't know," Lloyd replied back. "But we'll just keep the welcoming decorations on until the end of their visit. Is that okay?"

Eventually, his subordinates agreed with that.

Then, Hale raised her hand.

"What is it, Hale?" Lloyd asked.

"Is he going to see all of the tribes?" Hale asked.

"I'm not sure, but we should be fully prepared, including all of the tribes under our jurisdiction."

They agreed with that one, too.

"Okay, any more questions?" Lloyd asked once more.

This time, they didn't ask any more questions.

"Okay, let's make this as a plan of preparation for everyone to do," Lloyd declared to them.

And so, he announced this to every autonomous tribal leader, who came to the meeting room on Lloyd's orders, and they agreed to do so since it was their village chieftain's orders. Shortly thereafter, they instructed their people to decorate their homes and buildings with decorations according to their tribe's local theme. They only have one day, so they cooperate to make it faster.

At the same time, Lloyd gave lectures on manners and rules of etiquette to his subordinates, who then spread it to most of their people, including the capital city guards and soldiers. All of this are not easy, but by the end of the day, they managed to pull it off. This includes times Lloyd's subordinates failing to show manners to Lloyd. But Lloyd understands that they didn't know any human manners in their whole lives. Lloyd gave detailed instructions on them so they would understand it. He hopes that they will practice it over time.

By nighttime, after dinner, Lloyd prepares his personal clothing for the visit tomorrow. He seemed to be confident on that royal visit and was determined to pull that show with success.
