"We have no problem removing you ourselves so please hurry on out." The man in a black trench coat said as the nurse quickly left the room.
Although Detective Henry seemed reluctant, he still left. The man in the black trench coat closed the door after him and headed towards the curtains to block out any sunlight that entered. While the man in the dark gray trench coat opened the suitcase on top of a bedside table next to Eli.
Inside the suitcase were two vials, one was filled with blue liquid while the other was more transparent, there were 2 syringes that were placed an inch above and below the vials and a blue cover that was strapped to the ceiling of the case.
"Here, Put this up S201." The man in the dark gray suit said as he tossed the folded mat to him.
"I don't believe in these fucking vampires at all. What are the chances he actually saw one." S201 said as he caught the mat and walked towards the door.
"It's not only the vampire. The base has plenty of evidence, you should check them out." The man in a dark gray suit said as he pulled a syringe and the vial with that transparent liquid.
"I did. Neither of them make sense." S201 said as he finished covering the door with the mat.
"…" The man in the gray suit remained silent as he pulled the transparent into the syringe. "How did you get to this position S201?" The man in the gray suit said in a completely confused tone as he pulled the blue liquid into the syringe.
"Like everyone else." S201 paused as if he was dumbfounded. "Plus we've never even seen the entrance so how the hell am I even supposed to believe in that place, let alone the 'dwellers' we made so called peace treaties with anyway." He said while making quotation marks with his hands.
" I understand now…" The man in the gray suit said as he pulled the sheets off of Eli. "You're one of those type of people… and a new soldier. Anyways 20-30 years ago the vampires went extinct which took the 'spirit of life' as they say out of the 'dwellers' for some reason, we were never told that reason. But what we do know is that the last king of vampires is locked away in one of the 'dwellers' kingdoms. So if your talking about them not being sighted until now, that's why. We aren't much of a worry to them anymore." The man in a gray suit said as he injected the transparent liquid into Eli's throat.
"Which dwellers? And if they went extinct how did another appear out of nowhere like this?" S201 asked as he stood by Eli's body while digging into his suit.
"We've already said too much here, wait till later." The man in the dark gray suit said as he injected the blue liquid into his neck.
As he pulled the needle out of Eli's neck, Eli's veins became more apparent and was suddenly flushed with the blue liquid that was injected into him. Eli's face muscles gradually started moving as if he was about to wake up.
"Just in case I didn't put enough anesthesia, hold his body down." The man in the dark gray suit said as he moved the table and moved closer to Eli's head.
Suddenly Eli's eyelids began to twitch before opening slowly. "Good morning 'Detective' Eli." Eli's vision was still hazy as he opened his eyes. And all he saw was two dark figures standing above him, one of them seemed weirdly closer to his body while the other one was closer to head.
"Wait. I thought we weren't supposed to hurt or interrogate anyone. How did we get authorization for this?" S201 asked as he continued to hold him down.
"This is different." The man in the dark gray suit said as he saw Eli's head turn. "I'm agent D124 and this is my partner for this mission, agent S201." D124 said as they showed their badges.
Eli's eyesight finally but he was confused as he woke up to the two random men standing above him in a hospital. Although as he got a closer look at them, he noticed the badges and was quickly able to piece together what could've happened after he encountered Drey.
"….Good morning, how long was I unconscious for?" Eli asked as he looked to D124.
"A night." D124 answered as they put their badges away.
"Just a night? Why are you here then?" Eli asked in a confused tone as he tried to pull his head back.
"Your hostage situation and more information about the first night was all over the news. Now we have no choice but to use half the HPA Branch to look for him." D124 explained as he waved his hand as he signaled to S201 to let go of him. "But that's only one of them, we still need the other two which is why we're here." D124 said.
As the CICA agents continued to interrogate Eli, hours passed and they still weren't able to even get a clue about Drey and his "hostage" Melissa White. All the while Detective Henry still waited outside the room for his friend, obviously curious as to how they were going to question him. And fortunately Kyle and Christian seemed to be on their way to their destination- wherever that is.
"We gotta bring them with us. Where are they?" Christian asked as two people on a motorcycle pulled up beside them.
"That was the only thing you said ever since we left. Who are you talking about?" Kyle asked as he looked at the two people with a perplexed look on his face.
"Kyle." Christian said in a deeper tone as he continued to look ahead.
"You're making this more complicated. They're already here with us." Kyle said as he pointed to the people on the motorcycle.
Christian slowly turned his head to Kyle after he looked at the motorcycle. "Please tell me you're lying." Christian said as he rubbed his forehead.
"They'll be able to follow us like this but I'm not sure how they got one of those." Kyle said as his eyes were suddenly flushed in a red light again.
"They can't follow us on that." Christian said as he started analyzing the motorcycle.
"What's wrong with it?" Kyle asked as he waved his hand towards them.
"Everything." Christian said as the motorcycle suddenly sped off. As he watched them speed past two red lights and turned a corner, he slowly turned his head to Kyle.
"If they find someplace to put the bike, they'll catch-up eventually." Kyle explained as his eyes seemed to follow them through the buildings.
"They're doing the exact opposite of staying out of sight." Christian said as the light finally turned green.
"They'll be fine." Kyle said as he lowered the window. "But how much blood do you guys get there because I might need it once we get there." Kyle said as his breathing seemed less controllable than earlier.
"What do you mean, you might need them? I thought you had a feast last night" Christian asked as he took a glance at Kyle.
"That was last night!" Kyle said almost as if he was shouting.
"…. We probably have at most 200 to 500 liters but after the deal we were supposed to make last night, I'm not sure if we'll be able to give you a lot." Christian said as he decided to keep an eye on Kyle while also watching the road.
Kyle's eyes seemed to be pulsating as he stared at all the people, they drove by. Kyle had his head turned completely almost exposing the crown of his head to Christian. As he glanced over Kyle again he noticed his brown hair gradually turning white, starting from his crown which gave Christian a bad feeling even though he tried to ignore to focus on the road.
Although Kyle had no idea about his hair, he was able to notice how Christian was feeling and immediately told him. "I'm good, focus on the road."
"If you're getting motion sickness than we could stop for a while." Christian said as he started to slow down.
"No, I'm fi-" Kyle was abruptly cut off as the old woman's voice appeared in his head again.
"2 minutes until you are forced to cooperate. As you were told before, you need to consume 50,000 liters of blood." The old voice spoke loudly in his head.
"No matter what, you will turn." The old voice echoed throughout his head as if the voice was just bouncing all over the walls in his head. Kyle started to develop a striking pain in his head as the voice echoed in his head repeatedly. The voice suddenly started to get louder instead of fading and it was as if he was losing his mind. Than he started to lose feeling in his arms, starting from the tip of his fingers and to him it was like someone was slowly pulling him out of his own body.
"Kyle!" Christian shouted as Kyle's head was down as if he was tryna dig his head into his lap and his hand covering his ear. Christian immediately pulled over to check on Kyle. "Are you okay?!" He asked after he moved one of Kyle's hands away from his ear, although he was still unable to hear him because the echoes grew so loud, he wasn't able to hear anything around him.
As Christian saw Kyle's hair quickly turning white and he looked under his seat and immediately tried to reach for whatever he saw. He started moving multiple things around which made it begin to sound as if he was cluelessly searching a bag. Although the sound was muffled and quiet, it seemed to bother Kyle because after Christian was able to find what he was looking for, he looked up to check on Kyle. And it was as if he was looking into a red hole as Kyle was just staring at him through the spaces in his hair.
"What the hell-" Christian thought as he hesitantly sat up.
