Chapter 56 - Trouble after Trouble

Alex was munching on soft bread with sweet jam in the heart of the great forest, sitting on a large boulder atop a mountain. People might wonder how he managed to find such a delicacy in the wild. The answer was simple: advanced nanotechnology. Because of this innovation, carrying items became convenient, without the need to lug around bulky supplies. Before Alex entered military school, Grandpa Max had provided him with several essential items, all of which were stored in tiny nano cubes attached to his clothes.

After finishing his snack, Alex carefully packed away the leftovers and tucked the yellow-colored nano cube device back into his pocket. He stretched his arms, looked around, and voiced his thoughts aloud.

"I should return. Grandpa Max might be worried, but I don't even know the direction, let alone where I am."

A heavy sigh escaped his lips. His current predicament was quite complex. His gaze wandered over the vast expanse around him. He was on a large mountain, its steep sides making it impossible to climb down easily. It was even larger than the mountains he had scaled during training with Grandpa Max.

As he scoured the landscape for a way down, he glanced at his clothes. They were tattered and blood-stained, the colors slightly different from his own. Lost in thought, he recalled a memory from a while ago when he had just woken up from a strange dream. He was flooded with memories of someone – or rather, something. The creature is responsible for bringing him to this mountain.

In those memories, he had felt emotions that were foreign to him – a strange phenomenon indeed. The creature, a beast akin to the dragon species known as Winddrake, was Alex's guardian. On a peaceful day, the balance of the forest had been disrupted by an unknown cause. Alex vividly remembered the fear of the unknown that had gripped the Winddrake. The sky had started spitting fire, and explosions had surrounded the Winddrake, leaving its family crushed and burned, helpless and unable to fight back.

In the ensuing chaos, the Winddrake had gone berserk with hatred, rampaging around the forest. Eventually, something had caught its frenzied attention – a rock responsible for the devastation. The Winddrake had crushed it, but its body had begun to change in the days that followed. It lost its mind and transformed into a monstrous ravager, its attacks becoming extraordinarily powerful.

Alex's eyes had seen the Winddrake's rampage in a large city, where it killed many civilians and overpowered the military with devastating wind hurricanes. He had seen wind blades slicing entire army tanks into specks of dust and felt the terrifying power of the Winddrake's attacks, including one where it fought a blighting harpy. The harpy's deafening cry had filled Alex's lungs with wind, and the Winddrake had unleashed a blast that turned bones to ash, leaving no trace of blood or flesh.

Returning to his surroundings, Alex tried to replicate the sensations he had experienced in the Winddrake's memories, but nothing happened. After several unsuccessful attempts, he decided to climb down the steep mountainside. It was risky, but fear was an alien concept to Alex, who suffered from alexithymia. Without hesitation, he began his descent. His shoes provided a good grip on the rocky surface as he clung to protruding stones. Dust flew around, almost making him sneeze.

His mind wandered back to the memories of the Winddrake. The creature's transformation from guardian to ravager was a testament to the powerful and unpredictable forces at play in the world. Alex couldn't help but wonder about his place in this chaotic landscape. As he continued his careful descent, he realized that the Winddrake's memories might hold the key to understanding his journey and the challenges he would face.

Suddenly, the ground beneath him shifted, and he lost his footing. He scrambled to find a hold .If there was a normal person his heart would have flew out after seeing the seenry. The steep wall offered little in terms of stability, but Alex's determination kept him focused. He managed to find a small ledge to rest on, catching his breath and regaining his composure.

"One step at a time," he muttered to himself, resuming his descent with renewed focus.

As he reached a more stable part of the mountain, the memories of the Winddrake continued to replay in his mind. The fear, the rage, the destruction – they all seemed so real, so vivid. He couldn't shake the feeling that these memories were more than just remnants of the past.

suddenly moves down to get a hold of the protruding stone even before he could get a proper hold the stone breaks unable to make balance Alex lost his footing freely falling same vision kicks in eyes of Alex.

Trying to use the same methods which he failed before syncing himself completely in his surrounding alex eyes flutters open his glowing a slight purple the wind under alex started to twist slowly forming a air tornado balancing Alex in mid air.

If someone to see Alex from down of the mountain his eyes will fall out from their socket Alex was currently lying in mid air on a tornado which was slowly started to grow stronger slowly reaching ground. As alex tried to balance himself to get a hold of situation unable to make balance he himself gets caught in the tornado he was just 8 ft from ground he was thrown on tree.

Emerging out of tree spitting out tree branches from his mouth jump down from trees.Looking his surrounding Alex found that the air tornado was nowhere but something caught his attention a far from his face something moving unable to point what it was but one thing which was visible was whatever it was it was moving. As if confirming his doubt.

" HISS " with out even a doubt Alex didn't hesitate and start running it was not a fight Alex can currently handle in front of him was a large apex predator ranking beast Pytharagon.
