She found him standing outside the infirmary marquee.
"I thought you left," she said rubbing her exposed arms.
Lucien shrugged off his coat and placed it over her shoulder, "I have to walk you back first. I don't want you running into Zarek again, knowing him, he would not give you up so easily, especially now that he knows that I want you."
Levina nodded and then looked at him and smiled coyly, "So, you want me?"
Lucien's ears reddened, "I meant to say, now that he knows that you are with me. He thinks it's a kind of game. That he can get whatever it is I want, and there's nothing I can do to stop him."
"Like the chief commander position?"
"Yes." Lucien kicked a small rock in his path, "one time when we were little, I had this sword, it was a gift from my father. I used it for sword practice. So one day he decided that he wanted that sword, and when I refused he called our mother," Lucien chuckled dryly at the memory.
