After confirming why after one month, not a single person in that village had evolved, Kane concluded that he wouldn't stay there for long. Although it would be dangerous to travel around that world as a goblin due to his species and his lust bar, Kane would do precisely that… he couldn't afford to waste his… fifth life leaving in such a carefree manner. The last thing that he wanted was to die again and it was clear that living such peaceful monster life would lead him to that path.

It was kind of shocking that he decided that after just four hours in that village, but it couldn't be helped. Given the circumstances, it would be better to leave after seeing how the humans there could fight against the giant bees and the carnivorous plants. Still, Kane decided to level up as much as possible before he could feel the effects when the lust bar becomes near full.
Unfortunately, he couldn't do that while his group was hunting the green snakes. So, he had to waste six hours doing absolutely nothing aside from observing them. Just like the previous group, Leia and the others only hunt three snakes and called it a day. To make matter worse, Kane didn't learn a single thing since the goblins who had spears only used them three times. At that rate, even if Kane asks them for a few tips, they wouldn't tell anything because the number of things they could do were extremely limited.
It was getting dark when Kane and the others returned to the village. Fortunately, the place was well-lit thanks to the power of numerous torches. Thankfully, the nights in that place weren't dark… but that also means that any enemy could easily find that village with relative ease. By the look of things, Kane was the only newcomer who appeared at that village that day. So, he would be able to leave it without any lingering feelings of guilt.
Much to his surprise, one hour later, all the people of that village reunited at the center of the place except for those who were in guard duty to eat together. Since they didn't have any cooking utensils, they only dismantled the snakes, and then they would grill it. Afterward, every single person could take a decent amount of meat using their own weapons.
"Mmm… not bad."
Snake's meat tasted a bit like pork, but it wasn't unnaturally salty… so Kane felt quite satisfied by eating the first and last meal that he would have in that village. After eating, those who had worked hard that day or would begin to work early the next day headed to the houses, but Kane went to the entrance of the village, and the wary eyes of the guards received him.
"I think I ate too much; can I borrow a torch while I finish my business outside the village?" Kane asked.
"… You are the newbie, right?" One of the guards asked. "Why didn't you do this earlier? Can't you wait until tomorrow? We don't want to look for you if you take your time out there. Although we secured the surroundings of this village, we aren't one hundred percent safe yet."
"I can't wait until tomorrow…" Kane said.
"Then, I will send one of my men with you," The guard said.
"I can't finish while a man is nearby…" Kane forced a smile.
"Then, how about a woman," The guard frowned.
"I would rather die than shit in front of a woman," Kane said, showing a serious expression.
"… Do as you wish, then," The guard looked at Kane as if she was some sort of weird animal while passing him a torch.
Kane slightly bowed and thanked the guards. Although it was dangerous, the best time for Kane to leave that place was at night. It was clear that the people of that village wouldn't leave the place to look for the newbie; they didn't even know the name. Besides, Kane would be able to use the torch to scare the monsters. In fact, it was the only thing he would use as a weapon against the carnivorous plants. Veggies? He could live without them. Perhaps they would taste good even burned, he couldn't tell.

Kane was in a race against time, so he had to do his best before he turns into an uncontrollable sex beast. That was what he imagined goblins would become at the moment their lust bar is full, and to delay that, the only thing he could do was to alleviate himself in the middle of a dense forest filled with monsters. Kane couldn't help but facepalm since he was a monster and he was in a fantasy world but still had to think about such matters. In a sense, he was thankful for having such small worry, but still...
"There is also the fact that I can only level up skills while fighting, and at the moment, I can only level up one skill. So, I really have to hurry."
Kane didn't hear a single sound amidst the darkness of the forest, but he didn't hesitate to leave the village behind as fast as possible. Eventually, he would arrive on the monster's territories, and then the long night would begin, but he was really looking forward to that.
As soon as Kane found the signs of the first battle that he observed that day, he concentrated even more. It looked like in that area, the chances of him finding those green snakes were higher, but he couldn't just hope that those creatures were the only things that would want a piece of him.
Even though his body was different, he still could focus just like before and hear everything around him. The sound of the torch burning was strong since it was close to his ears, but he still could clearly hear the wind even amidst that dense forest. Suddenly, Kane listened to a scream… surprisingly, it didn't come from his back, but on the path ahead of him. The voice resembled one of a human's, and then he heard a grunt. The scream seemed a bit high-pitched, while the grunt sounded a bit graver… it looked like instead of a monster, Kane found other humans who had reincarnated as goblins. His first instinct was to run and help them, but that could be a trap… so instead of running, Kane tried to run without making much noise.
