At a certain five star hotel...
Music could be heard from the outside of the building indicating that a grand celebration was going on inside.
A magnificient ballroom is bathed in a warm, golden glow from the crystal chandeliers. The walls are adorned with intricate tapestries and the floor is polished to a mirror-like shine.
In the centre of the ballroom,a large circular dance floor awaits the guests, surrounded by beautifully decorated tables draped in elegant white linens.
Each table is adorned with delicate floral arrangements and sparkling candle holders. The chairs are cushioned with plush, velvet upholstery.
A lavish buffet is perfectly set up at the end of the ballroom, offering an array of delectable dishes. The aroma of gourmet cuisine fills the air, enticing guests to indulge in culinary delights. Nearby, a stylish bar serves an assortment of drinks, from classic cocktails to fine wine.
The party was indeed an exact definition of wealth and prosperity. Moving over to the guests wearing million dollar worth of clothing, adorned with very expensive accessories you could tell with just a glance that this was a gathering of the country's most influential people.
As the evening progresses, guests twirl and sway on the dance floor, their elegant attire flowing with each graceful movement. Laughter and conversation fill the air, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
Somewhere beside the bar of this meticulously set ball room, a lady was spotted with a drink in her hand, staring around and observing the guests.
The lady was putting on a stunning ball gown in a vibrant shade of red. It had a clean and elegant design with a flowing silhouette that gracefully cascades to the floor. The simplicity of the gown allowed the rich red colour to take the center stage, exuding a sense of sophistication and allure.
Her hair was a light, golden blonde, like the sun shining on a field of wheat. It fell in soft waves down to her shoulders, framing her delicate features. Her skin too was fair and smooth, with a rosy blush on her cheeks. Her eyes were a warm hazel, flecked with gold and green. Her figure was curvy and feminine, with a small waist and hips that flared out gracefully. She was a vision of loveliness, only thing being that she was all by herself there.
It was her first time attending an event this grand so the identity of the guests were quite a mystery to her but the warm atmosphere of the room made it a bit convenient for her to adapt. Her sister had sent her here to fill in for her, reasons best known to her.
Suddenly, her phone chimed. She quietly brought it out of her purse to check who was calling.
It was her sister.
"Hello" the lady answered
"Where the hell are you?" The lady on the other end echoed.
"I'm still at the party"
"Any idea how late you are? It's 10:30 pm and you still aren't back yet"
"I'm sorry i'll start heading home now" she replied gently, not wanting to piss her off any further.
"Good" she said and hung up
The girl at the party sighed deeply, obviously not wanting to leave the party just like that without having her way with any of the guests she stared at all night.
The least she did was exchange hands with the hosts, cohosts and other grand officials of the high table since her sister was one of the guests of honour of the event. It was quite thrilling for her actually since she'd never done it before... And that was typically the only thing magnificient she could boast of doing at the mysterious party.
When she finally turned to leave, she accidentally spills wine on the suit of the guy who was standing right behind her.
She gasped in both shock and fear on seeing the stain her wine had left on the suit.
"What the hell!?" The guy echoed.
"Oh no i am so sorry si.." She diverted her gaze to his face to get what the guy looked like.
Her cute hazel eyes met his fiery blue eyes and her lips twitched and drifted apart, expecting words to come out but nothing happened.
The man standing gracefully before her was a tall, handsome young man with piercing blue eyes, long and thick lashes that formed his face, a jawline chiseled to perfection and a body that rippled with muscles that were honed by hours of hardwork and dedication. His hair was dark and perfectly styled and his clothes were impeccably tailored.
He had an air of sophistication and confidence that was impossible to ignore. He also had this frightening yet inviting aura and the husky yet beautiful voice of an angel that echoed with a hint of arrogance.
His suit fitted like a dream, expertly tailored to accentuate all the right features. The long black coat he wore added an extra layer of refinement to the suit. Tailored to perfection with clean lines and a sleek silhouette. The length of the coat added a touch of sophistication while the black colour exuded timeless elegance.
Her knees weakened, realizing that she just ruined a suit that could be worth millions of dollars.
Everything about him exuded power, control and raw masculinity. He was like a walking work of art, a typical example of what she called 'god of beauty' and the fact that he had those stunning blue eyes of his looking fiercely at her right now was enough to drive her insane.
He was just too beautiful to be on this earth if you asked her.
An air of embarassment engolfed her as she quickly snapped out of her gaze to realise that her mouth had been open the whole time she got lost in his beauty.
"Um i am so sorry sir i didnt mean to spill my wine on your suit" She apologised, nearly falling on her knees.
The man looked down at his suit, now stained with red wine. For a moment he looked as though he might explode with anger. But then, as the lady was just about to say something again, he sighed and said, "It's just a suit", his voice sharp, despite his attempt at a reassuring tone.
His response left her stunned as she sighed in resignation, knowing fully well that the suit must have cost him a fortune but here he was, calling it 'just a shirt' as if the cost was of no concern
Nevertheless, she could sense his aura. It wasn't exactly friendly, but it wasn't angry either.
Trying to study his expression was like trying to read a book with mixed signals. Her brows furrowed as she struggled to decipher his true intentions. He seemed to be this intriguing blend of both friendliness and aloofness. It definitely made things challenging for her to understand him completely and she didn't like it.
"Um.." she brought out a handkerchief to wipe the stain.
"Don't touch it with that." he sighed in disbelief. "You'll only make it worse"
"Sir, I know this suit must have cost you alot so I really want to make things right.. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" she looked at him expectantly, waiting for his response.
'He was trying to be difficult.'
"It's fine.. But if you wanna insist, well, you could join me on the dance floor. That should be enough" a playful smirk thuged up his lips
"Wh.. what? You really wanna dance with me? Sir?"
"You asked for a make up and I think this will be perfect"
"Fair... But don't you have a date? won't she get mad at me?"
"My date? I am not here on a date but if I were, i'm sure she'd get mad if she hears that you refused a dance with me" another playful smirk thuged up his lips with that hint of arrogance.
"But sir i'm not even a great dancer"
"Is that another excuse?" The man replied with a slight grin and stretched out his hand. "Now, shall we? Mind you, I don't take no for an answer."
