Zarek smiled internally when he heard the horrified gasps of some of the men. Zarek for the first time since he woke up, was grateful for his puffy eye with had turned an ugly shade of bluish purple.
"He did this to you?" one of the men questioned in horror.
Lucien glared at Zarek, he could not believe that Zarek could stoop so low just to get what he wants.
"It was just a misunderstanding," Lucien responded. That was the best he could come up with in his defense.
"I caught our future king out in the forest with a young maiden, last night, and in a very compromising position, and when I confronted him, Lucien beat me up."
Lucien knew then and there that has lost the battle with Zarek.
"Is this true?" Durun asked in disappointment.
Lucien opened his mouth and closed it. Zarek was right to a great extent, and he would rather keep quiet than confirm what Zarek said.
"We should adjourn this meeting and reconvene, when Zarek is better," one of the men said.
