Synopsis
All Daniel knew in his life was ridicule. As the bastard son of Satan and a human, he was not allowed to reveal his origins to any other being in Hell throughout his life. Now, he starts his high school career, and with the news of his father quitting his job as the demon lord of hell, Danny needs to decide what he will do: Will he support his half-brother in his ambition to become the next king of devils, or will he make his moves to take revenge against those who hurt him? All these thoughts go through his mind as he awakens new powers that relate to broken oaths and the true origins of the world. Did God create reality? Are the angels truly creatures of virtue? Why was Hell created? These questions and more are answered as he learns the world's mysteries and fights to protect his friends.

Chapter 1 - Start of High School

["It's a nice first day of school, and you can smell the anxiety of mortals, and as for the demon teenagers, well... Who cares?!"]

The newscaster's laugh was heard from the television. Danny was still asleep when the family maid came to wake him.

The residents of their house are Danny, his mother, Leia, and their maid, Sara.

"Master Danny, you will be late for another start of the year ceremony. Don't you get tired of it?"

"Wh...What tie is it?"

Danny mumbled, still half asleep.

"What did you ask?"

She didn't hear properly.

"What TIME is it?"

He asked and emphasized the word "time."

"The time is seven fifty-five in the morning."

She answered in a monotone voice.

"WHAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME SOONER?"

Danny shot from the bed and started dressing up.

"Because last year you asked me not to do that."

She answered.

"You know, Sara. You listen to me too much."

He said.

For the next half an hour or so, he was getting ready.

"What time is it?"

"Eight twenty-four, sir."

"Shit!"

He exclaimed as he quickly ran out of the house.

'I know it's my fault, but even I need to sleep. I'm not god!'

He thought to himself, with annoyance at his lack of control over the situation.

********

In the middle of Hell, in the demon king's castle, another young demon was getting ready for school.

'My name is Marcuse Bloodborne. I'm the son of Lucifer, Mephisto, Satan, king of Hell, king of demons, or whatever other name he goes by. Today, I start high school, and I'm going to the best high school in Azazel City...'

The red-eyed, golden-haired boy recited in his head.

Even though he is sixteen years old already, he still couldn't believe he had reincarnated as the prince of demons.

After getting ready, he quickly entered the ride waiting for him, and after a minute, he arrived at the school.

********

'The Satanic School For The Superiors. Also known also as S.S.S. It stands for superior.special.school. I can't believe I got a scholarship to this school, can't stop but wonder if it has something to with my fathe-'

Danny thought, but his thought process was interrupted by a familiar voice.

"So you actually came on time?"

A noble-looking young demon greeted his long-time rival and friend.

'Is this the voice of Marcuse?'

Danny wondered and searched for the source of the voice.

"Yo, dude. I'm behind you."

Marcuse said with a slap on Danny's back.

"I did not see you there. How are you? I haven't seen you in years."

Danny greeted his long-time friend.

"I'm just the prince of demons, so I'm learning in the best school. How did you get here? I didn't think you could even place foot in this place as a low-level demon."

Marcuse answered.

"If you forgot, I may be lazy, stupid, and the worst student ever, but I can even rival you."

Danny retorted.

Marcuse wanted to answer but knew anything he could say at this point would degrade him as well.

'Who would think that I would see my old rival here? High school is gonna be awesome!'

The young prince thought to himself.

"Well, even a low-level genius is a genius."

Marcuse accepted his rival's argument.

********

"Master, what would you have me do?"

A teenage half-demoness wearing a maid outfit named Mira asked her owner.

"What do you mean? Do you even know how much money it took to sign you into that damned school?! Go already, or you will be late!"

He ordered her angrily.

'I did not think he thought of me that much...'

The girl was surprised by his reaction.

"I'll take the headless skeleton horse. Bye!"

She announced as she left the house.

********

After five minutes, she entered through the school gate.

'Who would imagine a half-blooded demon like me could get to the best school in Hell.'

She thought to herself as she walked into the school.

"Yo, do you see that girl? Do you know what her deal is?"

A boy with blonde hair and red eyes, wearing the school uniform, asked someone standing beside him.

"I don't know, dude. Why won't you ask her yourself? You are the prince of demons, after all."

The boy beside him answered. The other boy was wearing a rugged school uniform that he probably bought third-hand or fourth-hand. He had two goat horns, one of which was broken, and he had white hair.

"Exactly! I'm the prince of Hell! I can't disrespect my father and go after girls from a lower class."

The first boy argued,

"Marcuse, you really need to choose your priorities better. What is more important, your damned dad or that hot chick in our class."

