Third person POV
"We're here!" Lloyd enthusiastically said to Sati and Xerxes in the carriage.
Upon hearing that, Sati wakes Xerxes up, as promised. "Wake up, we're here now."
Now waking up, Xerxes opened his eyes and gets up, before stretching a bit.
"It's been a few hours," he said to Sati.
"Yeah, it's just a few hours away from Baleville," replied Sati.
Then, Lloyd and Jan get off and ran to the back to get the cargo.
Upon seeing that it was already night time, Xerxes walks to the end of the carriage and asked them, "Is tonight a full moon?"
Hearing that, Lloyd and Jan looked at him, and Jan was surprised to see Xerxes's wolf form.
"Woah, you're a wolf?" he asked.
"Yeah, remember?" Xerxes responded.
"Oh, right, right."
Sati helped out by carrying the rest of their cargo of traded goods.
Xerxes then get off and sees the moon for himself.
The moon was a half-moon, so Xerxes couldn't howl.
"Right, according to my tribe's astronomers," he said to them, "the full moon will be three nights away."
"Oh, yeah," Lloyd replied back. "Wolves only howl at a full moon."
Xerxes then transformed back to his human form and carried some of the crates.
They then all went to the front gate of the village with their cargo.
Upon seeing the wooden gate, Jan was quite impressed that Lloyd did a great job transforming a tent-dwelling tribe into a closely-knitted village of houses. They were lighted with poles of torches.
"So this is the place?" he said to Lloyd.
"Yes, " answered Lloyd back, "this is Lewole, sort of the capital of Wooda."
"You named that after your new last name?"
"Yup, why not?"
And then, Laura and Hale came and opened the gate for them using a system of pulleys and ropes.
"Sorry, Lloyd-sama," Hale said to Lloyd directly, "we didn't know you'll return at this hour. I thought it was a few days."
"That's okay," Lloyd replied positively. "Sorry, I just realized that I would be caught by the authorities if I stayed at a town too long so we just traded all of our goods all day long and traveled this afternoon."
"Wow, it seems those humans liked it," Laura responded delightfully. "You have something new?"
Jan then saw Laura and Hale's beauty as humans, and he was a bit flustered by it; but he already had someone else.
He and the others then went in, and the two girls closed the gate.
Within the city walls, Lloyd, Jan, Sati, and Xerxes put down the boxes separately, and Sati began to open them one by one to see what they've got.
"Hey, Sati-kun," Laura greeted.
"Yeah, hey," Sati responded while pry opening one of the crates with his hands.
After opening, Hale and Laura leaned over to see the human-made products.
The first crate contains door hinges and its components and tools.
Then, seeing that they had returned so fast, almost the rest of the city came and gathered around.
Jan was surprised to see how Lloyd had managed to "tame" those Undead animals.
"Wow, what are those?" Laura asked Lloyd.
"Those are door hinges," answered Lloyd back. "It's what we humans used for doors, and this acts like a connector between the wall and the door, allowing the door to open freely."
Hale and the rest are amazed by its looks despite the simple mechanism it employs.
"So you'll teach us how to attach it to our doorways?" one of them asked.
"Yes, after dinner," Lloyd responded.
He then glanced at Jan and said, "Hey, why not stay here for the night? It's dangerous to travel at night."
Thinking about this, Jan eventually nodded. "Sure, I'll leave by tomorrow morning."
With that, Lloyd began to proceed to explain to his subjects about the things he, Sati, and Xerxes traded for.
Meanwhile, Zeke was working at Lloyd's desk when his sister, Marsa, came and informed him of Lloyd's return with Sati and Xerxes. In response to that, Zeke was surprised and immediately went out to check it out with Marsa. When they arrived, Lloyd had just finished explaining about the human-made products they got from trading.
"You had returned," Zeke said to Lloyd.
Upon hearing that, Lloyd and the others looked at him.
"Oh, good evening, Zeke-kun," Lloyd greeted back. "How's the nation?"
"It's good. Everything went well."
"I see. It seems my subordinate did his job well. Okay, I'm now back. I got this.
"Okay, sir."
Later, they all have a communal, feast-style dinner at the center of the village. The food consisted of wheat porridge, meat, fruits, vegetables, and bread. The drink is water. As the rest eat, drink, and celebrate Lloyd's return from his trading trip, Jan looked at his food. He got a plate roasted boar meat, some greens and fruits, and a bowl of wheat porridge.
"Their food seemed to be simple, but yet delicious and nutritious," he thought. "I can't believe I raised Lloyd so well to be a leader of a new nation. I'll absolutely recognize that."
He then looked at Lloyd, who was talking to Zeke and Hale about his trip with Sati and Xerxes.
Zeke then laughed at one funny part in Lloyd's story.
Letting out a slight smile, Jan thought, "He is like a son to me."
