Chapter 5 - Sweet encounter

"Hey excuse me. the door is locked." Jena said, fixing her gaze on the overly silent man, driver, she really wasn't sure what to call him.

"Triston! Unlock the door for rainbow" Lucien called out to the driver.

The driver quickly responded. "Of course sir"

Jena froze for a moment as she heard the name 'Triston'. A whirlwind of thoughts filled her head. Could it be the same Triston as Anna's complicated boyfriend?

Considering the fact that she never laid eyes on him before and Anna knew precisely alot about Lucien, the coincidence was too uncanny to be ignored.

Her imagination ran wild, conjuring up all sorts of scenarios and possibilities that would come down to this. It was fascinating how one name could peak her curiosity like this.

"Penny for whatever's cooking in that head of yours." Lucien chipped in.

"Huh?" Jena zoned back in. "Nothing um it's just .." she trailed off. "I'll see you tomorrow" she gave him her see-you-tomorrow smile and got out of the car. She watched the car leave and slowly disappear from sight, wondering what kind of proposal he might have for her.

Her heart raced with joy as she recalled her first actual Lucien conversation with Anna. This was indeed something magical if you asked her and she wasn't ready to let go.

Her cheeks soon flushed red. If Lucien came to the restaurant to meet her, that means he was searching for her, right?

Before she could fully process this sweet encounter she just had, Devin approached her with this mischievious smile that practically screamed "You better start talking", causing her to chuckle and roll her eyes at him. Together, they went back into the restaurant, packed up and relocated home.

As early as 8:45am the following morning, Jena was prepared and ready to go.

She remembered Anna's words from last night when she told her about everything but intentionally skipped the part involving involving the mysterious driver named Triston.

Anna emphasized on the importance of being punctual and making a great first impression to her. Her early morning call was literally what awoke Jena.

She shared valuable hints, tips and insights with her, drawing from her own success in the business world. Luckily for her, Anna had a wealth of experience in the business world.

Jena paid full attention, knowing how instrumental Anna's expertise would be in her own journey.

Well, that would only be if and only if the 'proposal' he mentioned was what they were thinking. All they had now were just mere assumptions.

Jena was about to leave when she heard her sister's voice echo. "And where the hell are you going? Last I checked you go to work at 10am so where are you headed?"

"Oh hey Jessy! I didn't know you were up already" Jena replied innocently.

"Yeah, did you not hear my question?"

"Oh um, well, sir Lucien, the man I told you about that night he um... he asked me to come by his office today to discuss a proposal."

"What proposal?"

"He didn't really say much about it"

"And you had no plans on telling me?"

"Actually I planned on telling you when I got back today since I didn't have much info on his kind of proposal." Jena defended.

Jessy scoffed. "Is there anything you aren't telling me? About you and this Sanderson guy? hmm?" Her brows lifted.

"What? Absolutely not Jessy. There's nothing to worry about I promise. Now if you'll excuse me i'll get going now. See you later Jessy!" Jena waved as she slowly disappeared from sight.

. . . .

Jena was totally blown away by the sight of the magnificient building at Mega enterprises. She thought Jessy's company was big, but this one takes the cake.

The surroundings were so stunning. Jena couldn't help but admire the building at the entrance.

Sometimes, building can be so grand that it's hard to count all the floors. Not to think that she tried counting the floor but it seemed to grow bigger everytime she looked.

With a deep breath and the warmest smile, she confidently stepped inside the building.

She walked in with confidence, turning heads with her stylish outfit and radiant smile.

Her striking features, including her beautiful eyes and flowing blond hair added to her allure. She quickly caught everyone's attention, even without having to ask.

Nobody failed to notice her and admire her presence. She exuded a sense of charm and grace that made her stand out in the crowd.

Luckily for her, she was able to find her way to the receptionist's office after seeking help from one of the workers.

After a few interactions and a quick phone call, Jena was led to go and see their mystical CEO.

Jena noticed the name plate on the door that read 'President Lucien Sanderson' confirming that they had arrived.

With a deep breath, she watched as the doors swung open. The receptionist signaled her to wait, then quickly returned and gave her the green light to go in.

That aura.. she could feel it once more. She could sense that powerful aura only exuded by this mr Sanderson.

President Sanderson was busy with some documents so Jena felt a wave of relief wash over her. She took a few moments to compose herself before stepping forward.

"Have a seat" his deep commanding voice echoed, inviting Jena to settle down.

Her heart skipped a beat as she heard his voice.

With a slight tremor in her voice she replied, "Thank you" and quickly found a seat.

Her jaws dropped as she silently admired the room while waiting for him. His office was simply all about elegance and sophistication.

It has a modern design with sleek furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows offering a stunning view, and a spacious desk where he could make important decisions. The walls are adorned with tasteful artwork and there was a cozy seating area for meetings on the other side of the room. It's a place that exudes professionalism and success

After a while of utter admiration, she gathered her thoughts and composed herself as she settled into the seat, waiting patiently for President Sanderson to acknowledge her presence and guide a conversation.

Soon, she heard her name echo in the room and watched as a playful smirk flashed across his face.

"I bet you thought about the proposal all night."

"Would've been weird if I didn't sir.. You really had my curiosity piqued last night" Jena replied with so much confidence that she began to wonder where it came from.

"Guess i'll just go straight to the point now then" President Sanderson said and leaned back in his chair. "So Jena, I have surprisingly noticed how exceptional your attention to details are and how effectively you handle them. It wouldn't be very wise of me to deny noticing such helpful talent and now, I would like to invite you to take up the role of managing my schedules and handling some important documents here in my office. So what do you say?" A coy smile formed on his face as he studied her expression for a while before completing, "Be my secrerary."
