S O L E I L
Two days after I woke up, I never got the chance to see Damon again and ask him about the deals and arrangements I was supposed to have made with my brother.
He didn't even tell Mei where he was, and after many phone calls he said no.
"Excuse me, what is it?"
When I heard someone call my name, I asked. Doctors and nurses were there to check on me. As usual, the doctor kept talking while the nurse kept staring at me with a dead expression. "I'm feeling better now, so I'll let May help me move, but it's going to have to be slow and steady," he advised.
I laughed, but I didn't really agree with him. "I am not disabled.
"If he allows it," she muttered quietly.
I withdrew her statement after noticing the guilt-like sign on her face from her doctor.
"If you need me, May knows how to contact me. You are a warrior, Soleil, and I am proud of you. 'He squeezed my hand tightly.
I felt uncomfortable with his behavior and forced myself to smile.
"Thank you." I waved him lightly as he walked out of the room with the nurse. It hurt a little so I let go of it.
The other hand was wrapped in a cast. I insisted on not wearing it around my neck, but after being very frustrated the doctor agreed.
I slowly got out of bed and approached the mirror. When I stood in front of it and saw myself, I closed my eyes and opened them again a second later.
I still couldn't believe how I looked and touched my face, my bruised, blackened eyes, and my cut lips. The fear I was fighting with disappeared from my eyes. He took off his white shirt down to his ankles, revealing a bandage on his ribs. I tore it apart to see how damaged I was. Although the wounds are healing, the memories of being hit many times are still fresh.
"We are animals! Wild animals." The other side of my body was still injured, my face frowning in pain and my hand hitting it.
"Do you want to die?...we are werewolves." His voice kept ringing in my head.
His hair was unkempt, his skin faded, and the most unusual thing that bothered me was his non-existent butt.
"Werewolves! What does that even mean?"
The door suddenly opened and I turned around to find Mei standing by the door. "What are you doing?" I went back to the mirror and quickly cleared my eyes.
"Nothing, I was just about to take a bath. Do you need anything?" I asked.
"I don't have a girlfriend. I just want you to ask me what I like for dinner."
"I'm not very hungry. I'm fine." I walked steadily toward the bathroom door, shuffling. As I was about to open it, I felt Mei's strained gaze on my back.
"Can I help you with something?" she asked.
"Yes, can you help me put on new clothes?"
After some hesitation, she nodded.
"Soleil, I'll help you take a bath. There's no need to be shy," he said with a smile.
"I can do it, Mei-chan. Thank you." She tried to approach me, probably trying to persuade me.
"Please stop, I'm already as bad as I am now. Helping me will only make me unhappy." Please let me do this this time," I begged through tears.
Mei was by my side when I woke up and she helped me with everything. I know I should be grateful for their help, but it only made me unhappy.
May respected my decision, slammed the door behind him and left the room.
I too closed the bathroom door behind me, turned on the light, and opened the curtain that separated the tub. My lips twitched in a smile remembering what happened on my first day at this villa.
I pushed that memory to the back of my mind. It wasn't even worth remembering. Not after all I went through at the hands of Damon and his father.
I struggled to get the cast off my hand, but I couldn't. I hissed at my failed attempt.
No way, Soleil! I cursed
Just when I was about to call May for the last time, the door suddenly opened.
I backed away as I watched Daemon come into the bathroom. Light reflected in his eyes as he noticed my approach.
Anger flared in his eyes and his jaw tightened.
"I heard you struggle outside the door and thought you might need help." He crossed his large arms in front of his chest.
"You've taken care of me, but I can do it, too."
He nodded, leaning his back against the wall and shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Okay, let's see how you do it," he said, wanting to see me make a fool of myself.
"I can't stand this, Daemon," I begged without a word please. He raised his hand and closed his eyes.
"Close your eyes, soleil and hands up. Do what you have to do, wrap yourself in a towel. Then open your eyes and see how wonderful you are, even if you're so hurt." Tell me to look," he sneered.
"You can ridicule me as much as you like. I didn't ask for that," I spit.
"I'm not going to argue with you, Soleil." I knew he wasn't going to leave this place until I did what he said. He was in excruciating pain, but he tried to remove the cast again.
"You're really useless, Soleil," I hissed, screaming in pain as the demon pulled me wildly into his body, his eyes digging into mine.
"If I ever open my mouth and use that foul language again, I will not allow it to be used for anything else until the day I die." Became. "It has nothing to do with you." I struggled to escape his tight grip.
He put his hands around my waist and put his forehead against mine with a sinister grin.
"Repeat the word and you'll know it's my job," he threatened again.
"What word, specifically? 'You, you, something, or the good-for-nothing?'" I asked angrily. "Don't play with fire, Soleil. It's burning! Be a good boy and we'll clean you up."
"Let go, demon!"
*never* that voice!
I heard that voice for the first time since I woke up.
"D, did you say something?"
He raised his eyebrows.
"What do you think?"
"I thought I heard something"
"It's a side effect of being in a coma for too long." I glared at him, trying to say I was insane.
"I'm not crazy, Daemon." He opened his mouth to say something, but stopped. "Let's take it off first." He touched my hand to remove the cast, but I pushed him away.
"You can do it yourself. I'm not useless," I repeated.
Damon pulled me up again and put his hand behind my head.
"Calm down, can you help me? You may be lucky to meet your little friend in the morning. "
"Sapphire! She's still alive," I asked, and he nodded once.
The thought of meeting Sapphire brought tears to his eyes. I missed her so much and she's so happy to know she's still alive.
Seeing that I didn't say anything, he took that I cooperated with him.
He even helped me remove the cast before adding soapy water to the bathtub. I thought he was going to strip me naked. Surprisingly, he didn't. He picked me up and put me in the bathtub, making sure the water covered my nakedness.
"Unbutton yourself," he asked.
I stared at him before nodding. I struggled to unbutton when I felt the heat of his gaze on my body. After successfully removing them, I pulled the shirt off my body. As I stroked his shirt, my fingers stroked his body and I felt an electric current flow through his body.
His gaze was intense and he intertwined his long fingers before I could pull them away.
*Fuck it all! Damn!!* I heard that voice. It sounded like they were fighting something.
*Fuck Damon* Before I could even think about what I was listening to, I felt his lips touch mine.
