"The second round will be Marucse Bloodborne, Prince of Hell! Against Mammon, heir to the Greed Clan!"
The voice of the announcer called as the two fighters stepped into the ring.
Marcuse put his index finger forward and chanted.
"Kadur Esh!"
A massive fireball sprouted from his finger and shot toward his opponent.
Mammon put his hand forward and exhaled a massive amount of air. As if trading spots with the exhaled air, the fireball was absorbed into his body.
"Now I get why people don't see you as anything impressive. So much potential, but you didn't even bother researching your opponents."
Mammon said.
Marcuse tried remembering anything he knew that could explain this outcome. And then it clicked. The Greed Clan has a special attribute that allows them to absorb any magic they come intact with and make it their own.
Marcuse smiled confidently, and his opponent was surprised.
"What?! Has my superiority rendered you witless?!"
Mammon yelled.
Marcuse put his hand forward and called a spell that all the students knew.
"Auctoritas Magicae!"
A stave appeared in the prince's hand, and Mammon was confused about its use.
"Do you really think a spell to measure magic control can help you?"
He asked in bewilderment.
"Imperium Magicae."
The blond prince chanted and manipulated the stave's head into the shape of a spear.
He put his leg forward and, with all his might, threw the spear at the Greed Clan's heir.
The spear pierced through the air and grazed the demon's cheek.
Marcuse stared Mammon in the eyes, and the latter felt defeated.
Summoning a weapon with magic? This was advanced, and they won't learn it until later that year.
"I yield!"
Mammon shouted, and in his fear, his voice cracked, and the entire audience laughed at his cowardice.
"The winner is Marcuse Bloodborne, Prince of Hell!"
The announcer said.
"Next is heir to the Sloth Clan against Ishtar!"
Cheers were heard from the audience.
Seeing Ishtar's fan club, Danny couldn't help but laugh.
That fight was over in seconds, and no one even knew what exactly happened.
The Sloth Clan's heir seemed to fall asleep at the start of the fight, and Ishtar used a basic vine manipulation spell to drag him outside the ring.

The next fight was Chaos's fight against the Greek Clan's heir, Kronos.
The demon, engulfed by chaotic energy, looked at his leader, and Danny put his thumb up.
"I'm sure you know you won't have a house to come back to if you win this fight."
Kronos said as they took their spots in the ring.
Chaos closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and waited for the start of the fight.
"Are the opponents, Chaos The One-hundred and Sixty-third and Kronos, heir to the Greek Demon Clan, ready?"
The announcer asked.
Both students nodded, and the announcer lifted his megaphone.
"The fourth round will be Chaos The One-hundred and Sixty-third! Against Kronos, heir to the Greek Demon Clan!"
He called loudly, and the fight began.
"Na StamatÃsei!"
Kronos used a spell that was supposed to make Chaos unable to move, but the chaotic energy engulfing the young demon morphed it into a strength-enhancement spell.
"What are y-? Chaos! Should I see this as your defiance?!"
Kronos shouted in anger.
Chaos lifted his eyes to the audience. His sister, Jennie, was there, looking at his inaction with disgust, Marcuse was there, and along with Danny, both sons of Satan seemed to be intrigued by what he'd choose, and Mira was there, even though their first meeting wasn't that great, she decided to trust him.
"Look at me when I talk to you!"
The Greek Clan's heir shouted, his voice even angrier than before.
"You know, after years of taking your shit and keeping it all to myself, I think it's time for me to rebel."
Chaos said. Kronos couldn't see his face, but Chaos's tone made it clear that this servant had made his choice.
"Stabili."
Chaos pointed his finger at the ground, and the earth started shaking.
The chaotic energy engulfing Chaos changed every spell that interacted with him randomly, and it was tough for him to extrude control.
Luckily for him, some spells were always morphed the same way. If he pointed his finger at the earth to stabilize it, the earth would always be destabilized and start shaking.
"You will regret it!"
The Greek Clan's heir shouted.
"I'm sure I will."
Chaos said and couldn't help cracking a smile.
"Kadur Esh!"
He used the same spell Marcuse used before. After years of having that chaotic energy, Chaos learned to control it a bit, so while he couldn't prevent the fireball from morphing, he could make it morph into a ball of mist to hide his presence on the battlefield.
"You damn roach! Where are you!"
Kronos was too busy shouting and didn't notice his cousin sneaking from behind and using the strength enhancement he received from Kronos's spell to deliver one hell of a punch.
Kronos was directly shot outside of the ring and knocked out.
"The winner is Chaos The One-hundred and Sixty-third!"
The announcer shouted, and Chaos looked with disbelief at the audience.
He actually did this. He went against his family in front of such a large audience... He is a moron.
He saw Danny signaling him to smile. And he controlled the chaotic energy engulfing him to show his wide grin.

After the fight ended, Chaos went back through the stone corridor to the preparation room, where his friends, whom he saw watch his fight, all waited for him.
"So you need to stay at my house?"
Danny tapped on his back and smiled.
"It will be appreciated."
Chaos answered politely, and Danny stepped over to the side to tell Sara to prepare a room.
"Good job. You surprised me there."
Marcuse said with a lot of respect directed at Chaos.
"So you really are on our side!"
Mira said, and her expression was full of relief.
"Congratulations!"
Alya, the green-haired, air-headed senior, said with excitement.
"Well done. If you could win against a high-level clan's heir, maybe my disrespectful junior was right about our chances for success."
Alaparos, the bull-headed senior, said and looked at Chaos and Danny, both with acknowledgment.
Two of the three girls who constantly surrounded Marcuse didn't comment on the current situation, and that was fine. What Chaos worried about was the third girl, who had just opened her mouth.
"Daniel told me everything, and I'm not surprised. All this time, I saw you get treated like trash by our family, but you always acted like nothing was wrong. Why didn't you say anything?!"
Tears welled in Jennie's eyes, and Chaos didn't know what to say.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to be disillusioned with the family because it might hurt you in the future."
Chaos said as he grabbed her for a hug.
At the side, watching this lovely reconciliation between brother and sister, Danny and Marcuse wanted to laugh.
They both knew that this was the reason they met these two siblings.
Chaos overworked himself and hid so much that he hit a breaking point when Danny met him and offered him a way out, while when Marcuse met Jennie, she had her guard up because she mimicked her brother, and it was only because of Marcuse's denseness with women and persistence that he made her his friend.
Both children of Satan were at witts end as they tried to keep their amused reaction to themselves and not destroy the heartfelt moment.
