Chapter 53 - Red alert III

Thud"

"Cough cough"

'Rumble rumble'

As soon they fall on the ground because of the impact of their landing the soil and dust rise from the ground making a wall making them unable to see.

Soon modern labs came into their view several desks with microscopes present and tubes which glass was already broken.

But before they can even look around and observe a horrific foul smell soon passed through their nostrils.

Among them Garfield was the one who was making a funny face people would think that he had gone mad of smell. Garfield was the one among them being small in height has their benefits but his height balance with his other senses like his nose was the most sensitive to smells.

"Sneeze"

Garfield sneezes unable to hold his breath anymore. David who was walking alongside him didn't miss the chance to point that out.

"Have you finally gone bad? "David said to him while watching him Garfield wanted to rebuke him but he held back and said

"David today I know why you joined the military, want me to tell you "while making subtle changes in his face

David didn't find anything wrong and said

"Oh you know then why not tell me"

"Because your fart is a silent but deadly weapon!"

Everyone started to laugh badly in fact they had forgotten the smell. Garfield was rolling on the ground holding his stomach.

While rolling left and right Garfield stumbles upon something and stops laughing as he turns his face his hurt jumps out of his chest.

In front of him lay a body a dead body of a beast whose one teeth jaw was open and one eye was missing. By seeing it one type anyone one can tell that this was the mutated beast.

He kicked it suddenly only to find out it was already dead And the foul stench was coming from it.

All looked toward in the direction of noise only to find that Garfield had done something. The lazy man speaks while observing

"Look around there are lots of beasts and dead bodies spread in this whole room, it's clear it was some kind of experiment lab and these were their subject."After a slight pause, he yawned "I think we should look around here have any big fight occurred we might find some evidence."

Everyone didn't doubt any of his words because it was always like this never had his evaluation gone wrong soon they all started looking around in whole lab only one step echoed.

Layla was the one to point out the location where a platform over which several broken chain pieces were thrown.

"Look over here "Everyone moves close to the platform

As soon as the lazy man appeared near the platform he looked up and down closed his eyes and breathed

"Whatever was here was not simple, it was big enough to cause that hole through which we entered accordingly it had escaped and it was caged in here ."

"What do you think Hwak ?"

The old man was named Hawk, with a weathered face and a mane of white hair cascading down to his shoulders, commanded attention wherever he went. His beard, long and unkempt, added to his rugged appearance, framing his face with a sense of wisdom and experience.

His eyes were a slight silver color. They held the wisdom of years gone by, as well as a hint of mischief that hinted at a life well-lived. A small scar on the back of his neck bore witness to battles fought But far from being a mark of weakness, it served as a badge of honor.

Hawk says while making a serious face

"It's not as simple as it looks. It's hard to tell but my experience says this is just a small of what is about to start."

Hawk led the way, his silver eyes scanning the shadows for signs of movement.

"Let's split up," Hawk suggested, his voice steady despite the tension in the air. "We need to gather as much information as possible."

Layla nodded, her determination evident. "I'll check the terminal over there," she said, pointing to a cluster of flickering screens in the corner of the lab. "Maybe I can find out what they were working on."

Garfield glanced around, spotting a hidden door partially obscured by fallen debris. "I'm going to check this out," he said, his curiosity piqued. "Something tells me there's more to this place than meets the eye."

David and Hawk exchanged looks, and David shrugged. "I guess I'll stick with you, Garfield. I'd rather not be alone in this creepy place."

As they moved toward the hidden door, Layla approached the terminal. Her fingers danced over the keyboard, and the screen flickered to life, revealing a maze of files and data. "Come on, come on," she murmured, frustration creeping into her voice as she navigated the system.

Meanwhile, Garfield and David pried open the hidden door, revealing a small room shrouded in darkness. The air was thick with the smell of decay, and the faint glimmer of glass caught their attention. They stepped inside cautiously.

"Ugh, what is that?" David wrinkled his nose as he stumbled upon a pile of broken glass and scattered papers.

Garfield illuminated the room with his flashlight, revealing a series of charts and diagrams pinned to the walls. "Looks like they were keeping track of something," he muttered, carefully picking up a crumpled paper. "Experiment notes... mutation rates... They were monitoring the beasts' transformations."

His heart raced as he flipped through the papers. Each entry detailed gruesome experiments, the lengths they had gone to in the name of science. "This is sick," he said, disgust evident in his voice. "They were treating these creatures like lab rats."

David leaned closer, peering over Garfield's shoulder. "Do you think this has anything to do with the escaped creature?" he asked.

"Definitely," Garfield replied, his expression grim. "If they were studying them here, that means they were planning something big."

As they absorbed the shocking information, Layla's voice called from the other room. "Guys! You need to see this!"

They hurried back to the main lab, where Layla had finally decrypted a file labeled "Project Genesis." The screen displayed an ominous logo, a snake wrapped around a broken chain. "This was a secret government project aimed at creating super-soldiers using genetic manipulation," she explained, her brow furrowed in concentration.

"Super-soldiers?" David echoed incredulously. "You mean to tell me they were trying to turn these beasts into weapons?"

"Exactly," Layla confirmed, her eyes scanning the data. "And the creature that escaped... it was their final prototype. If they managed to complete the project, we could be facing an army of mutated beasts."

Hawk, who had been silently observing, stepped forward, his expression serious. "This isn't just about us anymore. We need to warn the others and find a way to stop this project from moving forward."

Garfield felt a chill run down his spine. "But how? If they have the resources to create these beasts, who knows what else they're capable of?"

"We'll find a way," Hawk replied, his voice steady. "First, we need to locate the escaped creature. It's likely heading toward a populated area, and we can't let it wreak havoc."

"Agreed," Layla said, determination gleaming in her eyes. "We need to regroup and figure out our next move. If they're as powerful as this data suggests, we'll need all the help we can get."

Everyone nodded old man was thinking about something but as it came to his mind he shook his head removing that thought.

"We should move forward the signal is coming from behind that wall, "Hawk said looking into his device which blinking.

Soon they found a door from some distance to the platform they all gathered around it the gate lit up and opens

Layla informs after looking at the condition of the lab "Lab energy has not run out equipment is also working fine but the security system isn't working it looks like whoever was running it has either abandoned it or has been killed."

As soon as the door opens they all stop didn't move forward. The environment becomes chilly as hawk spokes

As he watches the group around a long table and a few soldiers, his vision shifts to the holographic image, seeing which memory of his past appears in his mind.

"So what occasion is it today, that I have such a coincidence of meeting my dear Max but again you are not present here "with a somewhat stoic expression

Grandpa Max who was on the holographic vision and was watching them after listening to the hawk boys replies

"My friend looks like you are still angry no worry we will meet soon "Then he looked toward his team nodded to Sarah and John and said that they had already discussed the move as it is

Hawk seeing this turns red and says

"You fucker who is your friend, you again ran away "

The mischievous old man was now angered and there was no way anyone could even guess he looked mischievous.

Some started to ponder why he was behaving like this unable to comprehend they left him on his own and moved toward the group.

All of them gathered around the table. Sarah detailed them about the whole event after listening to which they were stupified how so much can occur on a single day.

The attack on the school, the lab, and the Dark region—as if this was not enough—was also seen, especially by the most dangerous revenger who took a boy with him.

Everyone shares their information about the situation.
