Cleopatra blinked, "I…uhh…I…sorry," she stuttered, turning a bright shade of red in embarrassment. She looked down at her feet.
Draven stared at her in shock, unsure of what to say. After a while, he sighed, "I didn't mean to yell. But someone could have seen us and misinterpreted the whole situation, and before you know it, they've started spreading rumors."
Cleopatra just stared at her gloved hands, red with embarrassment and upset that he rejected her. All this while she thought he had feelings for her and was just too scared or shy to make a move.
"I thought you liked me," her lips quivered as she spoke.
"What?" Draven's eyes widened in surprise. "Why would you think that?"
Cleopatra looked up, her eyes red from the tears welling up in them, "Because of the way you act and all." She rose to her feet as a lone tear raced down her cheek.
