"...He apologized?" Detective Eli said in an even more confused tone.
"We should check it out after we visit the victims." Detective Henry said as he parked in front of the hospital.
"You're right!" Detective Eli said in a seemingly excited tone as he unbuckled his seat and got out of the car.
The detectives immediately headed inside the hospital and walked up to the medical receptionist, whose attention was de ores to her computer screen.
"Umm, excuse me." Detective Henry said as he grew impatient.
"One second please." The medical receptionist answered immediately as she stopped typing and pushed her keyboard to the side and pulled out a clipboard and attached paper to it.
"We are Detectives from the 44th precinct and we're here to see a patient who was transported here half an hour ago." Detective Eli said as he noticed she was now waiting for them.
"Yes, patient name and badges please." The medical receptionist said as she started writing on the paper.
"The patients name Drey Corralline." Detective Eli said as he and Detective Henry showed their badges.
"Ok, go to room 325 and show this paper to the doctors or nurses in the room." The medical receptionist said as she handed them the paper. "You can use the elevator over there. *Ding*" The medical receptionist said as people started leaving the elevator.
As they entered the elevator, the hospital security guards radio beeped, "Send-" was heard before the elevator closed and cut off the detectives from hearing the rest.
"Was that yours?" Detective Eli asked as the elevator played a gentle instrumental.
"Nah, the elevator is playing that." Detective Henry said as he hopped his head.
"I wasn't- Never mind." Detective Eli said as the elevator opened.
Although as the elevator opened, multiple hospital security guards rushed past the door. The detectives immediately started following behind them and noticed they were going in the same direction Drey Corralline's room is located.
"What are the chances it's the victim?" Detective Eli asked before one of them started shouting.
"HE HAS A HOSTAGE." The guard shouted as one of them started running away.
"I think you should follow him, make sure he contacts the police." Detective Eli said as he tried to go through the security guards.
"Please step back, one of the patients is currently causing trouble and we don't want you to get hurt but the police is on there way." A Security Guard said as he stopped Detective Eli from getting closer.
"We are the police." Detective Henry replied to both of them.
"I mean to get back up obviously." Detective Eli said as showed the security guard his badge. "This is the room, we need to tell them about the patient." Detective Eli said as the security guard backed away.
"We didn't even get the room yet, how do you know it's him?" Detective Henry questioned as he started getting aggravated.
"Go." Detective Eli ordered which sent Detective Henry away. Detective Eli waited for him to turn before he turned back towards the room. "Clear the way, I'll deal with him." Detective Eli ordered the guards as he put on black gloves and pulled out two pistols from the inside of his coat.
The security guards promptly moved out of the detective's way while keeping their eyes on the patient. As Detective Eli entered the room, he shut the door close with his heel while keeping eye contact with him and pistols aimed at the patient.
"The nurse, is she another servant?" Detective Eli asked as he pointed one of his pistols at her.
"Yes, she's mine. Where is my master?" Drey said as he let her go.
"Your master? I'm not sure." Detective Eli said in a confused tone. "Shouldn't you know that yourself? What are you doing up here anyway?" Detective Eli asked as he switched the channel on his radio.
"What do you mean? I was turned here- I was turned here in my master's kingdom. Who are you, do you stand against my master?" Drey asked in a hostile tone.
"No but I don't stand with him. Currently humanity has a great truce going on with the people below but your species was supposedly exterminated leaving only one survivor which is now locked away so how are you and you master on this surface?" Detective Eli questioned in a demanding tone as he slowly walked towards them.
"You speak nonsense with hostility, I've no time for the ignorant and I must locate my master." Drey said as he turned towards the large curtains covering the window.
"Don't-" Detective Eli suddenly lost his breath as the nurse kicked him in his stomach and pushed him into the door which nearly broke off its hinges from the impact.
"Leave him, master has no need for such a servant. Come on, we'll look for a safe house for the master." Drey said as he ripped off the curtains and broke the large window.
