After the projection ended, Momotaro looked at Danny's face and felt a chill running down his spine. The white-haired, low-level demon who had agreed to join Momotaro's campaign as his supporter had an expression full of resentment on his face.
Momotaro didn't know the nature of that expression, nor did it matter to him. Right now, all Momotaro needed to focus on was having Danny sign a demon contract with him.
Demon contracts are signed between two beings. At least one contractor must be a demon. This is an unbreakable contract. If one of the contracted parties attempts to leave the agreement or break its rules, the aforementioned party will suffer grave consequences.
"Are you able to sign a contract now?"
Momotaro snapped his fingers, and a piece of paper materialized.
"Can I take a look before I do?"
Danny asked, and Momotaro gave him the sheet of paper.
Danny took a swift look and chuckled.
The title of the contract, "Subordination Contract," made a lot of sense, but it wasn't for Danny's taste.
"I know that I agreed to be your supporter, but it doesn't mean I will submit to you. Either I sign as your equal, or the deal is off."
Danny said.
"But that's not the nature of our relationship. I will be king, and you will be my subordinate. The demon king has no equal."
Momotaro argued.
"I'm willing to go beyond The All Creator's domain if it's for my ally. I won't do so if I'm a mere subordinate."
Danny said, and Momotaro wasn't sure what's his best choice.
"And after I become king, what do you want to receive?"
Momotaro asked him.
"....."
Danny didn't know what he wanted. If Satan didn't get Marcuse on the throne and has left Hell, what more could Danny wish for?
"Then our deal is off. I wish you the best of luck, so long as you won't cross paths with my plans."
Danny said and left the dojo with disappointment.
Momotaro was the only obvious participant Danny could support. The Greek Clan's main choice is an inept moron, and the Baal Clan's main pick is a slothful and cruel coward. Picking either one of them would mean doom to Hell.
This left Danny with no other choice. He shall support his brother despite his unwillingness to follow his father's orders. The only thing left was to make sure no one knew where his allegiance lay.
Well, everyone except for his closest associates.

The main building of the school had four levels.
The first level was the entrance. It was at ground level and had two doors, one from each side, to provide access.
The second level was the first-years' classrooms. They were placed in the second level because if by any chance they would get used to climbing one level every day throughout the year, the following year, they would need to get used to climbing two levels.
The third level was the second-years' level for the same reason as why the second was the first-years,' and the fourth was the third-years.'
By the side of the main building was the building students nicknamed "Hell's Hell." It was nicknamed that way because the first level was the management and teachers' lounge, which no student wanted to go close to.
The second level was the labs and specialized classes. And last, there were the third and fourth levels, which were given to the many clubs in the school. There were many classes in that building, but for some reason, there were never enough for all the clubs.
The sports clubs were the most miserable because the storehouse by the sports field was only accessible by teachers, and students weren't allowed to keep their equipment there. So year after year, the sports clubs fought over the closest classes to the stairway so they wouldn't need to carry their equipment far while being exhausted after practice.
Danny, fortunately, didn't need to go to Hell's Hell and was only required to go to the third level of the main building to speak with one of the people he wanted by his side.
He went through the hallway, not knowing in which class his target was until a female student with green hair noticed him.
"Hey! First-year! What are you doing? Are you okay?"
The girl crouched slightly and doted on Danny as if she knew him.
Danny was annoyed by the obvious height disparity between them. He wasn't tall by any means, but he liked to lie to himself that he was at least average.
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just looking for Senior Bull Head."
Danny answered her with an expression that was supposed to make it clear she should piss off, but she didn't seem to get the memo.
"Oh, all right. I'll help you!"
She announced and straightened up.
Her "assets" bounced, and Danny's thoughts traveled to other women in his life as he wondered if anyone could compare.
They walked for a bit, Danny with an irritated expression and that senior with a dumb smile.
"Oh, by the way, my name's Alya. What's your name?!"
She asked him.
"Daniel."
He answered shortly, and she pondered where she had heard this name before.
They opened the door to class 3B, and "Senior Bull Head" was the only one inside. He looked at the female senior and then at Danny by her side and sighed.
"Oh, you found him."
Danny was surprised by how quickly she found that hot-headed senior.
"Well, ever since he lost in a duel to a first-year, no one but me has talked to Little Alaparos."
The female senior said. Her eyes opened widely as if realization hit her.
"Ah! You are that first-year who beat him!"
She announced in surprise.
"In the flash."
Danny bowed slightly and shifted his gaze to his prior enemy.
"So what do you want?!"
The bull-headed senior grunted.
"Have you heard the announcement made by the king?"
Danny asked him.
"What about it?!"
The male senior shouted with anger.
"I want you to join me."
Danny answered.
"You are participating?"
The senior asked with surprise.
"No, but because of some personal issues, I'd rather people not know who I support, and I want you to join my team."
Danny clarified.
"And why should I?"
He asked with anger.
"If we succeed, I know the winner and can make sure you will get whatever you want, and because we are secret, if we lose, it won't damage you."
Danny explained.
"Is your participant from the Baal Clan?"
The bull-headed senior asked.
"No, which means if either my participant wins or the Baal Clan's participant, you will reap the rewards."
Danny said, and the male senior sighed. He had no way to refute this argument, and even if he were to consider their past qualms, he was clearly in the wrong, and this underclassman seemingly forgave him.
"Fine. I'm in."
He nodded his head and cast a spell so his number would be registered in Danny's phone.
"It sounds exciting! I also want in!"
The female senior who heard the conversation shouted with the same big smile as before.
Danny looked at the bull-headed senior for clarification on whether he should let her join, and the senior sighed.
"It's fine. She may not seem like that, but she is in eighth place among the second-years and can keep a secret if she wants."
The male senior said, and Danny chose to trust him.
"Fine, but you can't tell about this to anyone."
Danny looked at her, and she nodded in agreement.
She cast the same spell as the bull-headed senior, and her number was registered in Danny's phone.
The bell rang, and Danny returned to his class, thinking of who else he wanted to join him.
