Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 – Undead Weapons

Third person POV

A few days had passed, and at the same time, Lloyd's main administrative house was now finished being renovated. Meanwhile, Hertzel's party was hunting some giant wild boars in the forests to be sold for money. He was with his party, who comprised of 4 people, a healer, a mage, a vanguard, and a swordsman. But his party was actually Lloyd's childhood friends, who were forced to be his party against their will.

One day, while Lloyd was in his office working, Sati came and asked him for a short time off from his job as a head of the army so he could practice his sword skills. Lloyd then stopped his work and looked at him. "Sure, why not. For how long?"

  "Around 2 hours," responded Sati.

Lloyd then gestured to grant his request. "Okay then."

With that, Sati turned back and left the office.

But before Sati would open the door, Lloyd stand up. "Wait!"

Sati then turned around, "What is it, master?"

"You guys had Undead weapons, right?" Lloyd asked.

  "Yes, why?"

"I want to see what you have."

Sati then thinks for a few moments, then he responded, "Okay, come with me, master."

And so, both of them left the office and went to one room of the main administrative house, which was Sati's personal arsenal.

Upon arriving there, Lloyd was amazed at his subordinate's collection of weapons. This also includes some spears and crossbows, too.

"You have that many Undead weapons?" Lloyd asked.

"Yes," Sati replied while stroking one of his swords. "Most of them are from humans whom we killed in the past."

"I see." They then went in, and Lloyd looked around in amazement.

Then, Lloyd touched one of the swords and wield it up high like a child, causing Sati to be alerted. "Woah, master, you can't touch that!"

The reason why is that if a human touch an Undead weapon, the weapon will activate itself and become haywire.

But, in Lloyd's case, nothing had happened, as if Lloyd was resistant to it.

"What?" Lloyd responded to this as he put down the sword.

Sati was stunned at the nonreactive response from his leader. "That one supposed to go out of control if a human like you touched that."

Hearing the last part, Lloyd freaked out and immediately let go of it. "I'm sorry!"

"But...it didn't go haywire." Sati picked up the sword with his two hands.

Lloyd then looked at the sword directly. "Really? How?"

Sati couldn't offer an explanation, so he just replied, "I don't know. How can you touch it without a problem?"

Lloyd then shrugged. "I don't know either."

Then, thinking that Lloyd might be a different human than everyone, Sati asked, "Do you want to learn how to fight?"

Lloyd then glanced at him. "What?"

"Do you want to learn how to fight, master?" Sati repeated.

To that Lloyd thinks for a while, figuring out the benefits and downsides of it.

"Well, since I am a leader," he reasoned, "I should learn how to fight, too. Sure, you can fight?"

"Yes, master, ever since I was a child." Sati accepted with confident positivity. "I'll teach you how to fight!"

"Okay, this afternoon it is!" his master replied back.
