Ms. Zager?" The man says from behind me, with my head bent, I search the table frantically for anything I could use as a weapon, but then I realized, mother had ordered for every sharp object to be removed from the room I'll be staying before the wedding, making sure I won't do anything to sabotage her plans.
She really didn't want to take chances.
"Yes?"
"Mr. Lee awaits your arrival" he says and my jaw drops to the floor.
"What?!"
"Ms Zager, Mr Lee is waiting in the car, please follow me" he says, and that's how I found myself following a complete stranger out of the hotel, the venue my mother chose, on my wedding day.

As I walked down the hallway, I realized that there wasn't anyone here, it was way too quiet for a wedding venue. I was starting to feel suspicious.
"Please be at ease Ms Zager, Mr Lee owns this hotel and has cleared the hallway especially for this moment" The man says with a stoic face, he probably noticed my uneasy expression.
"Doesn't this hotel belong to the Smith family?" I ask, confused. This hotel still belonged to the Smith family just two days ago when mother came to reserve a hall for the wedding.
"It used to, but Mr Lee purchased it yesterday" he explains, but his explanation only made me more confused.
I sight a black Maybach in the corner and I walk towards it, no one else could own a car like that if it wasn't Zach Lee. I feel so uncomfortable in this dress, all I want right now is to rip it off my body but as they say, patience is virtue, I'll have more than enough time to cut and burn this dress later.
