Third person POV
Later, an hour after lunch, at a field in the middle of the capital, Lloyd and Jasiel had a duel. Their subordinates and envoys, including some of the Undead animals as humans, are watching from the distance. Laura and Hale are worried that Lloyd might not pass the test. And so, the village chieftain and the king drew out their swords and prepared to fight. But Jasiel's sword is much bigger and stronger than Lloyd's, which was given by Sati.
"Let's see how a young boy like you is worthy to be my opponent," Jasiel said to Lloyd as he swings his sword.
"I'll do my best, your Highness," Lloyd replied back seriously.
Then, their duel began.
Jasiel charged towards Lloyd, who then blocked his attack with his sword.
Then, Jasiel saw the Undead aura was emitting from Lloyd's sword.
"This can't be!" he thought in alarming.
They then both clashed again, but Lloyd managed to gain an upper hand in a narrow chance.
Jasiel was blasted a few meters away, but managed to get up with ease.
"That's...That's an Undead weapon!" he said to Lloyd. "H-How did you hold it without it going crazy?"
"I...I don't know," Lloyd responded back as he can't think of a reason how. "I think I'm different."
"I'm very impressed, Lloyd," Jasiel responded.
He then charged towards him again, prompting Lloyd to now use his necromancy to summon some dead animals so he could subdue him without hurting him.
It did the trick, and Jasiel was being held by three Undead animals, one cat and two dragons as humans, preventing him from moving or attacking Lloyd.
The king's envoy was shocked to see such magic, for they had seen it rarely.
"What the...?"
"Is that necromancy?"
"How did he do that?"
"Wow, it worked..." Lloyd thought in astonishment.
"Impossible!" remarked Jasiel. "How can you learn such rare magic?"
But Lloyd doesn't know how, so he just shrugged. "I don't know. I just discovered it so suddenly, that's all."
Jasiel understands that, and Lloyd eventually brought three summoned Undead back to the ground with his hand.
"He had figured it out himself," Zeke said to Jasiel's subordinates. "He might be our village chieftain, but he's our student in combat and magic."
"I-I see." one of Jasiel's officials cleared his throat. "That's how."
Then, after that, Jasiel decided to end the duel under a pretense that Lloyd was worthy enough to be his trading partner and opponent, and declared that Lloyd wins the duel.
Lloyd was stunned, seeing that he had won with little effort.
He had won the king's trust and passed the test, much to the Undead animals' surprise.
