[Saturday 8:00 P:M, just a couple minutes after Detective Eli's questioning.]
"Your still here?" S201 said as he walked out of the hospital room with D124.
"I only just got back from the station." Detective Henry said as he stood up from the chair.
"Well we're done with your friend. He has a couple of minutes left before he falls asleep if you want to talk to him. Come on, we gotta go S" D124 said as he walked away as if he was in a hurry.
"If you have anymore information about the culprits of yesterday's kidnapping, feel free to contact us." S201 said as he followed behind D124.
"Yeah... Sure." Detective Henry was quick to discard whatever they said from his mind as he went into Eli's hospital room.
When Detective Henry walked in and got closer to him, he noticed Eli's eyes were unbeliveably low as if he was foring himself to stay up just to watch the news. Eli's skin was also pale as if he was at death's door.
"Holy crap." Detective Heny said in a shakey tone as he seemingly froze.
"Oh shit, what are you doing here!?" Eli said in a tone that seemed to be the exact opposite of how he looked.
"Your my partner, I just came by to check on you." Detective Henry said in a completely different tone as if he was trying to hide how worried he was.
"That's nice. Better than them coming just for a report." Eli said as he slowely turned his head to Detective Henry. "You just came back from the station?" He asked as he saw the badge on his breast pocket.
"Yeah I figured, I'd stop by before heading home." Detective Henry said as he wiped the tip of his nose. "About those CICA agents, what the hell is the Human Protection Act Branch?" Detective Henry asked.
"Thanks." Eli said in a grateful tone. "Well as you know the CICA is the intelligence ageny in the U.S, they also have a branch dedicated to the protection of humans from other species." Eli explained before he took a brief pause.
"Other species? You mean like lions and other dangerous animals like them?" Detective Henry asked in a confused tone.
"No, I mean species that can actually pose a direct to human life itself such as vampire, giants and the like. The Human Protection Act branch protects us from that.... world, you could say by collecting information from multiple conutries, mostly first world because of the resources that are put into the branch." Eli explained as his voice fell. "That's why they were here." He slowly continued.
"That's crazy. You're saying their here to protect us from monsters that were made in folktales?" Detective Henry said in a doubtful tone.
"Those folktales were created from..... Monsters." Eli said as his eyes shut and his skin was turning back to it's original color as the effects from the blue liquid was quickly wearing off.
Although Detective Henry had more questions, he stopped as he realized Eli was about to fall asleep once again. Though he seemed to be less worried as he saw the his skin's color returning, the thoughts of a vampire running around and hunting at night made him want to head home faster, out of worry for his family.
"It's a good thing I got here before visiting hours were over, I'm gonna start heading before it's get's too late so Good night, Eli." Detective Henry said as he walked over tothe curtains to open them a little.
About 30 minutes after D124 and S201 left he hospital, they made it to one of the CICA's Human protection act branche bases.
"Humanity Protection Act, Protector D124 has returned and is ready to give his report about the 'Vampire' situation." A man said as he stood near the door in a large room.
"Tell him to come in." A man said in a exhausted tone as he sat at a round table that was surrounding by 11 other men.
"Yes sir." The man at the door said as he opened the door. "Protector D124, the chiefs wants you to hear your report." The man said as he stepped to the side and held the door open.
After a couple seconds, D124 finally walked into the room and met the 12 men sitting at the round table who each had a platinum nametag on their chest. Next to their names was a country flag and a mark that signified them as a general.
"Good evening Chief Protectors, I apologize for being late to report. He had more to say about his interactions with them that seemed to be useful." D124 said as he walked towards the round table.
" 'Evening D124, we could excuse the tardiness if the information is useful." The Chinese Chief said in a unenthusiastic way as if he was doubting D124's information.
"Yes I do. I have a video of the questioning and a written document of everything that was said. Would like me to present them during this report or do you want a summary of it." D124 said as he held the briefcase up to them.
"We'll look over it later, tell us the summary." The Australian Chief said as he stared at the briefcase.
