Third person POV
And so, by the next few days, Nate had been transforming the lives of the Undead animal tribes with his modernization act. He taught them more simple recipes and cooking techniques for them to diversify their diet. He forged metal objects like cooking pans, saws, pots, cooking tools like spatulas, and even spoon and forks, in which he taught them how to use them properly (He learned how to forge metal from a blacksmith friend of his back at Langton.). The metal they used comes from an abandoned iron mine west in the mountains, which was a few hours away on foot. Since pottery and clothmaking were a thing in the Undead animal tribes, Nate only introduced more diverse designs for all kinds of pottery and cloth. He also taught them how to make simple furniture that doesn't require door hinges, which he doesn't have nor how to make them from scratch yet. This includes things like beds and simple, small cabinets for storage. He also diversified the type of houses they can make by introducing his book on architecture to them. They were amazed by the many types of houses and buildings they can make. But still, they started with the simple ones.
At the same time, the Undead cat and the Undead wolf tribes, despite being rivals at each other for centuries, also began to modernize as well, adopting farming and replacing half of their tent homes with small wooden houses of different kinds Some had even gable roofs, thanks to Nate's introduction of it. But, they'll add windows when Nate show them how to do it.
Day 7 came, and four Undead animal tribes had been transformed into little closely-knitted villages, complete with agricultural farmlands of not just wheat and barley, but also other fruits and vegetables (They haven't been introduced to livestock and poultry by Nate yet.). At the same time, the tribal leaders of the other three, including George, decided to unify their tribes with Nate's, formerly Sati's, tribe through scratching a mark on a plank of wood that signifies who had united with Nate's tribe. This doesn't mean they would lose their independence and autonomy, however; Nate still keeps some autonomy to their lands, including their production of food and other products.
And so, on that fateful night, around the campfire, each of the tribal leaders make a scratch mark on that plank of wood, just below Nate's, which was longer than the other three, signifying their unity with his tribe, but with some autonomy and a lot of diversity. They also agreed with Nate's rules of conduct, but Nate granted their right to continue their playfights, as long as it doesn't involve death.
At the same time, Nate was now enjoying his new life, completely forgetting his miserable past at Langton. He also adopted a new identity, and his new name is Lloyd Lewole. He also adopted the title, Village Chieftain, and had added new rules to his oral code of conduct.
By day 9, however, after a night of studying, Lloyd finally showed them how to make windows on their homes: by cutting holes with saws, before retrofitting them with either cloth or a hanging piece of wood that can be lowered or pulled. They were amazed, but Lloyd encouraged them to include that design in their future houses before actually building it. And so, they began to cut holes on their currently existing houses and added something to close for privacy, in different shapes and sizes according to their personal preferences.
At the same time, at the palatial house in the city of Ole in the kingdom of Langton, Nate's father and older brother, Tyle and Hertzel, are celebrating Hertzel's graduation from the prestigious Langton Royal Academy, and his first job as an adventurer and knight with a contract that offers a high pay. They ate and drank at the grand dining room, almost like of a king's, while laughing and chatting away. But, there's one person who didn't and never enjoyed all that pleasure, and that person is Gretchel, Lloyd's younger, legitimate half-sister who was sympathetic to him for years prior to his exile. She planned to run away from home before her entry into Langton's prestigious academy. She was 11 at that time. But, will she succeed in doing so?