'So the blonde's name is Marcuse, and he is the prince. Maybe I should introduce myself. It can't do any harm...'

Mira thought to herself.

"Hello. My name is Mira of the house of Baal."

She leaned slightly forward as she introduced herself.

'Now, this chick gets it! A prince should never need to be first to introduce himself!'

Marcuse thought and nodded his head.

"Hi. My name is Marcuse Bloodborne, the prince of Hell. This is Danny, the smartest poor demon in the world."

"You really had to phrase it like that?"

Danny said. Though, he couldn't argue with Marcuse's words. Most low-level demons were poorer than high-level demons, and, in that regard, he was no different.

Two other significant differences were that many low-level demons had a low intellect fitting to their title and that the level of demons was decided by their magic energy level, which could not be increased after the age of twelve.

"You know, poor demons are not all stupid. Just most of them are."

Mira said.

DING DONG DING DONG

The voice of a person imitating a school bell sounds with the most annoying screeching voice that even dogs shouldn't be able to hear.

"ALL STUDENTS MUST GO TO THE MAIN HALL RIGHT NOW! AND IT INCLUDES YOU, TOO, DANIEL!!! AND ALL NEW STUDENTS IN THE CITY AS WELL."

The sound message was heard, and Mira looked at Danny, wondering why he was called out.

********

The main hall was full of food that looked either too alive or rotten to be eaten, teenage demons, and the dirtiest and stickiest floor most people there would feel in their entire lives.

The room was filled to the brim, and the teachers climbed up the stage.

"Students! If you are new to the city, let me welcome you to Azazel City, and if you are not new, please try to be as welcoming as you would expect us to be."

The principal said and struggled not to crack a smile.

'Welcoming? What sort of joke is that? For the next three weeks, the teachers will practically torture every kid in this school. Usually, this practice leads half of the first years to quit. Yea, welcoming... Hahaha.'

The principal thought to himself, amused by the lies embedded in that old speech that he had been forcing the students to listen to for the last hundred years.

"Just so you know, The prince, the Oni Clan's heir, the Baal Clan's heir, the Greek Clan's heir, a couple of minor clans' heirs, and the smartest commoner will be studying here this year, so a few celebrities will be here for the next few years."

A female teacher said.

The three heirs she pointed out were heirs to clans of high-level demons and were a big deal.

'I knew the prince was in my class, but I didn't know Danny was famous.'

Mira thought to herself.

"Daniel, if you skip only A SINGLE ONE of my classes without warning me, I will kill your grade!"

A rough-looking teacher shouted.

"It's okay, Sir. I don't plan on skipping class this year! My personal life ain't worth letting Marcuse be at the top of the class."

Danny said.

"Fuck you, dude. Go to Eden."

Marcuse said.

"Silence! You damn pricks, you two being at the top of every school you've ever been in doesn't make it okay for you to disrespect the teachers!"

A seemingly indescribable student said.

His entire existence was chaotic, and he emitted a weird energy around him that made it impossible to know how he really looked.

"ALL STUDENTS, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT YEAR OF YOUR LIFE. AT THE END OF THIS YEAR, IT WILL BE DECIDED WHAT JOB YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED TO. SO PLEASE SHUT UP!"

Another teacher shouted at them.

"Well, because Mr. Hades just explained everything there was to explain, you are all free to go to your classrooms."

The principal said in disappointment. He really wanted to finish his speech.

********

"Oh, good, I'm so happy I'm in the same class as you two jackasses. It's not that you two don't take anything seriously, and it will interfere with class."

The same student with the chaotic energy covering him from before said sarcastically.

"Should we take Mira with us, or are we getting away from that guy without her?"

Danny asked.

"Whoever you are, it's all good. We will sit on the other side of the class. Mira, come with us."

Marcuse said and looked at the indescribable student with an annoyed expression.

"My name is Chaos The One-hundred and Sixty-third."

The student introduced himself.

"Your name's Mira? I would advise you not to hang around with these good-for-nothing demons. Danny, you may be one of the smartest demons in the world, but you are a low-level demon, so you will never be able to use your skills for any meaningful job. And Marcuse, you are smart and strong, but the only thing you will be is the king. You will never know hard work."

Chaos finally explained his frustration with them.

"And I assume you believe you are better than them?"

Mira asked.

"Yes. I am a smart, strong, high-level demon whose fate was not decided yet."

Chaos answered.

"Kids, take your seats. The lesson starts now."

The same rough-looking teacher who shouted at Danny earlier said as he entered the classroom.