"Yes sir." D124 said as he placed the briefcase on the table before taking a couple steps back. "During Protector S201's and my questioning of Eli, he told us that the kidnapper who took took the nurse was indeed a vampire but he was not the man from the first night. According to Eli, the man talked as if he had no idea of the dwellers but we can assume he's a servant who was just turn because a minutes before he woke up, he was dead. The kidnapper who can be easily identified as Drey Valentine with a somewhat altered appearance because of the transformation has already developed his fangs and red eyes as well as in the slow change of his hair color." D124 continued on with his summary and told them everything that was shared to them during the questioning. "I must also inform you that Drey's human blood cannot be traced back to any hospital in New York and without authorization from you and the Dweller Chiefs, we cannot conduct any further investigation into this vampire, at most we could at least detain him for a while." D124 finally finished as put the briefcase on the round table.
"Give us sometime so we could discuss this with them and we'll get back to you later with the authorization of sending them back." The Australian Chief said.
"Are you certain that we can consider Drey Valentine a vampire?" The American Chief asked.
"From what I gathered, yes I am." D124 answered confidently.
The American Chief opened the briefcase to take a look at the stuff inside before passing it to the other chiefs. "Does this conclude your report?" The American Chief asked.
"Yes it does." D124 said.
"You and S201 did good work and we'll call you when we have your next assignment ready along with the authorization." The American Chiefs said.
"Thank you sir, I'll take my leave now." D124 said as gently patted his chest with his right hand before turning to walk out the room.
As he walked out the room, the man was already holding the door for him and shut it almost immediately after he stepped out of room. "I wonder why they chose those generals to represent this time. Some of them never even talked to a dweller." D124 said as he checked the time. "That took longer than it should've, I need to figure out where the hell that vampire hides. He must have some connections but I doubt anyone gonna give away a vampire.... the only thing we could use at the moment is probably Drey Valentine's..... Shit." D124 thought as he suddenly stopped walking.
D124's report lasted about 2 hours while Christian and his friends were still tryna find My Lord and Kyle's servants. They only just finished checking the cathedral for them but was too late and just sat in the parking lot, trying to figure someplace to search next.
"This is taking too long." Christian said in a irritated tone as he stressfully rubbed his forehead.
"Who would've fucking thought Vampires prayed." Michael said as he backed out of a parking lot that was behind the cathedral.
"He might start drawing more attention to himself tonight, why the hell would he stop here." Urie said as she started fiddling with her gloves.
"I don't know but we're wasting time looking for Kyle, we should start looking for places vampires would hunt." Christian said as his eyes began to wonder in thought.
"All the places he hunted? I only know some of them like the ones from a last night." Michael said as he drove to park near the sidewalk.
"No that was Kyle. We aren't looking for his patterns, we're looking for the vampire's patterns." Christian said as he pulled out his phone.
"What's the difference? They're the same person." Michael said. "Does he have a phone?"
"He turned it off." Christian said as he tried to call Kyle but the call immediately went to voicemail. "That's probably true but whenever the vampire is hunting, he tends to go for bright areas that are more crowded which is why the police was able to chase him but Kyle, hunts the way we asked him to. Although he still leaves corpses in the middle of the street." Christian said as he tried to lower the window.
Although Christian barely opened the window, it was like this warm and sweet aroma was waiting for them as it slowly creeped into the car and gently flowed into their nose. "Where the hell is that smell coming from?" Michael said as he lowered his window and started driving.
"Where the hell are we going?" Christian asked in a confused tone.
"To the source of that beautiful smell." Michael said as he started speeding past the cathedral.
Although Christian thought it was weird that not only did Michael knew where to go but he did as well, he didn't think much of it though because he also wanted to go towards the smell. "Urie do you know where to go?" Christian asked as his red glint appeared in the corner of his eye.
"I don't know where to go but I know which way it is." Urie said as she completely lowered her window.
As they drove a couple blocks away from the cathdral, the smell got much stronger as Christian noticed there was other people aside from them being going towards the source of the smell. Once they lost sight of the cathedral, the smell grew stronger and the streets were crowded with people going in one direction. "This is bad." Christian said as he saw how many cars were behind them.
