Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – Lloyd’s Mother

Lloyd's POV

Walking through the dimension's rocky path surrounded by strange plants, me and my party were amazed at its strange surroundings, including creatures that I never seen before. Along the way, we saw scores of dead souls enjoying their lives in eternity, whether be positive or negative.

"Those dead souls..." I said to my subordinates.

"They're doing their usual thing as if they are still alive." Zeke crossed his arms.

"Is that so?" We then continued on.

But then, after an hour of exploring, we decided to go back to the overworld to continue our work.

But on the way, I couldn't help but look at a woman behind a strange-looking tree sitting and leaning against it. She has brown hair, red lips, and her eyes are purple. Then, she looked at me, and I was shocked to see that she resembled my dead mother. I then ran towards her. "Mom, is that you?"

"Lloyd-sama, where are you going?" Sati asked.

Arriving there, I asked her if she was my mother.

"Uh, who are you?" she spoke.

"It's me, Nate Wole," I responded, using my former name.

She looked surprised, knowing that I was in the End Dimension.

She then went closer to me. "Are you really Nate Wole?"

  "Y-Yes?" I replied bluntly.

She then checked my face and hair while trying to remember her previous life.

  "Um, uh..."

  "It is you!" she exclaimed.

She then removed her hands from me. "What are you doing here? Did you die?"

"No, I'm still alive," I answered.

I then sat down on a big rock next to the tree.

She then sat down. "I can't believe my own son would visit this place. How did you do that? It's impossible to go here unless you're dead."

"Well, my friends activated a portal using their blood," I replied back while looking at my clothes.

"Friends? Your childhood friends?" she asked.

  "No, my new friends."

"What happened to your old friends?"

"I had to leave because...I got disowned and exiled."

Mom was shocked to hear that. "What? Why? What did you do wrong?"

"I was considered weak for having no magic," I responded.

"I knew this will come!" she replied. "So, where do you live now?"

I then looked at the right, before glancing at Mom. "In the Wooda lowlands."

"Eh? That region is home to hostile Undead animals!" Mom replied.

"Yeah, and I was supposed to die and be with you here," I responded, "but some of them decided to save me. And in the end, I became their leader, or rather, village chieftain."

Mom then get what I had said. "Oh..."

"Yeah, those new friends are those Undead animals. They're my subordinates now."

"So you formed a new nation or something?"

"Yup, it's called Wooda, and I'm planning to claim the entire lowlands for the people."

Mom was delighted to hear that ambitious plan.

She then hugged me. "Wow, my little boy is now a man! How old are you now?"

She then discharged from hugging.

  "I'm 15," I answered back, "and I'll be 16 by 7 months more."

"Wow, you're all grown up now."

"Not really though, I'm still a kid and learning."

  "I see."

Mom then stand up. "Well, if I were still alive, I would've file for divorce from your father and ran away with you. But this illness...it took me away from you."

I then frantically stammered, "I-It's okay, mom, I'm doing fine now."

She then turned to me. "Okay, you should go back to the overworld now. You had duties, right?"

"Oh, right!" I realized by now. "We're just exploring and..."

Mom then smiled. "I'll be watching over you. See you, Nate-kun."

With that, I get off the rock and ran back to my party.

Upon arriving there, I saw that they had seen everything.

"Who was that woman?" Sati asked.

"That'll be my mom," I responded. "Remember she was dead?"

  "Oh, right, right."

"What did you and your mom talk about?" Hale asked.

I then looked at her. "Some personal stuff."

My party then get what I had said.

"Okay, shall we go back to the overworld?" Zane asked.

I then nodded to say yes.

And so, we all continued our way back to the portal, and back to the overworld.

The next day after that, me and Zeke went to the now deactivated portal to offer some flowers for my dead biological mother, since I couldn't visit her gravestone in Langton. After that, I said to Zeke, "Mom is so awesome."

"Yeah, not gonna lie, master," Zeke responded with agreement. "She was so caring to you."

I then glanced at him. "Yup, she is."

We then turned back and went back to our duties in the capital.