"Okay." The nurse said as he jumped out followed behind him and jumped out the window.
Detective Eli laid unconscious in front of door as Detective Henry tried pushing through the door. Unfortunately they had no idea the young Detective's unconscious body blocked the door.
"Move!" As a muscular security guard pushed Detective Henry out of the way and kicked the door open. Detective Eli's body was pushed out of the way completely as the door swung off half of its lower hinges.
"What the hell are you made of?" Detective Henry said as he looked at the security before turning his head to the room. "Oh shit." Detective Henry said in a trembling tone as he looked at Detective Eli on the floor.
While the detective called for the nurse, Kyle was in his room looking at a black hologram screen that floated above his face.
"What the hell I get a notice for?" Kyle thought to himself as he looked at the hologram screen labeled "Menu"
At the bottom of the screen there was a notification that quickly expanded and covered the whole screen below the screen. An old woman's voice read aloud "Congratulations! Nearly an hour ago, you consumed enough blood to progress closer to being a vampire which evolved your blood and created one blood servant."
"A Blood servant?" Kyle asked as the screen shrunk and another one popped up.
"Your Blood Servants are searching for you. All screens will close so he can find you." The old woman's voice said before the screen's closed.
"Servants-" Kyle said before the doorbell rang.
"No, don't press it again. Don't rush the Master." Kyle overheard Drey's unbelievably loud voice coming from outside his window.
"Alright." The nurse said as she walked behind him.
"How the hell are they here already!" Kyle said to himself as he rushed out of his room.
Although they stood just outside his house door, they heard him rushing down the stairs. "Is he running? Can you also hear him Master?" The nurse asked as she pulled her ears slightly.
"Yes, our hearing is nearly 40% stronger than a bats after turning... assuming you know how well they can hear." Drey said as he took a step closer.
"Nope." The nurse said as the door opened.
"A nurse?! Oh fucking hell, hurry up and get in." Kyle said as he rushed them. "Go into the only open room up those stairs." Kyle moved back a bit as they ran past him and headed straight up to his room.
Kyle immediately closed the door and headed up to his room behind them but as he entered his room they just stood awkwardly twiddling their fingers. Kyle sat down on a near that was near his desk.
"You could sit down anywhere, even the bed just don't sit on my pillows." Kyle said as his eyes immediately darted to them.
Yes, master." They said simultaneously as they both sat on the floor.
"Are you- Sit on the bed please." Kyle said in a dumbfounded tone.
"This is fine master but in all due respect, I thought you'd be older. You're quite young even for a vampire who just turned." Drey asked as he inched a bit closer.
"Yeah, I seem to have gotten lucky. What jobs do you have?" Kyle said in a dismissive tone before he asked another question.
"I don't know much about vampires or myself, but when I was turned I immediately knew how to use my abilities, I also know their anatomy and how to treat mostly all vampire wounds." The nurse said in an excited tone.
"Are you saying you lost your memories?" Kyle asked in shock.
"Yes, Master. All but my intelligence was lost." The nurse said in a strained tone.
"That's odd, you don't have to try and hurt yourself. It'll probably come back soon… did the same happen to you?" Kyle asked in a bewildered tone.
"Yes, My lord but I do have an immense amount of knowledge and an important one for you." Drey said in a strained tone as he squinted.
"And that is?" Kyle asked as he pulled in closer.
"I can't seem to remember it right now my lord but once I regain it, I can tell you anything." Drey said confidently.
"Okay, we'll talk later then, for now just go find someplace safe to hide and stay out of sight." Kyle said as he quickly backed away in subtle disappointment.
"Yes, My Lord. If you need us, we'll be here no matter what." Drey said before he stood up and leaped out of the window, the nurse immediately followed behind him after nodding her head again in respect.
"Did I make a mistake today?" Kyle thought to himself as he closed his window.