"What so bad about this amazing aroma?" Michael asked in a confused tone as if he was blind to the amount of people in front of them.
"We could get trapped like this, lets find another way around this crowd." Christian said in an seemingly anxious tone as he closed his window and turned the car's ac on.
Christian was completely distrustful of the aroma even though he was also infatuated with it like everyone else, he seemed to be the only one wanting to get away from it. The amount of people that's currently heading in the same direction made him suspicious and he began to wonder who the hell was the cause of this hypnotizing aroma.
The aroma has stretched through the herd of hundreds of humans and came from the top of the same building that was shown on the news. The source of the aroma was none other than My Lord who stood at the very edge with Drey and Melissa beside her.
*Snfffffff* As if she was breathing in fresh air, My Lord smelled the odor coming from the crowd below and her eyes widened as if she was looking at a banquet. "Their blinded by my blood, this may seem to be quite devilish but I alone am far from the principals of the Great King." My Lord said as she held her stake in the air which slowly evaporated the blood inside.
"Do you not worship him?" Drey asked in confusion as he stared at the people below.
"I worship no one, I pray to the Great King as respect and appreciation for granting me life. He was also the one responsible for some of things vampires can do." My Lord said as she put the stake in her back pocket
"Like what?" Melissa asked stared at all of the humans at the foot of the building.
"Well one of them is being able to charm other species. We can give them a certain type of enlightenment and if they were scared of us before that, they wouldn't be. Like with the bishop, another vampire already got to him and charmed him which is why he was so welcoming to us, instead of trying to turn us away. I didn't sense any fear from him but it forces them to share their senses with me whenever I'm nearby and I can't stop it." My Lord explained.
"So there's a possibility that another vampire is in this city?" Drey asked in an somewhat protective tone before he heard the blades of a helicopter in the distance.
"Okay! We've waited long enough!" My Lord said as she raised her hands as if she was about to stretch while look at the thousands of people on the ground, who looked like a bunch of ants under a lamp. "Let's begin our feast." My Lord before she jumped off the roof.
As My Lord and the servants of Kyle begin their hunt, Christian and his friends were still a few blocks away. With so much people randomly in the streets at night, these were only citizen who were victim to the smell, meaning that there is still tons of residents wondering why everyone is flocking to one building. These many people, of course there was a chance that at least one of them were gonna inform the police. Now these humans began dropping like flies.
"Sir, there is a- a crowd of people blocking the street." The officer seemed scared as his voice trembled like it was crawling through the radio.
"Go around, it's probably just a carnival or a parade. There was a couple that happened in Manhattan." The Chief said as he continued to look through a report.
"It isn't." The officer's voice fell flat as if he was looking at something worse.
"Then tell them to leave the area, they can't block the street." The Chief said in a slightly irritated tone.
"I- I can't." The officer stuttered.
"What do you mean you can't, do you need reinforcement?" The Chief asked in a worried tone.
"No… please don't- send them to this trap. I can't move the car…. I got too close." The officer said as the chief heard him frantically tryna position himself on the chair.
"Just back away from them and get out of there. Once you get back to the station we'll send a team to check it out. That's an order." The Chief said after he calmed his tone.
"Y-yes sir." The officer almost sound relieved as he turned his car on. "Oh shit." The officer said as he dropped his phone.
The moment he turned his care, the crowd was just staring at him. He tried to quickly back up and drive away but the moment he put the car in reverse, it was as if something slammed into the passenger's window and made the car lean over a bit.
"They won't notice if I hunt you quickly. My sweet officer, they won't even bat an eye." My Lord said as her eyes seemed so bright and red that it was almost blinding.
The officer didn't realize, the window was rolled down but he tried escaping into the corner of the driver seat in fear and slight confusion. As he had no choice but to looked into My Lord's eyes, he uttered one more warning to the chief as he urgently rushed to his phone.
"It's the monster from the first-" his voice was suddenly cut off as a large thud echoed through the Chief's radio.
